Jayne was jolted awake. She was panting heavily. She didn't know who was this grandmother constantly coming in her dreams. She thought, 'Whenever this grandma appears in my dream, she gives me a sense of confidence and positivity, that I'm going in the right direction. Could she be my actual grandma guiding like my guardian angel?' she'd no answers.
By then Ronnie came to Jayne with a plate consisting of bowls of lunch.
Today's dish was a little special probably because of Da Nuru's arrival and since the wedding celebrations were to begin. It consisted of a meat dish dipped in a thin sauce made from the best spices. The food smelled great. It tickled Jayne's nose buds and her thoughts got diverted. She started salivating. She excitedly brushed her arms together and sat up cross-legged on the bamboo cot.
Ronnie saw her getting excited like a kid. His eyes gleamed with warmness. He giggled and placed the food plate in front of her on the bamboo cot. He then sat opposite to her in the same cross-legged manner.
They both began eating. Except for the sounds of "mmm, it tastes great!," there was no other sound. They happily ate the lunch and let out a silent burp.
Then Aunty Mo herself came to their house with a bowl of sweet dessert made out of curd. Jayne then thanked her for the wonderful dish.Later Aunty Mo took their plates and left.
Jayne drank the medicine. She started to feel drowsy after the heavy lunch followed by the medicine.
She was now sitting next to Ronnie. She then leaned on his shoulder and slept off. Ronnie didn't realise that she was asleep until he saw her breathing evenly.
Then he rubbed her back lovingly. She adjusted her position to make herself comfortable and unknowingly hugged his waist . Ronnie literally got goosebumps.
It was still afternoon and Jayne showed no signs of waking up. So Ronnie too leaned against the wall and sat both of them comfortably without waking her up.
After a while, he realised that she would end up with a body pain if she slept like this. Hence he made he to lie on the cot. But Jayne was hugging to Ronnie never wanting to let go. Ronnie couldn't help but lie next to her and allowed her to continue to hug her.
Jayne smiled in her dream.
Seeing that Ronnie thanked the stars for saving her life and majorly getting her to him. "You are the greatest thing which ever happened to me in my life Jayne. I'll never ever lose you, no matter what."
Since it was just afternoon yet he didn't feel like sleeping but quietly enjoyed the warmth of their bodies hugging each other. He caressed her long hair and gently rubbed her back. Since he'd never held a women like this before in his life, it was a new experience to him. His eyes glowed with love, contentment and happiness.
Slowly the sun was going down which gradually became thinner, received and transmitted the rays of the evening sun in the dimly lit hut, and were lighted up with a golden and crimson radiance, glorious to behold, and increasing every moment of their closeness in splendor.
