"Are you sure you want to do this?" I looked at Scorpio, "I mean, you'll be exhausted."

"Yes," She had a black dress and a flower covering her eye instead of the usual cloth eyepatch, "I know, two funerals and a date, but you're going to all of them with me, so if I get sad, you will too." I sighed, "Almighty then. Don't say I didn't warn you if you break down later." We walked out of the dorm, and were instantly stopped by Pisces and Jamie, "Well, if it isn't the two love-birds." I glared at Jamie, "What is it?" She shrugged, "Just wanted to see you three off. I mean, you are going with Scorpio to the funeral, right?" I nodded. "That's what I thought. Well," She looked at Scorpio, "You better not try anything with him." Pisces looked at me, "As with you."

We sat in a car. Well, more a limo, but whatever. "So," I looked outside, "Are you usually transported like this?"

"Yeah," Scorpio sighed, "It gets boring, sure, walking to town from the school is tiring, but at least I'm doing something."

"I dunno, I think walking to town from that far away would be a little of a hassle," Pisces pulled out a cellphone and began typing something on it, "Not to mention I can actually do something else while going from one point to another. Oh, by the way, Hellsing's not gonna be able to make it." Scorpio crossed her arms, "Of course. Well, not like she knew him anyway."

When we got to the burial site, I finally realized why it took three months to plan this. There was a statue of what I'm guessing was Scorpio's father, especially with the engraving "Gemini Topaz 1979-2018" on the bottom. There was a flower bed around it, and a urn sealed on the base. Scorpio showed me around the area, which was only a few hundred feet away from her home. "This is where I spent a good amount of time before I went to school." There was a tree with carvings running all the way up the trunk, "I would use this as a diary. It was completely anonymous, and since my carving is far different from my handwriting, no one knew it was me." I looked at some of the carvings on it. Most of them were pictures, hearts, diamonds, mythical figures, and people. Riddled around it were some sentences or even paragraphs. "Don't read it!"

"Why? You used to have a secret crush?" She glared at me, "No."

"You sure?"

"William Cypher Walker!" I laughed, "Well now I regret telling you my full name." She laughed too, and fell over, "Just so we're clear," I extended my hand and pulled her up, "That was your fault."

For the richest family in town, the funeral itself was, pretty cheap. There were plastic chairs, a makeshift podium made of more chairs and a stone tablet, and most people were in casual attire. "So," someone walked up to Scorpio and I, "Who's the guy?" Scorpio awkwardly laughed, "He's a, friend." The woman laughed, not normally, but one of those laughs that rich people have in sitcoms, "Please, I'm your aunt, you can tell me if you have a boyfriend!" Scorpio started grinding her teeth, "Fine, this is my boyfriend, Bill. Bill, this is my aunt Carla." Carla extended her hand, "Nice to meet you." I grabbed it, and shook it, but right as I let go, I was put in the second tightest grip I've ever been held in. "Welcome to the family!" I felt the air escaping my lungs, right as I started suffocating, she put me down. "Don't you think that was a little extra mom?" A guy who looked to be in his mid 20s appeared behind her. "Oh shut it Jonathan." She walked away, and Jonathan followed. "Sorry, those are some," she sharply inhaled, "relatives. Our family is kind of spread across the world, I've got some here in America, some in Europe, and a little in the Philippines. As a result, we've got some parts like my family, and then you have some on the other end of the spectrum living in ghettos and shady areas."

"Kinda like where I used to live. Well, before I had nowhere to live."

"You live in that area of town?!"

"Yeah. It's the main reason my adoptive parents were killed. Drive-bys were pretty common, hell, Masaomi and I used to bet on if there was gonna be one some weeks. It's how I managed to have a good amount of money when they died."

"Oh. Well, I've gotta talk soon, we should probably go."

"Yeah."

Pisces was crying. Normally, I'd see someone like her crying as comedic, but knowing what else happened, it was sad. She could barely get words out. "I really can't think of a lot more," she said through her tears, "Scorpio, your turn." Scorpio walked to the "podium". "How many years has it been since we've been gathered here like this? Four? We really gotta stop coming together just for funerals." There was a small chuckle from everyone. "My dad, wasn't the best for a majority of my life. He wasn't abusive, but he was neglectful. Pisces and I saw him one or twice a week, and that was it. Until, our mom died. Then, he was there for us. For a few years, I was just glad he was there for us, and didn't think of the reason." She wiped her eye, "Now I know, it was to make sure we had someone. As long as he was here. I've known that for the part 2 years. I'm not sure if Pisces has, and I can grantee a majority of you didn't. This family has lost one, yes, but with every death something is born." I braced myself for her to say something about me, "And I've experienced two recently. Two deaths, and two births." Naomi. I tried to keep myself together, ultimately, I did, but it was hard. I wasn't too affected by her death, never really knew a lot about her, but Akumura was devastated. Whenever I think of her, my mind eventually goes to his cries when she died. "Yesterday, at an incident at School, a close friend of mine, Naomi Heiwagima, was killed. But, some good has come out of it. For one, I've become closer to my friends than I would've if this hadn't happened. And," Oh great here it comes, "I've began a romantic relationship because of that." There it is. Everyone looked in my direction, I just looked around, as if trying to find who she was talking about. "That's beside the point though," her voice started breaking, "We're here for my father, Gemini Topaz. A businessman, a husband, and a father."

We started walking downtown. "You sure you can handle another?" She nodded, "Yeah." I looked at her. "Maybe?" I tilted my head. "Yes, I can."

"Alright."
