Jayne and Ronnie arrived at the Heathrow International Airport. It was already dark outside when they had landed. Hence the airport was glittering in the lights of the night.
Daniel who was waiting for his boss to come saw him coming out. His handsome boss was beyond recognition now. His tired, untidy looks dressed so informally wearing a mere t-shirt jeans made him wonder what happened which made the top diplomat of his country like this.
He also saw a woman walking next to him. Her head was bandaged and she too wore simple clothes. She was tall, fair, simple but elegant. Even without any makeup she emanated a charm which was making her stand out among all the others. Her nose ring was glittering under the night lights.
Daniel sprinted towards them, "Boss! Madam!" he gushed.
Ronnie nodded and asked, "Dan is everything ready?" his authoritative aura could be seen now.
"Yes boss! Everything has been prepared. We'll be leaving to your Mansion right now. I've asked the maids to keep everything ready." Daniel answered him.
Jayne was momentarily taken aback to see his cold, demeanour attitude. So she didn't even respond to Daniel's greetings. She frowned and took a step back in hesitation. Later, she even stopped walking, 'Is he the same Ronnie who was with me all this while?' she thought to herself while she lifted her eyebrows and looked at him in a questioning gaze.
Ronnie sensed that she wasn't walking with him. He turned back to her with a warm and affectionate gaze. The cold look he had over a minute ago with his assistant was all gone when it came to her. He worriedly asked her, "What's wrong? Why aren't you coming?" he walked back to her and put an arm around her.
Jayne snapped out of her thoughts and then reassured him, "Nothing, let's go." She gave a half-smile.
Daniel stopped in his tracks and froze when he saw his boss being so affectionate with a woman. He shook his head in disbelief. His eyes was about to pop out of his socket.
Then they started walking hand in hand towards Daniel who was still rooted to his spot. He too immediately snapped out of his shock, ' I don't know what happened between you guys but for all these years I've been with my boss, this is the first time I saw him being so affectionate with a woman. Mmm, so finally she's here. Needless to say, she's my future lady boss. ' He thought inwardly and walked faster to catch with his Boss and Lady Boss.
They left from the exclusive terminal meant for diplomats. As soon as they walked out, they saw a black limousine waiting for them.
Daniel opened the door for them to get in. Ronnie asked Jayne to get in first. She obeyed and got in. Ronnie got in after her. Daniel duly closed the door and got into the front passenger seat.
In the car, nobody was talking. The silence along with everything that was happening around her left Jayne speechless. From when she woke up till now, she'd been in a modest environment with basic minimal needs. Firstly in the tribal hamlet followed by the relief camp. The sudden extravagant, luxurious life left her overwhelmed though she was aware of the fact that he's a top diplomat. She still needed time to process all this.
