That night Mrs Caroline Roy and Jayne were dressed up well as hosts to the party while their respective partners complemented their dress with theirs.

All four of them headed downstairs to the party hall hand in hand. Jayne was walking around with Ronnie while he introduced her to all the guests present.

It was about time for midnight. So everyone headed out to the garden since a huge display of fireworks was planned. Exactly at that time, Ronnie appeared from behind Jayne and pulled her towards another door.

"Ronnie where are we going? Isn't the fireworks display happening outside? I want to see it baby. Let's go." Jayne insisted.

"Sshhh come with me. I've something better than the fireworks for you." Ronnie covered her lips and took her towards the car.

Ronnie drove for two minutes and they were near an elevated area. He then pulled his car to a stop. He said, "Come with me Jayne!"

Jayne excitedly nodded her head and said "Yes!"

They then walked up the elevated area. The winter cold night made Jayne to shiver a little though Ronnie had already kept an overcoat for her in the car and she had worn it. She snuggled closer to Ronnie. His warm hug made her feel better.

Up above they could see the lights of the city glittering amidst the dark, cold night. Their arrival timing was perfect. The clock struck twelve.

At that moment the entire city lights turned off and the whole city turned dark. "What's wrong Ron-?"

Before Jayne could complete her sentence, Jayne saw the lights appear back in a sequence. She was left speechless and totally stumped for words on what she saw before her.

It was that the words, 'I LOVE YOU' appeared in a sequence from the city lights. The entire city was adorned with the light sequence to tell how much Ronnie loves and treasures Jayne.

Ronnie looked at the woman in his arms who was looking at the appearance of the lights in awe. Her cuteness melted his heart. He leaned forward and whispered in her ears. "I love you Jayne! Happy New Year! Thanks for coming into my life and making it so bright just like how those lights illuminated the otherwise empty life of mine with your love"

Jayne didn't know how to react. Gratitude flowed through her, contentment filled her heart, happiness overtook her to such an extent that she wept with joy, "Happy New Year Ronnie. I don't even know what I should be telling. Actually it's not me, but you. You've given my otherwise empty life with everything I can ever ask over. More than anything else your love. I don't know what good deeds I'd done in my past life to have you here with me." Jayne was looking into Ronnie's eyes while telling this. It was a very sweet and a romantic moment for them.

She then shouted with joy, "I love you Ronnie Roy!" The sounds of her love echoed through Ronnie's heart. Her tears never stopped flowing down her eyes all the while.

She then tiptoed and kissed him on his lips. But it didn't stop there, they continued to kiss passionately while the scintillating display of fireworks to welcome the new year lit up the sky.

-------------------------------

The feeling of being rejected when Sanvi first confessed to the one she loved the most had caused an unbearable pain in her. She couldn't stay with Virat a minute longer. She wiped her tears and slowly freed herself from him and made him lie down on the sands. She walked away from him aimlessly.

Virat who was asleep was awoken by the sands pricking his face when Sanvi left him on the sands. He too got up and walked aimlessly. He came across an elevated area of rocks. He climbed up and sat on the rocks looking at the glowing lights amidst the darkness of the city lost in thoughts about Maya.

At that moment suddenly, the lights of the city went out. It was followed by the appearance of lights in an 'I LOVE YOU' format.

Virat was dumbstruck. "Wait! What just happened?"

He slowly remembered his conversation he had  with Maya before, "Maya, I wish I could spend the New Year with the one who loves me the most that is obviously you. I want it in such a way that, exactly when the clock strikes twelve, the nightlights of the city should switch off and it should switch on in a sequence of 'I LOVE YOU.' Romantic goals!"

Virat stood up and he felt like his legs had lost all its strength. He felt wobbly and he was in a daze, "Which means.. which means.. Maya had already planned this for me?" He began wailing out his tears out of mixed emotions.

Sanvi came back after she suddenly realised that she shouldn't have left Virat alone like that. She ran back to the place only to find Virat missing.

She shouted "Virat! Virat! Virat!" but she heard no response from him.

She scolded herself, "You are such an idiot Sanvi! Why did you leave him alone and leave? Where do I search for him now at this time?" She began panicking out of helplessness.

Just then she saw the silhouette of someone standing atop the elevated rocks. She sprinted towards the rocks and heard Virat's screams, "I love you Maya! I love you Maya! I love you Maya!"

Sanvi's heart constricted with pain. But staying with Virat right now was more important than thinking about her own feelings. She quickly climbed atop the rocks.

As soon as she saw Virat, she just ran towards him and hugged him, "It's okay Virat! Maya will definitely come back. It's okay!" She tried to console him but in vain.

At that instant here too, the display of fireworks began splattering the sky and the crowds shouting "Happy New Year" could be heard from a distance.

But neither the fireworks nor the happiness of the coming of the new year could possibly brighten their moods or affect them in any way.

"No Sanvi. It's not okay! You don't know what just happened." Virat explained everything to her.

Sanvi was dumbstruck too on listening to him.
