I awoke from my meditation hours after I swallowed the pills. I'd absorbed the pills. Though stable, my cultivation base was bloated. Both my white and black pools of qi were on the edge of advancing. There wasn't time. Unfortunately, a breakthrough would take more time. The sun was in the process of setting.

Cultivation: Qi condensation black/white Peak 9th rank

Multiplier: 30x

Personal battle power 4.2b

It seemed the most qi condensation could give a cultivator was a 15x multiplier. With two qi reservoirs that doubled but it was nothing compared to foundation or pillar level. Breaking into foundation would give me a 10x multiplier over condensation. Pillar would give me a 100x multiplier over the peak of foundation, unless I had no foundation.

Either way, if I wanted to fight in the big leagues, I needed to reach the next stage. There was no time.

It was night when I made it out of my apartment, a chill ran up my spine. I had put dealing with Gan out of my mind. Killing him would only get me in hot water with the black moon sect. It seemed I was screwed almost literally.

Riku couldn't save me from that guy. Od hadn't been able to either. I wanted to see her again before I left. I shook doubt from my mind.

I made my way out the door and found Riku waiting for me. He wore a set of heavy armor beneath talisman covered robes. "Are you ready for this?" I shook my head.

"No, I need another decade at least." A grin appeared on his face.

"We never know when we may die. Its better to face fate head on." Riku said.

I shook my head. "I plan to live." I was dressed in a suit of steel mesh armor with a thick round helmet. A multitude of talismans covered my armor improving my defensive BP by 10x. I also had the deep talisman on my armor. Spells wouldn't be a problem. It was the enemy swords and arrows I worried about. My talismans were all built to defend from enemy magic. I needed to take on the physical side myself.

Atlan had given me a complicated wood Dao. It summoned a fairy of the wood, an elemental spirit of chaos. The best way to deal with those creatures was to point it in a direction and avoid the fallout. It was a Dao created from observing the Green Inferno a naturally occurring grand Dao. Thanks to that place wood was predicted to be a repeat age for a fifth time. That would naturally lead to an age of dark. A reset of the cycle. If that happened things would get very interesting.

Despite my worries, I managed to make my way to the infantry line. I was placed in a squad with two heavily armored centaurs, Riku, and a wood elf. The wood elf was dressed in wooden armor, sported a bow with glowing green arrows, and he had a sword made of wood. "Is it petrified?" I asked the elf. He snorted and raised his nose to me.

"Only a human would believe a wooden sword needed to be petrified to be deadly. No, you ignorant savage, my precious Glifengstein was given to my by a dryad of great heritage. It is said she descended from the world tree herself. Though she is no world tree a sword made from one of her precious branches is more than adequate to slay these pitiable undead." I thumbed my fingers through my beard as I compared lore. I knew little about dryads. There was little lore in the wood fairy Dao scroll.

"How did a seed from the world trees in the Green Inferno volcanic range end up to the north east near an elvish village? I'm Farron by the way. My friends call me Ron. Since we'll be dying together call me Ron." The wood elf narrowed his yellow eyes.

"Farron is a common name in the Equine territories. Though not as common as in the Lunar Steppe. As fortune would have it, I have a similar name, Everon Gordenson. I'm sure the human over there will call me knife ear." He was right, knife ear sounded cooler.

I shook my head. "Melchior Nimrod Od and how far is the Green Inferno from here?" I asked. I was growing more interested in the idea of a world tree or multiple world trees. "Oh, and knife ear is your bow also dryad wood." Ron the centaur seemed ready to pull his flail on me when Riku pulled a spear. Riku's spear started to erupt with lightning and the other squads took notice. Laughter broke out and a betting pool quickly sprung up. Soon they were jeering us to fight.

"Come on elf kill that human for the villages his kind burned down. I'm sure you have family that died in the flames his kind spread. I hope chosen Gan puts them in front." I turned to the squads around us just as a trumpet blew.

Gan trotted up a podium. His powerful qi washed over us with suppressive force. "My fellow cultivators. We are about to embark on a mission to save the Low Port. We are the only force separating, I can't do this." He tossed his jade slip on the ground and groaned. He took a deep breath and looked at us with manic eyes.

