"Are you going tonight?" Jess asked Jason. After working together for some months now, she no longer acts like a school girl in front of him.
"Are you asking me to be your date?" Jason teased her. He has been feeling frustrated because lately his teasing no longer works against her, it seems she had developed immunity. She even managed to conceal her emotions, and he finds it hard to read her emotions. He cursed Sarah and Jade for corrupting his innocent Jess.
"I already have a date." Jess replied nonchalantly. She didn't even look up when she replied.
"Who?" he demanded an answer from her. His face entered her visual field and in a millisecond it was in front of her face, his eyes staring intently into her waiting for her reply.
"Why do you care? You are not even my mother. Unless you want to be my brother, should I start calling you elder brother?" she replied with a sweet smile. She decided to be a tease today. Payback time. This is for always bullying me.
"Nobody is interested to be your brother. I am ... " Jason the silver tongue was suddenly loss for words. Damn! I really have no right to ask.
"You were claiming to be my ....? I did not hear clearly your relationship to me." Jess challenged Jason and looked straight into his eyes.
"I want to be your boyfriend!" Jason blurted out. Shit! Did I say that out loud. She looks shocked. I did say it out loud. Keep calm, calm down, just wait for her response.
Jess scratched her ears trying to figure out if she heard him correctly. She kept silent trying to find the appropriate response to that unexpected confession. That can be considered as a confession, right? "Was that a confession? Do you like me Jason? Are you interested in me?" she bombarded him with a string of questions.
Jason palms was already drenched in sweat. His heart was beating like crazy. "Jessica Tan I like you and I want you to be my girlfriend. I hate it when other guys look at you. I won't allow you to date anyone except me." Jason confessed.
"Why should I listen to you? Is there any benefit if I become your girlfriend?" Jess replied.
"I will be faithful and I will feed you when you're hungry, will feed you when you're happy and will feed you when you're sad. I will allow food to be number one in your heart and I'm willing to be number two. No guy will be willing to do that. This proves that I really like you Whatever you want to eat, I'll get it. " he replied after deliberation. He knows she loves food and is a glutton.
"Do you think I am a pig?" Jess asked with a pout.
"A cute one." Jason replied with a smile, no longer nervous. As he expected, she raised her hand to slap his shoulder but he easily dodged her attack and he grabbed onto her wrist and pulled her towards him. Her soft chest bumped into his hard chest. Their close proximity caused Jess to lose all composure and the previous haughty air she put on dissipated. She blushed until her cheeks were tinged with pink colour. Jason look at the face that has always fascinate him. He inched his face closer to hers and pushed her backwards till her back is against the wall and she had nowhere to run.
"What do you think you are doing?" Jess asked in a panicked tone.
"This. Something I have been wanting to do from the moment I saw you that morning in the elevator. I have always wanted to taste those sultry lips of yours." He had to bend his body down as she was much shorter than him and he gave her a kiss. His tongue slides in with ease because of shock, Jess lips was already parted. He nibble on her lower lips and his tongue teased the inside of her mouth. "Be mine, okay?"
"Alright, don't make me regret my decision." She replied and fled. She could hear Jason's hearty laugh as she was fleeing. She patted her chest and she took a few deep breath to calm her excitement. She started jumping and perform a few cartwheels, since she could not contain her excitement, might as well express it. She let out a few laughs as well. She failed to notice Jason standing a few steps away.
"I am glad, I am not the only one who is celebrating the upgrade of our relationship." Jason's words took Jess by surprised and caused her to freeze midway of her cartwheel causing her to lose balance and tumble down. Jason quickly dived down to break her fall and ended up cushioning her fall. She fell atop of him, her face and hair sprawled over his chest.
"Are you alright? Did you hurt yourself?" Jason interrogated Jess and his hands were roaming her body to check for injuries. Once he was satisfied she was fine, his hands cupped her face and brought her face closer to his and claimed her lips again. This time the kiss was longer and even more passionate from the previous one. Finally, he release her lips. "That was for giving me a scare." he scolded her.
"I haven't even scold you for disrupting my concentration and you are blaming me. I think I am regretting my earlier decision, I want to..." Jason claimed her lips again but Jess refused to back down, she attempted to speak against his mouth and she ended up accidentally biting his lips causing it to bleed.
"Sorry. sorry" she apologize.
"We are now even, you are not allow to back out!" Jason commanded.
"You two can get a room, I can give the day off." Derek said when he saw the two of them lying in an ambiguous position and then he walked away.
"Okay." "No" Jess and Jason answered simultaneously. Jess glared at Jason. He smiled at her instead.
