"Haha, what are you talking about, first come first serve," Lachlan laughed as he joked around. Lachlan already knew Simon was going to be the one most furious about him going after the intelligent beasts, that's just who he was after all.

"Did you at least win," Simon mocked angrily as he looked towards Catastrophe. Catastrophe had the most serious wounds, granted they would eventually heal thanks to Catastropohe's high vitality.

Lachlan decided not to give his birds the vitality banana, as they were a one use item they should be treated as a final resort. And since the three Rocs had high vitality Lachlan believes they would heal, especially if they go back to the island and use its resources.

"Of course, it was actually quite enjoyable too," Lachlan replied happily as he saw Simon pouting in anger. "Anyway, let's go back now, I already have the samples needed."

Lachlan hopped onto Calamity and unsummoned the rest of them before shooting off. Simon quickly followed, hopping onto storm.

...

A few days past in the blink of an eye. Lachlan was inside Anne's lab waiting for the new results. This would determine whether or not they could really use the results they got from the hybrids. Lachlan's fists were clenched tightly, hoping they could.

Anne walked over to him, "Alright, the results have been finalised and I'll just say it right now, things are looking good."

Lachlan almost felt like jumping up and cheering, but he calmed down his nerves and walked to the computer screen. Chloe and Flynn were with them as amongst the group they were probably the most worried.

Anne didn't wait for the three to analyse the screen since they might not understand it, "Okay, so the one major difference is how the blood mutated. For the mutated children, they mutated because it's as though some of their genes have been replaced. As for the intelligent beast, it's as though a few human genes have mixed with them, however, instead of changing the beasts' physical appearance the genes focus primarily on the brain. It's difficult to explain, but they are different."

"So we can use the data that we've collected?" Lachlan asked as he struggled to hold back his excitement.

"Well, there is one of the samples that stuck out amongst them all. As it's as though the human genes underwent a full mutation, making them much stronger," Anne explained as she brought up the sample.

Lachlan knew that it was the sample from Athena. He wasn't surprised though, as Athena was basically a human with just a lot more physical strength. Although she couldn't talk, if she could Lachlan wouldn't be surprised if she could infiltrate major cities without any suspicion.

"Does that change anything?" Lachlan asked with a concerned tone. If Athena's sample was the thing that screwed this whole thing up he would be furious.

"Of course not, fortunately, it's still a different mutation from the mutated children meaning the results are still useful," Anne explained.

The three had a sigh of relief, they were really on the edge of their seats.

"So now we have to figure out a way to spread the information," Flynn said as he leaned back and scratched his head. Chloe and Lachlan also went into thinking mode, they never really thought this far ahead since they didn't think they would be able to get results so soon.

"I have a way granted it's not very legal," Anne suddenly said.

All three heads snapped to her direction, "How?"

"Well I have this device that can hack into the internet and spread information anonymously, it was something I use for some of my own research if it was ever controversial," Anne said with a slightly red face.

"That's a great invention, where is it?" Flynn asked.

Anne turned around and walked over to a bunch of drawers, all of which had locks on them. The squatted down and unlocked one of the bottom ones, opening it up and taking out a fairly small device that was shaped similar to a credit card reader. A lot of wires were dangling underneath it, only one of which that looked like a power plug.

"This is the device, it's really simple to use," Anne said as she came over to them. "I just need to download all the data that you want to use, you just need to plug this into something that's able to connect to the internet."

She grabbed onto all the cords dangling beneath it, "I have just about every cord needed, you just need to find the device. And yes, the phones can be used as long as you get them connected to the internet."

The three felt ecstatic as they heard that, Chloe quickly took the device out of Anne's hands and looked closer at it. She looked at the cords and found one that perfectly fit their phones, now they just needed the internet.

"Oh yeah, I will just say that this island is more unique then I thought," Anne suddenly said.

"What do you mean by that?" Lachlan asked. He knew the island was unique, extremely unique at that. He didn't understand what Anne meant.

"Well for one, this island isn't actually connected to the ground, it just seems to float on top of the water, but due to its massive amount of mass it doesn't move around," Anne explained.

"And how do you know this?" Flynn asked. It wasn't like the water was safe grounds, it was filled with dangerous creatures, some of which that will attack the moment they notice you.

"Through that," Anne said as she pointed towards a small drone shaped device on the bench.

"And that is?" Flynn asked as he walked over to it and picked it up. He was surprised by the actual weight of the thing, it was probably 10 kilograms, yet it fits in the palm of Flynn's hand. Of course, the propellers were each the size of Flynn's hand and there were 4 of them.

"It's a drone obviously, a really high-grade one at that, although it only has a camera it's rather durable," Anne explained. "Unfortunately, I had lost an even better one while I checked out the waters."

"Beast?" Lachlan asked curiously.

"No, gravity," Anne replied. That was all that was need to make them understand. Although they were still slightly confused since the actual water wasn't heavily affected by the gravity, only the ground.

"I suppose it'll be better to show the videos that I got, it even surprised me which is why I hadn't told any of you yet since I don't really know how to explained it properly," Anne said. She then walked over to the computer, tapped on a few keys and an image came up.

Although it was slightly difficult to see due to the low visibility, fortunately, the drone that was being used had a light attached to it.

Anne started the video and they watched the drone move around. Before it finally stumbled across what Anne was talking about, a massive gap between the island and the ground. It looked oddly mystical, but what they saw next made them realise why Anne lost the drone.

They saw the drone move into the gap and it was quickly brought upwards towards the island. It was there that it began to get crushed against the island before the footage finally cut.

"That's what I mean," Anne said as she closed the video. "It seems the thing that's actually causing the island's gravity to be so unique is in the centre of the island."

"So it's beneath the tree," Lachlan said. He thought about it and knew where the centre was, it was the world tree. Of course, this made the island much more unique. Since not only did it have something that controls the gravity, it also has something that heavily affects life, the world tree.

This island had two things that heavily affect the world. Granted, the gravity didn't affect the world too much, but if someone bad got it then it would definitely put the world in danger.

"Indeed, although I would just like the clarify that actually getting to the thing that's cause these gravitational changes would be a lot more difficult to get to than you think," Anne said.

"How's that?" Flynn asked. They just needed to cut into the tree. Although it would take a long time they should be able to go faster if they increase their strength.

"Well, the closer you are to the source of the gravity the strong it is. That's especially true for being underground," Anne explained.

All of them understood that. Since the cave had a much greater change in gravity compared to outside.

"Alright, how about we deal with that later and just focus on spread the data for now. It shouldn't take long to spread the data anyway," Lachlan said. He just wanted to spread the information first, since it solved their whole problem. The island's gravity can come after.