"Listen up bitches. You are worthless bags of flesh that are a drain on our resources. I've been charged to ensure your lives are spent in the most productive ways possible. Whether that is dying because I crush your organs with my cock or dying on undead spears is dependent upon my mood. You've been given to me. I'll use you up in any way I see fit. Once we leave this barrier, you're all my property until the undead come to kill us." Gan said with a cruel smile. "Don't worry, you few pretty bitches I've singled out. I'll save you for last."

Great! It seems the mask has dropped completely. This guy was sentenced to die like the rest of us and he's decided to use us until we're all dead. It took little time for us to form into groups and march our way towards the edge of the barrier.

"Hey, I know where we're going." The other centaur in our squad said. We perked up at the news.

"Does this mean my elf ass won't get destroyed by a giant blunt centaur cock before I die?" Everon asked. I looked at the elf to see a glimmer of hope in his eye. Unfortunately, his eyes were dead and only just coming back to life. I knew the feeling.

"I didn't introduce myself before. I'm Sirius Chu, I'm a low-ranking member of the chu clan. Even the human has a higher cultivation base than me. One thing I'm good at is memorizing maps. We're about to go through an old tunnel that will exit out of a root cellar. There is a secret entrance we can take but it won't be much better than staying with Gan.

"Unlike you Sirius, we don't have a centaur's anus." I added.

"Point taken, well there is an old entrance to an abyss outpost. I've heard it was abandoned when underworld wasps made it their nest." So, did we want to get screwed by an ovipositor of a queen wasp or Gan's dick.

"Let's get some of the other squads involved. If all else fails, we can use them as distractions for the wasps while we make our escape. Where does the outpost exit?" I asked.

"A run-down crypt dedicated to a few well known angels of dark. I thought if we had a human, we could gain entrance to it from the outpost." I looked at the other members of my party. Riku met my eyes and nodded.

"Its our best shot. Let's take it." I said.

It didn't take long to get a few of the other squads to go along with us. We followed Gan down the tunnel waiting for our chance to escape. The group reached the barrier and it opened to let us through. Gan stayed behind to ensure we all made it through before the barrier closed behind him. He held a medallion in his hand. More than likely it was the key to the barrier. Gan crushed it both proving my hypothesis and trapping us beyond the barrier.

My breath hitched as the spirit energy from the barrier vanished and was replaced with nothing. The spirit energy I had grown used to was gone. It had all been absorbed by the undead army. This place was dry of it. All I could feel was earth qi. Earth qi filled the air in mass.

I felt a powerful hand tap me on the back. Looking over my shoulder, I saw Gan. A cruel smile played across his face. He had the face of Jon Travolta and Brad Pitt mixed together. His voice was deep like Peter Fonda's. "Did you think, I would forget about you? To think, you were exempt from this mission. Then I bribed the mission's office elder. He was more than willing to sell you out." I shook as he rubbed a hand across my face. "Don't be so anxious, I'm not taking you yet. I have plenty of time to try others before I use you." I felt such force on my cultivation base that I was sealed. I was left with only my physical powers and I was weak. I promised then that if the undead didn't kill this guy, I would. "See you soon." He said before trotting to the front.

We traveled down the halls for a moment before Gan took his first victim. It was a young minotaur. Gan forced him to his knees and mounted him. It took moments for Gan to bloody the minotaurs legs and the screaming srarted. No lube, no prep, and no mercy, Gan raped the minotaur then pulled out leaving the minotuar's blood and cum soaked body on the ground. The minotaur spasmed and struggled. His eyes wide with shock and pain.

I knew then that I had to get the fuck out of here. Talking about it was one thing. The dead eyes of the minotaur were something else.

Halfway from our destination, Sirius moved walked towards a wall and vanished. Everon whispered the the other squads and we began to walk into the wall. I made my way through to see a massive sealed door. Sirius fiddled with the lock and I heard it click before he removed it. The doors opened, and we made our way through. After the last squad made it through the door, we closed the entrance. "How long until he notices? Then how long before he discovers the entrance?" I asked.
