The Dionysus Gods dropped their jaws with blank looks on their faces.

They were unable to process what they had just heard.

Following a silence, one Dionysus God stared at the blonde god with shaking eyes and a stiffened face.

“Are you serious about going over to the Demonic Realm?”

“Does it sound like a joke to you?”

The blonde god replied in a calm manner.

The Dionysus Gods endured the weight of the silence in the midst of the chaos.

Countless thoughts crossed the minds of the Dionysus Gods.

If they thought about it, the blonde god was offering the most realistic method.

Heaven had strict rules, and those who violated them had to take responsibility by enduring a long road of pain.

And what they did was wake the former devil king, Hellcard, and let him loose in the Demonic Realm.

The responsibility that would follow was heavy beyond words.

For that reason, the Dionysus Gods had to make a choice.

Whether they would take responsibility for their mistakes after having lost their power, or if they would go over to the Demonic Realm and walk a new path with Hellcard.

Upon seeing the Dionysus Gods contemplating, the blonde god continued to convince them, “The price we’d have to pay for this is beyond your imagination. It’s possible we’ll never be able to step into either Heaven or the Demonic Realm ever again.”

The blonde god’s words were enough to sway the hearts of the Dionysus Gods.

The Dionysus Gods of Heaven were also able to be tempted.

And when they surrendered to the temptation, they would become a fallen angel.

It was a simple process.

The blonde god waited in order to give the Dionysus Gods enough time to think.

As time passed, the Dionysus Gods would become more and more afraid, making them desperate to find a way out.

After all, one spark was enough to light a whole mountain on fire.

The blonde god smiled at the Dionysus Gods.

***

2 weeks passed.

It could be considered long or short, but the people felt that there was peace once more.

The people believed that the difficult times were over.

The dungeons disappeared, no monsters could be seen, and thanks to Min Sung, the Demonic Realm, which was threatening mankind, backed away.

Of course, trauma and fear still remained due to the monsters and the Demonic Realm, but it was true that it was peaceful now.

On top of that, since not a single citizen was hurt as a result of the devils’ second attack, that meant a great deal.

For that reason, Min Sung was a precious being, and that was enough reason to deify and worship Min Sung.

“This is crazy. How many people are there?”

Ho Sung Lee smoked his cigarette as he shook his head at the sight that he saw afar from the rooftop.

Despite a long time having passed since the Demonic Realm attacked, countless people were kneeling beneath Min Sung’s house and paying their respects.

It was a spectacle.

Ho Sung Lee looked away from the sight. He put out his cigarette and after washing his hands and gargling downstairs, he headed to the living room.

Min Sung was getting ready to go outside.

“Where are you going?”

Ho Sung Lee asked.

“I’m going to go out to eat for once,” answered Min Sung as he fixed himself in the mirror.

Ho Sung Lee glanced out the window and looked back at Min Sung.

“That’ll be tiring. Are you sure you’ll be okay?”

“Why?”

Min Sung asked Ho Sung Lee.

“It’s chaos out there. They’re treating you like a god. There are countless people bowing for you out there. It won’t be easy getting out.”

Min Sung thought for a moment before finishing getting ready.

“That’s not a good enough reason to not eat out”

Ho Sung Lee scoffed.

“That’s true. Then I’ll call Central Institute so that you can get there comfortably.”

Ho Sung Lee took out his phone and made a call to Ji Yoo Kim.

***

Min Sung felt stuffy at home, so he decided to eat out.

Before leaving, Bowl and Repone had returned home from their treatments.

Bowl entered his pocket while Repone followed Min Sung around everywhere.

Only the free-spirited Ssol relaxed out in the yard.

Just like that, he left the house with Bowl, Repone, and Ho Sung Lee.

Once he got out onto the roads in his car, the Central Institute had already cleared the big crowd.

“What a relief. It looks like the citizens cooperated.”

Min Sung stared out the window without a word.

Ho Sung Lee glanced over at Min Sung and continued driving.

The restaurant they were headed to had been decided since departure.

Min Sung said he wanted to eat eel, so Ho Sung Lee organized information regarding that dish, and they were now headed toward a famous restaurant.

“We’re here.”

Ho Sug Lee parked, and Min Sung got out of the car.

The restaurant they arrived at was an eel restaurant.

As soon as Min Sung entered the restaurant, the manager and employee greeted Min Sung in a nervous yet respectful manner.

They showed him to his seat and worried about his every single movement as they took care of him.

