I easily recognized the place I was in. I'd seen it all the time on my dreams. The jagged rock pillars holding up the sky, the red stained ground, the general feeling of dread. I was in Hell. I'd been seeing it in dreams for years now, so I never really pay any attention to it anymore. "Hey demons, it's ya' boy." No answer. I sighed. I forgot about their weird language, "Khb Ghprqv, lw'v bd' erb." Still nothing. "Alright, alright, great prank guys." Nothing. Great. Suddenly, I felt something grab my shoulder. I turned around. It was a guy, a full foot taller than me, wearing a black and red suit, and a dark blue fedora. His hair was shoulder length, and such a dark shade it looked like it was just a hole cut out of reality. His eyes were red and black, like a more traditional Demon than myself. "So, I take it you're William Cypher Walker?"

"What about it?"

"Just wanted to make sure I was correct. Walk with, me." We started walking, "So, you do know this isn't a regular dream, right? I've, well, to put it simply, borrowed your soul. I'm the only one here who can see or interact with you at the moment."

"Get to the point."

"Oh, a biter I see. Well then, my name is Satan, I'm the current lord of the Demons after Dielzavod's, unfortunate, demise." He closed his eyes for a second, "So, what do you know about your father? Your biological father."

"Well, according to my parents, he was tall, well built, and well mannered. They always said I had his eyes, but my mom's face." He looked down, "Well, that is accurate. You certainly have her face. And well, you have my eyes as well."

"Wait. What are you saying here?"

"It should be pretty obvious," He motioned to a city we were now only a few hundred meters away from, "this is what you're going to inherit someday."

"So, is it just a trust thing or?"

"For Deilzavod's sake, I'm your dad!" I looked at him. I didn't see it. The closest thing was Demonic heritage. All Demons have at least red pupils, but he towered over me. "There's a more, pressing, reason I called you here though. You see, I've been in the middle of a project, and someone of your ability would certainly be of use." I crossed my arms and leaned on a pillar, "Okay, what is it and what's in it for me?"

"First, what's in it for you. Very good question. I've already guaranteed that you will someday rule over Hell, and that I intend on going through with, but if we are successful, you will rule heaven as well."

"Wait, you're not thinking of-"

"Wiping out the Angels. For years, we've been trapped in this realm, only able to leave for so long before being forcibly shoved down here again. Our cities are getting crowded, we are running out of food. Are you in?" I shrugged, "I'll think about it. I'm not too great on the whole genocide thing though." He took off his fedora, revealing hair that was far too similar to mine to be a coincidence, "I assumed so. Well, consider it, after all, we are family."

My eyes shot open. I looked at my phone, it was 5:47. I looked around the room. Jamie was sitting in her bed, reading one of Brit's books. I walked over to her, "Whatcha reading?" She jumped, "Don't do that!" She hissed, "I'm reading a book about Angels. I had a dream, it was my father, my actual father. He was, creepy. Like, pedophile creepy." I winced, "Yeah, that would probably keep me up too." We sat there for some time. "I had a dream like that too."

"Huh?"

"Like, I met my biological dad. He was, well, like yours, in terms that he was kinda creepy, but, in a completely different way. He had this, aura to him, almost like being in the same room as a convicted murderer, or Hitler. He was dressed like he was getting ready to go to some high-end event." Was that really my dad? It almost didn't seem real. Jamie turned the page. There was an illustration of an Angel and a Demon. We looked at each other, "That's-" we spoke in almost perfect unison, "my dad." The following silence hung in the air. The Angel was just as well built as my dad, if not better, he had long, blonde hair that looked almost identical to Jamie's, but his eyes were different. Instead of the soft blue that hers were, his were cold, like those of a rabid dog. They were both wearing similar clothing, battle armor that looked pulled right off a Roman soldier. Underneath both of them, they were labeled "General" and their names. "Wait a second." I looked at the name. "Lucifer? I'm not entirely sure, but last time I checked, Satan and Lucifer were the same person." Jamie shrugged, "Well, last time I checked half of the things we've seen should be considered impossible, so one guy being two guys wouldn't really be high on my list." She closed the book and looked at me. "What?" She shrugged, "I dunno. Earlier, when you said you heard something, are you sure?" I nodded, "Of course. I wouldn't just go in a defensive state for nothing." She sighed, "Normally, I'd say bullshit, but I know you well enough to know that's true." I walked back to my bed. "Oh, by the way," I looked over a Jamie, "I think I have some information that might be useful in the morning."

"Why not now?"

"Because." Of course.
