She simply glances at my wolves with condensation in her eyes. Finally, something is going along with the script. Villain with a hubris.
After glancing at my wolves, she looks toward me and smiles at me. This is bad. An enemy smiling is never a good sign.
After smiling she starts to absorb the red miasma surrounding us with abandon into her body. And as she does that everything about her becomes bloody. Her black hair starts to turn red and he already red eyes turn even darker shade of red.
Something is coming. I need to hurry. I charge my gears and approach the barrier, but she isn't doing anything. So, I will my wolves to unleash everything they got at the barrier.
Two white dragons descend upon the barrier.
BOOM!!!
CRACK!!!
Ooh, I love this satisfying boom. As the dust settles, I see the succubus unscathed, but the barrier could be in a worse shape for me to break it. It only cracked. But crack spread all over the barrier. Only consolation is, it is not recovering as fast as the other two. So, with one me I think I can break it.
Looks on her face is so satisfying to look at. There is fear and confusion. I can see right through you. 'It is impossible'.
"HA!"
As she looks at me, I jump as high as I can and reaches the ceiling of the main hall and free fall upon the barrier.
BOOM!
SMASH!
Another satisfying boom. HAHA. This time it breaks properly. I land in front of her and she is looking at me with, unexpectedly, fury.
Her staff pierces through my gut and she lifts me up with it and throws me away. Holy shit. What is that staff made out of?
As I orient myself and look at her, I see her staff absorbing my blood. After that she point her staff to me and big red magic circle forms.
And even bigger lightning streak toward me and hits me.
ZAP!
OOOH. The pain is excruciating. Damn it. As she lifts her staff, I get lifted too. As time passes by seconds, her red lightning starts to burn my body and organs. My world tree failing to keep up reconstruction with the constant destruction.
I got to get out of this dilemma. Or I might really die here. Think, think, think. What can I do to protect myself from this lightning?
Resistance. My armor is a conductor. So, it makes the lightning stronger. So, what I need is insulator. Rubber is a good insulator. But I can find rubber right now. I can only try to use its properties.
Rubber is a good insulator because of it's low density. As dense materials have close atoms and close atoms make it possible for the electrical charge to transfer from one another more effectively.
But I don't have the means to make something with low density. So, that is out. Another way is earthing. No matter how it looks, I'm sure that this red lightning is composed of electricity. So, if I manage to contact with the ground, I can discharge its electrical energy into the ground.
This lightning is destroying me because electrical energy has no outlet.
As soon as I got that idea, I push my mind to the limit and start molding my armor with mana. As I mold it, my armor starts to extend toward the ground from my right feet.
At it extends, other parts of my body get exposed. After few second, it finally touches the ground, but floor of the mansion gets in the way. So, I push it even harder breaking through the floor and extending even longer. After digging into the floor for about a meter, my armor finally contacts ground.
And as soon as it does that, electrical charge wreaking havoc inside my body gets discharged to the earth. It worked. There is still the pain of electricity passing through my body, but it is tolerable. And most important part is that destruction stopped.
My body starts to heal itself. The succubus is surprised that her lightning is no longer killing me. As a last resort she tries to increase the voltage, but it only increases the pain of electrical energy passing through my body.
After minute of struggling she finally stops. My body finishes healing with that. I look to her.
"Is that it?"
"Yes, that is it."
She actually looks sad.
"Don't be hard on yourself. You were unlucky that you fought me. If it was anybody else, you would have fried them."
She sneers at me.
"You think I need your consolation?"
"Hehe, I suppose not."
I start to walk up to her. Suddenly she starts to disintegrating like her sisters. I suppose this is the price of absorbing the red miasma. But she is disintegrating much slower that the other two.
"Can you at least tell me who is behind all this?"
She looks into my eyes. Now that the red is gone, her eyes are as dark as the moonless night. Beautiful.
"Well, I suppose even if I tell you, there isn't much you can do anyway."
It seems she is about the tell me, so, I will let that pass.
"Second prince of the Demonic Kingdom, Albatras is one who is behind all this."
"Does this magic circle do anything beside the barriers?"
"It does."
"What does it do?"
"Guess."
As I asked that she looks at me with mocking gaze and charming smile and vanishes.
That was unnecessary mean. And to think I though she was beautiful. HA!

Just as she disappeared, mansion starts to shake and the magic circle on the floor starts to disappear. Well, she did say that she is the one who was fueling this circle. And now that she is gone, it is reasonable that the circle would vanish too.
But problem is: mansion might vanish with the circle too. As soon as I got that I run to the windows and break through them and exit the house. As soon as I got out the house starts to crumble.
Along with the house red circle in the sky and the barrier surrounding the city vanishes too. Now that is taken care of, I think I will head to the castle. I'm pretty sure that the prince is there.
