Sounds of clashing metal and magic were heard throughout the area. Earthquakes, tornados, fire balls and storms were much more seen amidst the clashing forces.

Many have fallen, but many were still fighting on what they believed in.

The King was watching everything from the back, his clothes all torn and tattered from that last attack by the bitch's dragon. He was commanding his remaining generals to hold off the onslaught of their enemies.

They were winning, so it seems. He has still some knights at his back as reinforcements. But the bitch's team had none. This was all they got. He only thought of tiring them and then at night, he will attack them.

The King had such an evil smile on his face that Denaire couldn't help but shudder in fear. He knew the King was planning something, that this is not the last of them. But she was so tired; she didn't know what to do. Fatigue bore down on her that she couldn't even focus on the knights fighting below her.

"Denaire!" she heard someone call her.

She tried to open her eyes to look for who was calling her, but she failed, miserably.

She communicated to Zilong, "Zilong, take me nearer to that somenone calling me."

The dragon answered perplexed, "But master, he's beside you already."

She grasped for something on her left then her right. There she felt a hard thing. She held onto it and said, "What-who?"

"Denaire, it's me, Hiro."

Denaire sighed, feeling safe once again. "Hiro – "

"Sssshh. Rest my dear. I will let Zilong take you to the camp to rest and recuperate. I have instructed someone to tell the healers back there to cater to you."

Denaire hugged him tight. "Thank you Hiro. Thank you so much."

Hiro kissed the girl's forehead. "Everything for you, my love. Now go, rest. I'll handle everything from here."

Denaire released him from the hug and smiled at him, her eyes opening now and her only focus is on Hiro's face. Hiro held Denaire's face with both his hands and kissed the girl passionately. Denaire raised her hands and wrapped them around Hiro's neck, feeling everything Hiro has been feeling at the moment – fear, anxiety, resolve, care, and love. She savored everything and felt very happy and grateful.

They broke off the kiss and touched their foreheads.

Denaire spoke softly, "Take care."

"I will," Hiro answered. "Go. I love you."

"I love you too."

Hiro jumped off Zilong's back and ran towards the frontlines. Denaire silently prayed and commanded Zilong to fly back to the camp.

Hiro led the knights fighting at the frontlines. He made sure to push back their enemies.

He was an unstoppable force down there. No one could compare to him. Every knight who would duel with him all fell down. But even if he was fighting seriously there, his sights were aimed to the man he trusted as the rightful leader of Exosha before. The man he was hell-bent to destroy for what he did to his beloved.

He looked at him with so much contempt. His aim was to kill him. And to kill him would be his one and only wish in this world.

And so he continued to fight, sent every knight falling and burned to a crisp. He was using his fire and his sword to kill, and kill, and kill.

A hand then held his shoulders, it was Emong.

He retreated back and let his knights take charge for the meantime.

"What is it?"

"The King's forces – they are retreating."

"What?" Hiro exclaimed in confusion. He looked again at the front. And true enough, only a handful of them are fighting. The ones at the back of the formation began to retreat.

Hiro looked back at Emong, "There is something fishy going on here."

Emong nodded, agreeing to the general in a heartbeat. "Denaire has also voiced this out earlier. We have to watch out. The King is probably planning something."

Hiro looked at the King. He knew right then that the King has concocted some plans – a dangerous one. He felt it down to his very bones. The smile the King was having at that moment was engraved in Hiro's memory. It was his smile of an impending victory.

Hiro called to all the troops of the uprising, "Fall back! Fall back! Do not engage them. Fall back!"

Yes, there was no need to engage them for they all retreated inside their shield-enforced camp. They would have to wait and see what they planned.

And they have to be ready of the King's plans.

"Go back to the camp! Let the healers heal your wounds. Recover efficiently."

As soon as the troops started walking back, the other generals approached Hiro and asked, "What is the King thinking?"
