As they walked in the woods, Ronnie playfully was twirling the long twig of a fallen branch of a tree adorned with flowers into a circle. It more so looked like a flower crown. The smell of the fresh, undisturbed flowers was mesmerising. He now placed that crown atop Jayne's head and playfully said, "Jayne, be my Queen? I know this isn't fancy at all."

Jayne looked all impressed and serious by his sudden cute expression of love and declared, "Ronnie the fact that I'm alive here standing in front of you is the biggest gift ever. I will stand by you at all times. Till the last breath of my life. You are my Prince Charming, Knight in shining armour, my King." She truthfully answered him. Her face had turned deep red by the end of it.

Ronnie who was playful till now turned serious on hearing her confession. He cupped her face and leaned closer. "Jayne, may I.." He stopped for a moment and continued. "Jayne, may I, may I kiss you?"

Jayne didn't answer. Ronnie didn't wait for her to answer either. His one hand gently moved behind her neck and he pressed his lips against hers. Using his other hand, he wrapped her waist and pulled her closer to him. They closed their eyes and melted as their whole bodies were consumed in that first kiss.

Ronnie's tongue stopped at the entrance of her mouth quitely asking for her permission. When she opened her mouth in return, he slipped his tongue inside her and explored every corner of her mouth.

Jayne felt his lips warmer and softer than anything ever yet devouring and powerful at the same time. His urgency and passion made her respond hungrily. She wrapped her arms around his neck and tightened her hold on him as chills ran down her entire body and an unknown fire burned inside her.

As the kissing got deeper, her hands which was around his neck moved up and she now wound her hands into his thick, dark locks, just the way she wanted to do since the first time she'd seen him. She pulled him even more closer now thus giving better access.

Her heart was racing wild, and there was a rushing sound in her ears. She felt like all the  pent-up longings deep down her heart resurfaced now. She felt like she had suppressed them all for too long. Though she didn't know what it really was, their kiss was more of a liberating experience for her. She felt more alive and transformed now.

They finally let go when they could no longer continue since they weren't breathing at all. They were panting heavily like they'd run a marathon.

Jayne felt her lips with her fingers and blushed heavily. She couldn't look at Ronnie. She wanted to run away from him.

Ronnie giggled and intertwined his hands with her and walked back to the hamlet slowly. Her face was still red as beetroot.

On reaching the hamlet, Da Nuru asked, "Sister Jayne is everything alright? Do you feel sick? Why is your face so red?"

Jayne,"..."

Ronnie, "Answer him wifey. Why are you hesitating?" He mocked at her.

Jayne glared at him. "It's all your fault." She huffed and left embarrassed.
