The magazine came over and handed over the price with instructions. They decided to publish the winner names under pseudonym because Matriach Lu did not want to attract attention to Jade. Jade had fun in the States for 10 days, when she returned, Matriach Lu was approached by two men in suits claiming they were from the government, secret intelligence unit, they needed Jade's help to decode some Russian spies communication method, it's similar to the ones that were published in the international science magazine. Since it is a matter of national security, Matriach Lu agreed but her consent cannot be used because Jade was a minor and her parents were still alive, in the end, they had to inform Master Lu to sign the consent. Master Lu did not even give it much thought and signed the documents.
After 2 days, Jade was done, the two men who stayed around while waiting for her to solve the codes left hurriedly and were replaced by another two men. According to them till the spies were apprehended and exterminated they will always be personnels accompanying them and this matter shall not be leaked out due to its sensitivity. Matriach Lu had them blend in as her household person. After 6 months, they left after presenting her with a medal token.
The Russian spies that were planted in China were Heather's parents. Before they were captured, they managed to send home messages that their codes were broken and their position had been compromised. Heather at that time was only 12 years old, her brother, Sergei was 15 years old. She overheard the conversation of her uncle and aunt about her parents situation, it was grave and most likely they will never return. Her uncle and aunt are part of the organisation as well. Her uncle was discussing how to deal with them if his brother really did not return. They don't earn much and can't afford to feed extra two mouth, initially it was supposed to be for few months but now the money that Heather's parents had left for child care had almost been used up.
Plus, if Heather's parents failed the mission, the next to go would be them. They were running out of options. Maybe foster care? Heather who was listening could not bear to listen any longer to the conversation. She persuaded her brother to leave their uncle house that very night. They took whatever money they had and ran. They got into trouble one day with a Russian underworld gang when he tried to break into one of the parked vehicle by the roadside. He wanted to loot from the car whileHeather was on the lookout. He was beaten nearly to death, then both of them were dragged to meet the Mafia boss, Alexander Mikhailov. Alexander took them in and trained Sergei as one of his henchmen and as for Heather, she was forced to warm Alexander bed.

She wanted to murder her uncle and aunt but unfortunately or probably fortunately they died during their mission.
Crystal Cheng Fee Vien married Fabian Igor, a Russian, when she was 18 years old, it was love at first sight, a fairy tale romance. They met when he came to China on a business trip. Her family was against the marriage but she was adamant to marry the love of her life. She fled with him to Russia. The first five years was good, Fabian then was promoted and had his own secretary, he started coming back late, sometimes he don't return at all, then she found out he was having an affair, she confronted him, instead she was beaten to a pulp and was kicked out her home.
