The sun is setting on the horizon as red slowly conquers the sky and baths the earth in a red light. In the cities and villages, the inhabitants close their shops and return from the fields after a hard day of work, anticipating the warm embrace of their loved ones and the laughter of their children.
Only the red-light district slowly opens its doors to the single men and women who have yet to be tired. But they are not the only ones in the merchant guilds the profits of the day are counted and the mercenaries proceed to the taverns to drink and party to celebrate their health after another day of battle and hardship.
Here we see a group slowly walking towards the gates of a city. While merrily talking they slowly near the gates and their conversation becomes audible.
???: "Have you seen my shot?! If it weren't for me that bear wouldn't have died that easily!"
???: "We know you like to boast but keep it down, will ya? We've gotten in so much trouble simply because of your loose mouth."
???: "Do I have to remind you of what happened with the boss, Jack?"
Jack: "No you don't. And I apologized and she forgave me so leave it be, man. We all know she got something for Lar'ge, ey?"
Lar'ge: "..."
Jack: "Say something will ya?"
Lar'ge: "Not your business."
???: "There you got it not even Lar'ge wants to talk with you. He even bothered to reply! Ha ha ha."
Jack: "Emma! I have you know that I'm a very charismatic man!"
Emma: "Yeah, to the prostitutes since you got money and they know you'll come back since you will never get a girl. Ha ha ha!"
Jack: " Don't go t!"
???: "Shut it! Both of you!"
All: "Yes boss!"
???: "We're almost at the city remember our goal. We need a few cores as well as new weapons and afterward, we will move to the forest. Remember to stack up on explosives and antidotes."
Emma: "I'll get the antidotes and explosives. Mister Finch always gives me a discount. What will you be doing boss?"
???: "I'll meet the lady boss. Apparently, she needs something from the mountains and asked us for our time. You know she pays well. Ok, we are here. Spread out and take care of your business. We'll meet at the tavern in...4 hours, ok?"
All: "Yes boss!"
At the same time some tens of miles towards the east a cave, bathed in blue light, witnessed the combination of technology and a living beings brain. In the brain stem of the Protoss, an assortment of cells was busy until an impulse of spiritual energy hit them. They suddenly stopped working, the myoceptors stopped their work and no acetylcholine was able to do their job, as a result, the Protoss lost consciousness and slumped to the ground. Luckily avoiding the nut lying near its head. The impulse itself attracted various metals and minerals from the cave and caused them to reduce themselves down to their atomic components.
Neodymium, Zinc, Tin, Aluminum, Cobalt, Tantalum, Palladium, Platinum, Gold and various other components, including spiritual and elemental energy, were attracted to build what should be known and called:
A quantum computer in a miniature format!
Slowly those components meet and under the influence of the spiritual energy they contract near the Protoss's brain stem where they slowly begin to form circuit boards and other components necessary for the realization of an integrated system.
After almost 3 hours of processing minerals and the use of energy, a finished product of a small quantum computer is built and integrated into the brain stem. Slowly energy gathers towards the Protoss's body and integrates into the nervous system to finish the last calibrations for the system.
But is it finished?

Well seems like getting knocked out will be my trademark skill from now on. I'm sure it will be useful. It has to be...
(Enough of that I should check my system)
While thinking so I send a spiritual impulse towards the electronic chip/computer in my brain. Upon doing so a "Please Wait" appeared in my view and after 2 seconds became transparent.
While waiting I proceeded to check my surroundings for a second time, now in a lying position.
While noticing the crack in the cave's ceiling I turn my head towards the left and notice the squirrel creature seemingly sleeping next to me, pressing its head onto my cheek.
(Why is it so calm next to me? Am I attractive for animals? I don't think so. My memories indicate that animals are rather scared and apprehensive towards humans and similar races. An exception seems to be large predators. Then why is it so...tame?)
While pondering about the behavior of the squirrel a letter shaped Icon appeared in my vision.
I willed it to open and I received what seems to be an introductory letter to the system.
I read the letter and apparently, my system is finished and the memories are sorted, processed as well as integrated into my HUD.
But my artificial intelligence seems to be lacking. The last paragraph describes how my mental capabilities are not yet ready to support an AI that would be capable of operating a quantum computer, albeit being a miniature one, and my options are to either wait or bind another being's soul to the chip by purging it of, well, basically everything that defines its existence so the system can imprint its command or binary codes onto it.
The system furthermore seems to be restricted in the information it can give me. I hoped that the system would be able to enable me to access all memories but it seems like this sealing method is devised by the first Protoss and encompasses everything that comes into contact with those memories.
(Since this did not work I need to find an animal I can use but despite this, I should be able to use the system manually)
Once again willing myself to open the system I am greeted by a menu as well as a picture of myself in the view of my right eye.
(So the menu is divided into myself and what seems to be an overview of my possessions sorted under an inventory, as well as a menu with a combat, social and specialized section)
Checking the combat section I notice that it is divided into Full Body Training, Fist, and Leg Techniques, as well as a spiritual section.
The social section is divided into friends and allies, as well as enemies and neutrals.
(I have to check those later these are huge)
The specialized section is made up of different kinds of jobs and everything that is random and cannot be sorted into the other two categories. Something called Kamasutra is also here?
(Well now I have to get this investigation of my surroundings finished)
