Sitting in the taxi, Hans took out the stack of money; there were sixty-five brand new Franklins.

"The auction cost $250, and the trucks rentals cost $150, that's $400 total, so there's $6100 left. According to our agreement, we'll split the money sixty-forty with you getting the sixty."

While saying that, Hans counted out thirty-six bills. "Here's your portion, I left out a hundred to pay for the car ride."

Nodding his head as a sign of agreement, Li Du then said, "There's also the interest for pawning your pickup, I'll help you with that cost as well."

"Forget about that, we did agree that you are responsible for finding the right storage while I'll take care of the other things," Hans replied.

Hearing this reply, Li Du hesitated before asking, "Um, Mr. Fox, are you not curious how I'm able to so accurately find the right storage?"

"Will you tell me?"

"NO!"

"There we go! Why would I still ask if I already know that I won't get an answer? Doing so will just hurt our friendship. Plus, who doesn't have their own secrets, I have no interest in violating another's privacy."

"I like your thinking," Li Du replied as he let out a smile.

"You will also come to like me as a person!" Hans proudly proclaimed.

With $6000 in profit, Hans got $2400, with another $200 for a total of $2600, he would be able to reclaim his old pickup.

According to the contract, the daily interest is one-fiftieth of the price of the car, so two days was exactly one hundred dollars.

After getting into the car, Hans turned on the stereo, and soon the godfather of reggae, Bob Marley, filled the cab.

Li Du didn't understand that type of music, so he merely looked out the window.

Seeing the trees flashing by, he asked, "Where are we going?"

Hans mysteriously smiled before giving him a wink, "We earn money to enjoy life, I'm bringing you to an awesome place that's surely going to rock you from head to toe."

In the end, the remarkable place he mentioned was Flagstaff's red-light district.

As Hans stepped out the pickup, some girls started to walk in their direction. Just from their response, one could tell that Hans was a regular there.

"Hi Mr. Fox, long time no see, I thought you had died."

"Right, I wanted to attend your funeral, but in the end, I didn't get an invitation."

"You need to repay us for the tears that we shed, I even asked a friend to try to find your body, hehe."

With girls hanging off both his arms, Hans' smile couldn't get any bigger, "If I die, then it'll be in your beds. As for repayment? What repayment? Were those truly tears? When did you girls grow eyes down there?"

Greeted by this sight, Li Du was stunned and quickly returned back to the pickup even before his feet touched the ground.

"Hey, buddy, come down and play!" Hans shouted.

"Sorry, I'm not interested in playing with girls," Li Du firmly refused.

Hearing this, a young man walked up with a coquettish smile, "Hey honey, how coincidental, I don't like girls either, do you want to play with me?"

Li Du immediately locked the doors. Even as the deafening reggae once again filled the cab, he had never been so welcoming of the sound as he had now.

As for Hans, he was truly an animal. There was no sight of him even after an hour had passed.

After a while, Li Du felt somewhat bored as well, so he let out the little bug to experiment and see if he could find out if it had any other abilities.

He believed that the little bug could not only be his avatar but was capable of much more.

The environment of the red-light district was quite bad, so he took out the map on his phone and had a look. He found that he was currently in the north-western corner of Flagstaff. If he went out a bit more, there would be a forest, so he drove in that direction.

These woods were the offshoot of the Grand Canyons National Park, so there were a lot of yellow firs, western hemlock, western yellow pine and American sycamore.

As Li Du exited the pickup, he suddenly heard a weak shout of "meow!"

At first, he didn't pay much attention, but as he had just let out the little bug, he heard another "meow," but this time, it was much louder.

Li Du wasn't much of a fan of cats, but even he could feel that this sound wasn't usual, so he followed it to see if he could find the cause.

After a while, he found the origin of the shout on the branches of a western yellow pine. A brown spotted yellow cat was caught by a hunting trap on its branches, desperately calling out.

That trap had been customized, and one could see its claws digging into the yellow cat. Li Du felt painful just watching the blood gushing out.

After retrieving the little bug, he immediately started climbing the tree. However, it seemed that this cat was terrified of people as it desperately clawed the tree bark trying to get away. In the end, all that did was worsen the wound.

Lu Du wanted to open the trap, but as he neared, the cat immediately swiped its claws and opened its mouth, threateningly hissing at him.

Seeing this, Li Du discarded the thought of opening the trap and instead wrapped the cat in his clothes before driving it to find an animal clinic.

This cat was quite wild, its size nearing that of an adult cat, it had a very fierce temperament. It continued to struggle and hiss even as it was wrapped in the clothes.

As a result, even more, blood was gushing out.

Seeing that, Li Du became really anxious. When he entered the city, he realized that he didn't know the direction of the animal clinic, but he did see the Red Cross St. John Hospital, where he hurried inside with the yellow cat.

Seeing the sight of the gushing blood, a nurse immediately came out asking, "Sir, what's wrong?"

"It's like this, I came across this cat in the forest that was caught in a hunting trap, can you find a doctor to take a look at it?" Li Du asked while unwrapping the cat.

At this, the black nurse gave him a look as if he was insane before replying, "Sir, this isn't an animal hospital."

Li Du was quite resourceful, so when he saw the cross that the nurse wore, he immediately replied, "Yes, I understand, but like us, we are all children of God. Look at how little it is, it still hasn't even seen all the sight of Flagstaff, can you simply stand aside and watch as it dies?"

Hearing this reply, the nurse relented, "Alright, I'll take you to Dr. Sophie. She's the kindest doctor we have, so if even she isn't willing to help, then you'll have to go somewhere else."

"However, according to the rules, we'll have to register all patients, so can I have the name of your cat?"

Hearing Li Du gave her a blank stare, [Nurse sis, are you joking with me? Didn't I say beforehand that I met this cat in the wild?]

"Quickly, its name, I can let it in only after getting its name."

Seeing the meowing cat, Li Du immediately came up with a brilliant name, "Oh he's Ah Meow, yep, Ah Meow!"

"Meow!" Ah, Meow immediately cooperated as it clawed Li Du.

It was clear that it either didn't like Li Du or didn't like its new name.

However, Li Du really cared either way.
