About five kilometers north of the main road lies the pass between the two peaks, which is the only way to the outside world from the hilly town of Rado. After hundreds of years of efforts, people built the defense facilities to be perfect due to frequent uncontrolled attacks by biological weapons and mutants.

After the soldiers in the passage verified the identity of Nange, they opened the heavy iron gate and let him drove the war truck in. When Nange went off the war truck, it was surrounded by dozens of men with wide eyes, whose fervent eyes had shocked him. They were all from the town of Rado. Who doesn't know whom? What's more, how could the guards not be overjoyed to know through a phone message, that Nange had defeated the water monster brothers and removed the threat from the town? The intensity of those guards' enthusiasm gave Nange his first taste of iconic status.

"You know what. "Brother Nange," Said one of the guards, "the Red Wolf was talking about you just now when he passed by."

"Red Wolf? This surprised Nange. "You know him?

"Well," said the guard. "he is the most famous of all bounty hunters, who doesn’t know him, it’s a pity that I haven’t seen his face."

"What... What did he say about me?"

"He said you were brave, but too young and inexperienced." The guard said. "To be a real bounty hunter, you have to find a few friends who have the same interests in mind, and you have to get more experience

"I thought about that too," Nange said after thinking quietly for a moment. "Such a partner is hard to find."

"I've heard that there are desperados in the town of Bobb. You might as well try your luck and find some good company. "The guard sighed." there is no useful war truck that I can't even get out if I want to, and I’m getting old, the world will be yours.”

Indeed, compared with the invigorated Nange, the man in his late forties appears to be full of elation. Is this the sorrow of the man who has lost his courage? Nange turned to look at his beloved war truck, and the displeasure of this sad man's words evaporated. Bobb? It is the most beautiful city in the whole continent of Yasi'ao, and it has long been said by the elders to be a dreamlike paradise for nomadic hunters. Naturally, it is also the place that Nange longs for. He decided to go there to rest and collect his prize for knocking down the water monster. After a short break in the passage, he declined the enthusiastic entreaties of the guards, and drove his beloved war truck on the way to Bobb.

Red Wolf is ahead, which is the real reason why Nange won’t rest.

Gradually, the town of Rado was far from Nange The boy who left his native land for the first time. In his heart, more than sadness, was a strange excitement for exploring the future world. As the war truck moved farther away, a vision emerged of a stark contrast to the town of Rado, with abandoned houses, fallen and rotting trees, and now and then corroded and yellowed machines blocking the road. The sun was pale and shining in the absence of the loess plain shaded by the trees on the mountains, it makes Nange who had planned to enjoy the sun's rays closed the tank five minutes after opening it. The long monotonous driving makes him drowsy. Been tired of the view, Nange simply activated the computer control system, which guided the war truck to the nearest town, and then he buckled his seat belt and closed eyes to rest.

He did not know how long it had been. When he woke up, he found that the war truck had stopped outside a wood. The sun was over his head. It was noon. Through the less dense wood he could dimly see a great mass of houses. Was this the town of Bobb? Nange drove the war truck around the forest for a long time, but it was impossible to find the road to drive into. The big trees were arranged in a haphazard way, and the widest part was only for two people to walk side by side. He had to get out of the truck and walk in.

"Then go in." "Said Nange consolingly to himself.

Through the tall trees, Nange felt very strange. The buildings here are very different from Rado. All the houses are made of thick and strong wood. The town is not big, with sparse houses and patches of vegetable land interlacing each other, a unique landscape. It seems to be lunchtime, and many rooms are full of smoke that he can't see anyone outside. He wandered around, but he could not locate a house with a hotel sign. He was puzzled for a moment and went to knock at the big wooden door of the house nearest to him.

"Who? A woman's gentle voice came from the room.

"I'm a passer-by," said nan. “I'd like to have dinner with you. Don't worry, I’ll pay for that”

The door was opened, and in it stood a young woman, whose face brightened Nange's eyes.

"Come in, guests from afar," said the young woman as she came into the sitting-room. "We have no good food, but we can still feed you."

The furniture in the room was all made of wood and looked a little rough. On the sofa in the corner of the living room, there is asleep child of seven or eight years old, from time to time the sound of an old man's slightly painful cough comes from the bedroom. Seeing the Nange's glance in the inner room, the young woman smiled and said to him. "That's my grandpa, he has never been away from here, so he is very curious about things. He would be delighted if you could talk to him about the world outside.” The young woman has gone to cook, he got up and went into the inner room.

The bedroom was not large, except for a bed and a table. The old man, as the young woman said, slept on the bed, covered with a thick quilt, showing a whitish head with hair and hair. On the table, black and red pottery pot sends out a strong medicinal smell. The old man was not asleep. He watched Nange come in, smiled a little, and raised his hand to beckon him to sit by the bed.

"I'm old, sorry for that I can't get up," the old man said. "Guests from afar, welcome to the town of McKee."

'Is this town called McKee? Said Nange, "what a beautiful place, the air is fresh and intoxicating, if it is not something I have to do, I really want to stay here forever."

The old man smiled. “That would be nice. But on the other hand, there is no place for guests to keep their feet, and any place in the world can serve as the destination of the prodigal son. I don't know where you're going, but it's nice to rest your feet with me as you pass by.

Nange also smiled, he quite likes this amiable old man. From the old man's account, he learned a great deal about Mckee. At the moment, the inhabitants of McKee town are mostly women, children and the elderly, and their pastoral lives are filled with people who want to live in the land. Countless people have not been heard from since they left the town. "Well," said the old man, "there was a heavy rain a few days ago, and I didn’t know if my granddaughter had dug the drain of the potato fields outside. If sweet potatoes were to rot in the fields, this year's rations would be hopeless. A family really can't be fine without a working man... "

There was a sweet potato field about three minutes long to the left of the house. The field was green and looked very comfortable. Around and in the middle of the potato field were ditches, which should have been done by the old man's granddaughter, but it did not seem to make much difference, the water in the field almost overflowed the ridge. Nange got a shovel from the house and dug it up depending upon his own plan. Soon the water trickled from his newly dug drainage ditch into the depression not far away. He breathed a sigh of relief and bent his head. There was a flash of light on the ground, and he picked it up curiously only to find it was a gold ring with a blue diamond. No one knows when it was left in the vegetable patch, which seems to be a few years old, according to the traces of soil on it.

Nange went into the living room with a spade and a ring. The young woman had arranged the food on the table. She looked back at the ring in Nange. Her calm face suddenly revealed a complex expression of shock and joy. “"This...... This......where did you find this ring?"
