Carl was working in the company as usual, unaware of the fact that he was being investigated. He lived his life dully. Apart from Kim and the two brothers that worked for him, he only spoke to his colleagues when needed. He was really quiet and alone. He mostly ate out too. Weekly, he received information from his spies in different states so he was abreast with everything apart from the fact that he was being investigated. He knew about his family in the capital, Ryan's hospitalization and the fact that Ryan stayed with his grandparents. Since Ryan didn't inform him, he didn't feel the need to ask so he let him be.

Glass Security was doing well too under the leadership of Allen and Jasper. He didn't have to worry about it. He only met them occasionally for meetings on how to move the company forward. And Allan was doing a good job with the hotels too, he could work on his own without directions from Carl so he was satisfied with Allan. Carl was living quite a relaxed life he began to question the need to return to the capital. He had even forgotten about the so called revenge, he just wanted to grow himself and support Kim.

A few floors above his office was the CEO's office. Within the office was sitted Chamberlain and both Ben and Jameson standing. His office was also spacious, the only difference between his study and his office was the top-to-floor glass windows so it was a lot brighter. There was just one shelf too. So the number of books was not as much as his study.

Jameson had already placed the report on Carl on the desk. Chamberlain had seen everything on the report. He wasn't convinced that Carl was just ordinary. From the report, Carl had never met the second madam of the Blackwood family, they had no relation whatseoever, so how did he anger her? There was nothing about him before the twelveth of March when he appeared in the city. He worked at the carwash and then the company. He was reserved without friends. He didn't attend company dinners and he was close to only Kim.

Since he wasn't problematic and he was also good at his job, Chamberlain didn't think he was someone to be weary of but still he was too suspicious so he asked Jameson to only observe him and do nothing.

The reason they couldn't find anything was because his name was fake and even as a member of the Blackwood family, he did not show himself much. He was always at home or at work, except it was a really important function. Also, Allan was the face of Glass and there was nothing linking both of them.

It was now December, first semester was already over and Kim was done with her exams. She was glad how the smooth everything was and she only hoped things would continue like this. Carl who had not spoken to Ryan for months decided to call him. He hadn't spoken to him for a long time and he felt bad. He realized he should have called earlier but he wasn't sure what to say to his brother.

He picked up his phone and dialed the number, on the third ring, Ryan picked up. "Brother!" Ryan said almost screaming in delight. Carl smiled, now he missed his brother. "How are you?" Carl said in a monotonous voice. He was also excited but his voice remained the same, you'd think he was stern and only calling to fulfill pleasantries if you didn't see his face. Ryan was someone who grew up with him, so he understood his brother better. "I'm fine, what about you?" Ryan asked, his voice still cheery.

"I'm fine too. How's school?" Maintaining his voice, Carl asked another question. "School is fine." Ryan said simply. Nodding his head, Carl asked, "Home?" Ryan tensed when he heard the question, he had a sad smile on his face when he replied, "As always."

"I see." Carl said, lowering his eyes. Ryan did not want their conversation to turn gloomy so he changed the question. "Brother, I didn't want to disturb you before as you hadn't settled down but it's been a long time, can I visit you?" Ryan asked eagerly. Sensing his anticipation Carl chuckled, "You can."

"Really? Can I over now? Can I spend Christmas with you?" Ryan threw questions at him, showing how eager he was to spend time with him. "You can come whenever you want, but I live with someone so I don't think you can spend Christmas with me." Carl said simply.

"Oh..." Ryan's voice dropped, he couldn't hide the disappointment he felt. Then his eyes brightened as he had an idea. "Let's spend Christmas together, I'll book a hotel. Then we can go out together." Carl wanted to spend Christmas with Kim but he didn't want to disappoint Ryan so he could only agree. "Don't bother about booking a hotel, I'll do it. When you get to the airport call me, I'll come pick you up." Carl said.

"Ok. I'll pack my things now." Ryan said, hanging up. He was too excited he just packed his things, dumped them in his box, without telling his grandparents, he left the house.

Kim was not at home as she went back to Madam George's restaurant to work. Carl immediately called her and informed her his brother was coming to stay with him for Christmas and he would introduce them.
