As the Major and Ronnie walked out, Ronnie saw that Jayne was sitting on a bench and talking animatedly to Da Nuru. Ronnie could see her crystal clear eyes glittering like stars in the darkness of the night. The moonlight from above accentuated the beautiful glow on her face especially the nose ring which would never miss his attention.

Jayne could feel someone's gaze on her. She casually turned towards her right and found Ronnie walking towards her. Their eyes met for a brief second which was enough to wake up all the sleeping butterflies in her tummy. To prevent herself from flustering, she shifted her gaze towards the officer walking next to him. Since they were walking towards them all the three of them stood up.

Ronnie introduced her to the General, "Jayne this is General Abey Chopra. Right now he's in charge of monitoring the flood situation here. He's going to help us. As of now, let's get you checked at the medical camp here."

Jayne smiled at the General with a namaste.

The General too greeted with a namaste and said, "Ma'am indeed you are very lucky since Sir found you or else we're yet to ascertain the number of missing cases and deaths that have occurred here from when the flood began."

Hearing which Jayne's face turned pale. Yet she managed to answer him. "Yes General I'm very lucky to have found him. Since I don't even remember anything of my past, I can't imagine what would have happened if I hadn't found him." She was shaking now.

Ronnie sensed her nervousness. So he walked up to her. Then, he naturally wrapped his arm around her shoulder and comforted her. "Hey it's okay. I'm here now. Nothing is going to happen to you. I'm not going to let anything happen to you."

Jayne raised her head to look at the man beside her. His face looked calm; his dark brown eyes peered at her. Suddenly she felt touched. Perhaps  the serene environment and his strong and powerful embrace, her heart was slowly brimming with even more love and gratitude for him.

She felt warm and unafraid after listening to him. She simply nodded her head.

Then all of them walked towards the medical camp.

The medical camp was just a makeshift one to treat minor injuries and provide first aid to the people hurt during the floods. It didn't have any other facilities.

The General first went inside and spoke to the doctor before letting Jayne inside. Jayne later walked inside.

The doctor asked her. "Ma'am how are you feeling?"

Jayne answered. "I'm feeling better doctor. The pain in my head is slowly subsiding. My body doesn't hurt anymore. I'm feeling very tired today probably because of the long journey."

The doctor said, "That sounds good ma'am. Your wounds are actually healing. Well, please lie down on the bed here. Let me examine once."

Jayne suddenly interrupted the doctor and said, "Doctor, I don't remember anything that about me or my life that happened before my fall." She looked at the doctor worried.

The doctor comforted her saying, "Ma'am today there are plenty of medicines available. So your treatment won't be that a problem. But it requires a lot of patience along with time in order for the medicines to work. A Specialist Neurologist would guide you further on this when you get back since we neither have the expertise nor equipments to deal your case. For now, let me do a physical examination of your wounds. Please lie down on the bed." She had a professional smile on her face.

Jayne nodded and obeyed the doctor's orders and lied down on the bed. The doctor then removed the cloth strip tied as a bandage. She disinfected the wound applied new medicines and finally did the dressing.

Later Jayne got up from the bed and sat on a chair opposite the doctor

The doctor then called Ronnie inside to explain her situation. "Sir I've changed the dressing. I've disinfected the wounded area. There's nothing to worry about. But until you go back for further treatment, let me prescribe these tablets and ointments. As for her amnesia, since we are not well-equipped here, I suggest you continue further treatment with a Specialist."

Ronnie thanked the doctor and they both walked out of the medical camp.
