Early the next morning, Carl woke up feeling energized.

By this time the previous day, if you had told him he would be getting married today, he would have laughed scornfully.

Now, he was actually getting married to the woman he loves and she loves him too…

He's not really sure on that aspect, but she said so herself. Before now, she had never claimed to love him.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.

It was a step forward, wasn't it?

Actually, it was meant to be a test, to prove she didn't love him. He did not expect her to accept.

Since they are yet to go to the Bureau, she still has time to change her mind.

If indeed she went along with it, then excellent. He would have right over her, a legal right. She was his. And he would start by rubbing that on Sean's face.

When he thought about Sean, he couldn't help but clench his fist. He really wanted to beat him up for kissing his wife.

How dare he?!

Carl furiously brushed his teeth, directly his anger at Sean, forgetting that if "his wife" didn't let him, he probably wouldn't have been able to.

After brushing, he took a shower, still cursing Sean in his heart.

He really couldn't wait to show up in front of her friends and be all touchy, making them uncomfortable until they ask about their relationship. Then he would kiss her and ask what was wrong with touching his own wife?

He had an evil grin plastered on his face as he dressed up.

Then he went to the kitchen to make breakfast, still painting different scenarios of how he would rub his relationship on Sean's face, including Chamberlain.

Soon, Kim joined him on the table.

"Good morning."

He nodded in acknowledgement then set a plate in front of her.

"Why are you still in your pyjamas? We agreed we would go first thing this morning."

"It's just a little over 7. I'm pretty sure they don't open so early. What's the rush?"

"How about we move this thing to the weekend, I still have school."

"You should just say you don't want to."

"Fine! I'll skip school but only for today and you have to call in sick."

"Sure."

...

"Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Blackwood!"

Those words were enough to freeze Carl.

This is real. It actually happened… She married me! Wait! She loves me!

He stared at the certificate for a long time, seeing both their names on it felt surreal.

He broke into a small smile, subsequently, he began laughing.

"In your face, Sean!" He kept repeating in his head.

All he wanted to do was take the certificate with him to work and shove it in Chamberlain's face and then take Kim to school, then he would use the certificate to slap someone's face, literally.

No, he couldn't do that, what if it gets torn. He would have to stick to his original plan and kiss her in their presence, then when they start accusing them of incest, he would proudly ask, can't a man kiss his wife?

These thoughts made Carl almost want to do a dance.

She might have kissed that stupid Sean yesterday but today she was his. He had exclusive rights to her.

While Carl continued his internal monologue, Kim was also feeling surreal. After signing the documents in the presence of two witnesses she didn't actually know— turns out the twins are his subordinates.

She walked out of the office daydreaming. She didn't feel any different than when she walked in but at the same time she felt different.

She was officially Mrs. Blackwood.

She did not expect she would get married early. She wasn't even twenty and she was someone's wife.

Though she was a hopeless romantic, she never thought she would be getting married someday.

The idea of a relationship, of family was vague to her. Just an idea, a distant one at that.

She was glad to see other couples but she never thought she would love somebody or someone would dare to love her.

At that moment she was overwhelmed. She also paused not daring to go any further.

Carl noticed her reaction, he signaled for Allan and his brother to leave.

"Are you regretting?" He asked holding her hands. Then he added, "It's too late for that, you can no longer leave me."

Kim shook her head, "I'm not. It feels… unreal. I can't believe we are actually married but we are."

He nodded in understanding. Since he wasn't expecting her to agree to it, he did not dare to think about what next if she did.

"I'm sorry for marrying you this way, I'll make it better."

"You don't need to apologise, it's better this way, it's not like we can have a grand wedding when we don't have a family or friends… I mean, you do have Ryan and I have just two friends.. Sorry, I'm rambling, what I mean is that…"

He cut her off, "I understand. Then we should make more friends. I might have someone who falls into that category but he's a nutcase."

Recalling Chamberlain he chuckled. Now he also had a wife to show off.

"Making friends isn't easy, I do have friends but are they really my friends? They are at most the acquaintances I frequently speak to."

She was what you consider a fake friend. She didn't ask about them and then she kept to herself. Not as open as close friends.

"Would you like to go on a date with me?"

The sudden question shook her. They just got married, now they were dating? Usually, in the process, dating came before marriage but it appears she would have to go the other way round.

She smiled warmly, "I'd love to."
