Ronnie was the first to react. He stuttered, "S-S-Sorry" and lowered his head and closed the door behind him and rested his back against the door. He was so breathless like as if he'd run a marathon.
Jayne immediately ran towards the door and locked it. She too was out of breath. She too rested against her side of the door.
Both of them were resting on either side of the door with hitched breathing. Their heartbeats were so loud that their heart would leap out of their chest. Both of their skins were burning. An unknown desire enveloped both of them.
Jayne couldn't help but cover her face with embarrassment, 'Oh God! How will I show my face to him again.'
Ronnie on the other side, 'I guess I need to get a cold shower.' He ran towards his room after that.
After some time, Jayne regained her composure and walked back to the wardrobe and picked up a purple turtleneck sweater from the clothes and teamed it up with a white denim. She then wore knee length boots to keep herself warm. Next she wore lacy gloves and combed her long hair and tied all of it into a messy bun. She couldn't do any other styles since she still had the bandage over her head. She looked like a young college girl.
Ronnie and Jayne came out together at the same time. Ronnie looked at the all new Jayne walking towards him. Her dressing emanated an elegant and powerful aura which she herself didn't know. Due to the previous awkwardness between them, he asked in a low voice, "How did you like your new wardrobe?"
Jayne didn't look at him in the eye but she managed to answer, " Ronnie you didn't have to do so much for me. I'm forever indebted to you for everything that you are doing to me."
Ronnie stopped walking and took her hand and propped her chin upwards to look at him, "Jayne, can't I even do so much for my wife?"
A flush crept up Jayne's face. Ronnie was very happy to see her reaction he said, "Let's go eat first," and pulled her along the stairs to the dining area.
The butler came out and began serving them with orange juice. He followed it up with a full English breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, sausage patties, fried bacons, potato waffles. The dishes were accompanied by grilled tomatoes, fried onions, toast and marmalade. Finally the butler brought both coffee and tea for Ronnie and Jayne.
By the end of breakfast, the awkwardness between Jayne and Ronnie was totally gone. Ronnie suggested," Jayne, I thought for today first lets go the doctor and get your wounds checked up. I've already asked my Assistant to arrange for everything."
Jayne agreed. Ronnie called the butler and said, "Prepare the car."
"Yes Sir!" The butler followed his orders.
Dr. Henry Thomas was a famous Neurosurgeon in London. He was a man in his forties. He lived in the same neighbourhood of Kensington with Ronnie. Kensington was one of the high class living areas of London. The doctor had both the knowledge and experience in medical field. He was a trusted friend of Richard Roy, that is Ronnie's father. Also Ronnie would take Dr. Thomas's help even for his work related matters. Therefore he decided to take Jayne to him.
Ronnie's Assistant Daniel West came to pick Jayne and Ronnie. They all arrived at Dr Henry Thomas's residence. Since Ronnie would visit him since his childhood, Dr Thomas would always show his love and affection towards him. This time too Dr Thomas was excited to see Ronnie.
"Hello Ronnie. Long time no see." The doctor greeted the Herculean man in front of him, his face beaming with affection.
"Hello Uncle Henry! How have you been? I haven't met you for a long time. Sorry about that." Ronnie answered him with the same affection.
"Uncle this is Jayne." he introduced Jayne to the doctor.
