“Hm?” Gu Yue’s eyes flashed dangerously; if the bald man had merely scolded him there was no problem, but now he actually insulted Gu Yue’s parents. How could Gu Yue tolerate that?
Gu Yue’s face paled in anger. He straightened up, then balled his right fist into a tight grip and swung. Along with it came 10 pounds of beast meat smashing into the bald man’s face.
It was too sudden; the foot that the man had lifted to kick Gu Yue with had froze. His kick was not even with half a step off the ground when that force had smashed into him. It was like someone took a massive sledgehammer and pounded it into him.
Although the man could not be said to have been physically weak, he was not properly trained. Abruptly, blood splurted from his nose, two bright red columns streaming down. However, despite the attack, other than the man’s nose, nothing else that had been hit, face or otherwise, appeared to be damaged.
This was the power of a warrior; at the Third Level of Body Refining, the skin, bones and blood had all been refined already. By the Fifth Level of Body Refining, the bones and skin would become more or less impervious to ordinary swords; warriors of such calibre were extremely hard to kill in normal combat. If not for the fact that the nose was a weak part of the body, he would not have bled at all.
“Argh!” The bald man roared. He was completely angry; he had not thought that Gu Yue would fight back, and even hurt him. All from a mere passerby! Who was the one who didn’t recognize the other? The frail Gu Yue had looked like a target he could bully, as weak as fish meat. Every time he was caught, he would be obediently beaten, and if he was shouted at, would just docilely get shouted at, never retaliating.
But today, not only had Gu Yue dared to rebuff him, but he even dared to hit him! If he didn’t severely teach him a lesson, then where would his face go?
In his rage, without any warning, his fist clenched, then swung out heavily, aiming at Gu Yue’s head. With his Fifth Stage Body Refining, if that punch landed, it would be enough to knock Gu Yue into a coma; a vegetative state.
Gu Yue however, was fearless. With his large spiritual power, he could easily sense every move the bald man made. From the view of others, the punch, which would be as fast as lightning, was in slow motion to him. After looking at the angle of the punch, he easily side stepped.
This was the advantage of a powerful spiritual force; although derived from spirit and therefore not directly usable in combat, but it allowed super-human levels of perception, enough to face enemies usually unbeatable.

Gu Yue released the bag of meat in his hand. If it was only the meat in the bag, he would not have cared too much, but the herbs inside were extremely precious. If they were damaged, even beating the bald man to a bloody pulp would not cover the cost. So, as he dropped the bag, he skilfully retreated two steps.
With just a precise two steps, the bald man’s fist just harmlessly swung by, separated by ten centimetres, but completely useless. However, being an experienced warrior, as his stepped forward, with a twist of his body, a vicious elbow strike swung fiercely towards Gu Yue’s head. Since he was a full head taller then Gu Yue, naturally, the strike was aimed at his head.
“Oi!” The trick the bald man used was both fast and ruthless, revealing his skill and good judgement. With a slight cry, Gu Yue bent over backwards and at the same time, swung out with his right foot, kicking the bald man’s chin.

“Bang!” The sound of defeat was loud; the bald man was too committed to his attack and could not dodge in time. Gu Yue’s kick landed squarely on his chin. And with that, his huge body flew in a perfect arc and landed on the ground heavily a few meters away.
A Third Stage Body Refining warrior had more than 500 kg of force in his kick. Forget adults, even bulls would be sent flying.

“You little freak, I’m going to kill you!” Suddenly leaping, the bald man bent forward and begun to hammer down at Gu Yue with his fists.
It was a move known as Explosive Bear Punch, and it was an extremely strong punch that was powerful beyond imagination. The point of practicing martial arts was to increase the combat prowess of a person. For the bald man with his Fifth Stage Body Refining strength, even reinforced concrete would be shattered, let alone blood and bone. For Gu Yue’s small physique, it would be the end of his life; even a small brush would give him injuries.
“Bring it!” Gu Yue laughed; in his eyes, the bald man’s moves were full of flaws. The more violent the attack, the more obvious the flaws. He really could not understand. He had already smashed the bald man’s chin. How had he not yet learned his lesson?
No matter how one looked at it, for a person who had been a bully for many years, it stood to reason that he should have had a rich experience in fighting. How had he committed such low level errors? Could it be that even now, he still underestimated Gu Yue?
With a sudden leap, a sharp and accurate kick landed on the bald man’s throat.
The bald man froze. His fists were still tightened, and kept the form of the Explosive Bear Punch, but his eyes showed extreme anger; he could not believe what had just happened.

His large body heavily crumpled to the floor. Cultivating helped make the body as strong as fine iron, but even then one was not always able to resist critical hits.
Although his strength was indeed better than Gu Yue’s, that single kick of Gu Yue’s was targeted at his weak spot and aimed to kill. As such, he could only clutch his throat with both hands, violently and breathlessly coughing. How could he have the ability to do anything?
‘Robbery is a dangerous business! If you have no strength, then just be a good and obedient person! Remember, don’t mess with me next time.” Patting the man’s cheek, Gu Yue picked his bag and turned away.
After walking less than 10 meters, he turned around again. Before the bald man’s very eyes, he flipped him over and patted him down, searching through every pocket, but could only find a military lighter in the end. Gu Yue sighed, before reproachfully saying: “You really are a frugal bastard. If you have the money why not buy some fancier stuff? Searching your entire body only yielded so much; really makes me wonder if I’ve actually accomplished anything at all. ”
In the new era, money was transported on a chip that was linked to individual identity. It was extremely difficult to find someone carrying hard cash, even more difficult then grabbing the sky.
When he returned home, Gu Yue was completely immersed in his excitement. After having fought two battles, even if the opponent was just some half-assed drop out bully, the confidence it brought him was not small.
Now, now he had truly completed his transformation. Finally, the cowardly, timid, bullied Gu Yue had disappeared!
