「I think it’s about time.」
In the sky, the sun sank and it started to become dark.
The Order gathered in front of the gate.
After confirming our numbers, Leader says,
「Okay! Everyone’s here. We will go out the gate but remember that this is the border. The monsters you usually encounter will be stronger. Be careful! And if you see a monster that seems like the leader, report it. Well, let’s go!」
Outside of the gate seemed to be the town’s soldiers. There seemed to have already been many battles that had taken place.
「We will defeat the monsters around us and try to find the leader!」
Although that was said, we were blocked from all sides by monsters.

The Order’s members were having a close fight with the stronger-than-normal monsters.
It’s been about an hour. In the beginning, Lint Bloom Kishidan was having a close fight, but now they were gaining momentum and started defeating the monsters.
Of course I was being protected by everyone and defeating the occasional orc.
Everyone thought that they were finally making progress and suddenly,
「GUOHHHHH!!」
「Wh- what!?」
「Leader!!」
「What happened!」
「I- it’s a chimera (キメラ)!!」
「A chimera!?」
A monster called a chimera appeared in front of us.
It was a monster with a lion head, a goat body, and a poisonous snake as a tail.
It was about 7 or 8 meters in length, so one attack would tear up the ground.
「Th- this is too much..」
The Lint Bloom Order who was reveled as the strongest could not even make a scratch onto the chimera’s tough body.
Leader shouted,
「Magic! What about magic!」
「No good! No type of magic seems to be effective!」
The town’s soldiers that saw the chimera immediately ran away.

「Shit! Don’t we have anything up our sleeves?!」
「Can you eat a chimera?」
「Impossible! You can’t eat that!」
I’m powerless in front of an inedible monster.
I tried to think of something.
「Silver vine… don’t we have silver vine?!」
「Silver vine, huh… the head is a lion so it’s sort of a cat, but it’s not necessarily going to work!」
「Even so, we gotta try!」
We could only see annihilation at this point.
If there’s even a chance, let’s try.
「Leader! I’m going!」
「If you think it won’t work, immediately run away! Hey! You guys! Support Kio!」
「「Yes, sir!」」
I came close to the chimera while gripping the silver vine tightly.
「GUOHHHH!」
「OH! It’s sniffing it!」
「GUOHH!?」
「GUOH, GUOH, GUOH.」
「Wh- What is this?」
「The chimera suddenly started rolling around!」
「GUOON.」
What the heck. The chimera started rubbing up my face.
Now it’s licking.
「Hey, hey, what the hell is going on, Kio?」
「I used the silver vine… but I’m being hugged.」
「What are you saying? Won’t this effect last only a little while?」
「Yes, that seems right. Then, please wait about 30 minutes. If the effect stops, I’ll confirm it. If it’s no good, then I’ll use the silver vine again.」

「This is silver vine.」
「Silver vine? So there’s something like that in this world…」
He lived a long time, so I don’t really get what he’s saying.
「By the way, are you going to kill me, Chimera-san?」
「I see, do not worry. I don’t feel like that right now. By the way, do you have more? The silver vine, I mean.」
「Etto, right now I don’t have any, but if I go back to town, I can get silver vine sake?」
「Silver vine sake?! I would very much like to try that.」

I explained the situation to Leader and quickly went back to the town.

The way he licked it seemed just like a cat.