But Min Sung didn’t care.

An employee approached Min Sung as he contemplated on what to eat.

They offered to prepare a plentiful meal only for him, but since a fancy meal didn’t suit lunchtime, Min Sung decided to eat rice with eel instead.

The employees respected Min Sung’s decision and began preparing his meal.

Meanwhile, Min Sung looked around the restaurant.

It was luxurious, clean, and resembled the atmosphere of Japan.

Min Sung then looked at Ho Sung Lee who was still standing behind him.

“Sit down. Let’s eat together.”

“Thank you.”

Ho Sung Lee bowed. He ordered a rice dish and sat across from Min Sung.

Ho Sung Lee now behaved quite naturally around Min Sung.

It was neither lacking nor too much.

That was only possible because he now knew Min Sung better than anybody.

An employee brought over side dishes, and not long afterward, two orders of rice with eel came out.

Min Sung lifted his spoon and began his meal.

He picked up a spoonful of rice and eel and put it into his mouth.

Om nom.

The softness of the eel and the luxurious scent of eel entered his nose, and the sweet rice chewed deliciously between his teeth.

The eel melted inside his mouth.

And since it was rice with eel, there was no need for many side dishes.

Radish and cucumber, which cleansed the palate, was enough, and a warm soybean soup was perfect.

Min Sung enjoyed the soft and savory flavor of the eel as he finished his lunch.

By the time he wiped his mouth with a tissue, an employee brought him a cup of black tea.

When he sipped the reddish-black tea, he felt his body, heart, and even his mind warming up.

“Not bad,” said Min Sung as he looked down at the black tea.

“Sir.”

In response to Ho Sung Lee’s calling, Min Sung lifted his head.

“Including Commander Ji Yoo Kim of Central Institute, many politicians in both Korea and abroad are doing whatever they can to meet you.”

Min Sung drank his black tea and looked at Ho Sung Lee in confusion.

“I cut them all off because I didn’t think you would be interested, but what do you think?”

“What’s the reason?”

“Some are doing it for their own gain while others are doing it for national power or ambition.”

Even though Min Sung hadn’t been in the human world for long, he was still able to understand that much.

He knew about it, but it was true that he didn’t want to deal with it.

For that reason, Ho Sung Lee expressed his opinion in a concerning manner.

“I feel like it’s best to meet people and control them to some degree, no matter how much you don’t want to.”

“Why?”

“Because if you don’t, they’ll try to control you.”

Min Sung laughed.

“Me?”

“It’s possible.”

“How?”

“Misunderstanding.”

“Misunderstanding?”

“‘It might look like he was fighting for justice, but it was actually out of spite.’ They could use the emotions of humans to cause a misunderstanding about you. That could make things more bothersome, and it could also cause your reputation to be tainted, and their fear could lead to chaos.”

Min Sung knitted his brows, but Ho Sung Lee didn’t flinch and continued to appeal his opinion, “If you don’t set it straight yourself, the world will fall into chaos.”

Min Sung stared into space as if he felt bothered and drank his black tea.

Min Sung put down his teacup and sighed.

“I understand what you’re saying, but it’s not over yet.”

“… I’m sorry?”

Ho Sung Lee asked Min Sung with confused eyes.

He couldn’t understand.

“If the owner of the Demonic Realm, Veld, had this much power before, he wouldn’t have had a reason to back down when the devils attacked the human world the first time. That means the Dionysus Gods were involved this time.”

Ho Sung Lee realized what he had forgotten.

Min Sung clicked his tongue.

“Dionysus Gods hold grudges, meaning they’re surprisingly petty and cowardly.”

Ho Sung Lee smiled bitterly in agreement.

“At this point, those bastards won’t give up so easily.”

“You might be right.”

“So you do it.”

“Pardon? Do what?”

“You do the work in my stead.”

“Are you saying…”

“I said I’d put an end to this.”

Ho Sung Lee stared at Min Sung blankly.

“Whether I talk to them, threaten them, or kill them… I have to end this once and for all. I can’t keep getting dragged around.”

“Then I’ll…”

“You just said we have to set it straight, or the world will face chaos.”

“… Yes.”

“If there’s a problem, solve the problem. That’s the best thing to do.”

Ho Sung Lee looked at Min Sung with respect and nodded.

“Yes, Sir.”

Min Sung was about to take another sip of his black tea when he stopped himself.

“It’s cold.”

Min Sung stared down at his nearly empty cup of black tea. He put down the cup and opened his mouth.
