Jade continue kneeling till it was 9 pm. Those who came to pay respect already left leaving Jade and the Matriach loyal servants. Her family all left after their provocation did not give them desirable outcome instead they were the ones left humiliated. The mourning hall appears lonely and desolated.

If I'm gone, would anyone miss me? Jade pondered sadly to herself. She slumped down on a nearby chair and drifted off to sleep. Her body was tired from all the kneeling and greeting. At the same time, mentally worn out because she had to decipher body languages and act accordingly to society acceptance. Not only that she had to decode people's speech for any hidden meaning or messages. Trying to be normal is not an easy feat. No wonder people are so pretentious because they want to fit in so that they don't end up an outcast. Life like this is so tiring and bothersome.

Derek got off work late, he was busy going over new proposals to approve plus due to his morning escapade to meet her he delayed some of his work which he could not afford to ignore. Instead of heading home, he drove to the funeral home. The whole day, he was waiting for a message from her but was left disappointed because that message did not arrive. Upon his arrival, he saw her slumped on a chair looking so fragile and exhausted. Some drool can be seen seeping out of the corner of her mouth. Definitely not lady like when asleep. Her appearance caused some turmoil in his heart. He can't bear to see her this way. He asked the servants if she had eaten and they told him she have not eaten a proper meal the whole day. He then asked if there is any place he can helped placed her so that she can lay more comfortably. They left to made some arrangements. They answered his queries honestly because they saw the way he treated her this morning.

He instructed one of his hidden guards to buy supper after inquiring her likes and dislikes. He read that people with Asperger's has sensitive taste buds and maybe picky eater. The servant that was supposed to arrange the sleeping quarters came back with a room key. Derek gently picked Jade up princess style and carried her to the designated room. She was as light as a feather. Jade feeling his body heat, stirred and made herself comfortable. She tried to burrow her head deeper into his chest. She then purred like a satisfied kitten.

This scent, clean and fresh. I can't get enough of it. Warm, warm, it is no longer cold. Finally the sun is here. Jade was dreaming that it was spring time and she was running through a field of wild flowers, chasing butterflies while laughing. In her dream, she was surrounded by people, laughing happily as well. Mama Lu was sitting under a big Apple tree waving at her. Suddenly, she was carried and twirl around, she closed her eyes to enjoy the gentle breeze that was blowing her hair all over her face, she could hear his laughter too as he was twirling her around and then it stopped and her soft body was pressed against his hard chest and then she looked up and it was him. He was smiling and his eyes were tender and filled with love. Love? Does it really exist? It does. Mama Lu definitely loved her but now she's gone. And then there is Derek. Her new guardian angel. She reached out and put her arms around his neck and buried her face into his chest

Derek was taken by surprised when Jade suddenly moved and put her arms around his neck and buried her face back at her favourite spot on his chest. He heard her calling out his name. "Derek, it's you." He was puzzled by her actions because he is positively sure that she is asleep unless she was dreaming and she was dreaming of him. He unknowingly broke into a huge grin scaring his hidden guards because they never witnessed him smiling genuinely and they didn't think he knew how to smile. When he tried to put her down, she grabbed his clothes refusing to part from her source of warmth. In the end, he laid beside her because struggling seems futile plus he kind of like the feeling of holding her. Finally, he is no longer in the cold anymore. He instructed to keep the supper warm and served once she is awake.

He eventually drifted off to sleep as well. Jade woke up around 12 am, it was her habit to drink water at that time. When she opened her eyes, she was about to scream because of the unfamiliar environment, then she realised that her hand was held by an unfamiliar yet familiar hand. Realisation hit her. His hand!!! Was it not a dream? He was HERE? She looked at the man beside her who appears so peaceful and perfect. However, she can sense that they were two peas in a pod, they are somewhat similar. She just didn't know how to explain. Derek, a light sleeper, aroused the moment she tugged his hand. Jade quickly release his hand and pushed herself away from his chest and sat straight up.

"Awake? hungry?" Derek spoke as if it was only natural for her to sleep beside him."I am hungry..." before she could finish her sentence, he already gotten up to signal his guards outside to serve the food. His guards were lamenting what a waste of their martial arts. They quickly serve the supper piping hot without any hesitation. She was left speechless with the level of attention and care he has given her. She beemed with happiness when she saw the food were mostly her favourite. He must have asked the servants her likings. She would be lying if she said she was not touched by his actions.

"Eat." He commanded. They ate in silence but it wasn't awkward. It was clear they were enjoying the meal. After the hearty meal, Jade could not keep silent anymore as her curiosity took over. "Mm, when did you arrive?" "I arrived just after you fell asleep on the chair. I was told you didn't even have a proper meal today, so I got some people to get us supper as I have not eaten dinner as well. Since you were sleeping in a very awkward position, with drool over your face and your legs were apart. It was such an eye sore that I decided to ask your servant to arrange for a sleeping quarter. When I carried you, you didn't seem to want to let go of me, that is how I ended up sleeping beside you." Derek recounted the events as clear as a day. "My sleeping posture, it wasn't such an eye sore, right? I saw your lips twitched when you mentioned it. You were teasing me, right?" Derek laughed out loud this time. "It was the truth. You were drooling!" he exclaimed. "It was an eye sore because you look so uncomfortable in that position." he added on softly. "You called out my name when you were asleep, were you dreaming of me?" he asked shamelessly.
