Since the Mu family gave him half of Mu Sisi’s shares, he had no choice but to keep his promise. He decided to step into the limelight and face the burden with Mu Sisi.
That afternoon, Gao Jingqiu showed up at the Mu’s family home.
When his car approached the house, the reporters recognized his BMW’s plate number.

“Mr. Gao, it took you a day to finally show up here. Have you made a decision?”
“Do you plan to maintain your marriage with Miss Mu? Or did you come to discuss a divorce with her?”
“Rumors are saying that Miss Mu married you hurriedly because of that incident. What’s your opinion?”
Gao Jingqiu walked to the entrance of the building and halted. He turned around and said to the reporters, “I came here today to bring my wife home. After that incident, my father-in-law and mother-in-law brought her back to their house immediately to protect her. In the meantime, we are investigating the incident. That was why I waited until now to come here. Since I married Sisi, I have a duty to go through thick and thin together with her. I am not going to divorce her just because of this trivial matter.”
“So you’re planning to forgive Miss Mu?” a reporter asked.
“There is nothing to forgive. Sisi is a victim, and someone drugged her before our wedding day. That was what happened. That person even took photos and videos without her knowledge. “I didn’t know about it before our wedding, but even if I knew, what could I have done? If I blamed her for something that is beyond her control, am I still a man? In these incidents, women are the ones who hurt the most. She didn’t wish for this to happen. Since I’m her husband now, it’s my duty to go through this burden with her. We will get through this crisis together. I do not care about what happened before our marriage, but I care about what happens now.”
“I am here to bring her home today, and I hope that you will all refrain from disturbing her again with regards to this incident. This is cruel behavior. Sisi had already been hurt, and she needs care and encouragement from others the most. She does not need anyone to rub salt onto her wound or make use of her to write news articles.”
“But in the videos, Miss Mu was calling Mr. Qi’s name constantly. It’s obvious that she still could not let go of him. According to our investigation, that incident happened not long before the wedding. It is possible that Miss Mu still loves Mr. Qi deeply? Mr. Gao, would you mind it if that’s the case?”
Gao Jingqiu gave the reporter who asked the question a cold stare. He frowned scornfully and said, “Everyone has a person that they hold dear in their heart, a person that they could never forget. “Everyone knows that she liked Qi Chengzhi. I knew about that before we were wedded. However, I am confident that I could make her forget about him after the wedding. Mu Sisi was not aware of what Gao Jingjiu had said since his speech was not broadcasted live. When Gao Jingqiu came into the house, she was still hiding in her bedroom.
Gao Jingqiu was rude to Fang Anci when he saw her, and he said to her coolly, “I am here for Mu Sisi.” His behavior was totally different than when he was in front of the reporters.
Fang Anci knew about the transfer of the shares, so she did not invite him to sit down. She quietly walked toward Mu Sisi’s bedroom.
When Mu Sisi found out that Gao Jingqiu was there, she shrieked, “Why did he come? I’m not going with him!”
“Do you think that I wanted to bring you back?” They did not realize that Gao Jingqiu was standing at the doorway to her bedroom, and he stared at her with contempt. “I didn’t know that you had such lust in you. Usually, you would just lie under me like a dead fish. You must have been so horny when you imagined the guy to be Qi Chengzhi. Even the pornstars are not as brilliant and as aggressive as you have been.”
“Gao Jingqiu!” Fang Anci shouted. “What nonsense are your sprouting! If this is how you treat Sisi when I’m standing right here, what is your attitude toward her when I’m not around?!”
“I didn’t divorce her, not even when she was so horny with another man. I’m even helping her now. Therefore, I think that I have been treating her well enough.” Gao Jingqiu snorted.
Mu Sisi took a small mirror on the dressing table and threw it at Gao Jingqiu. “I bought that with my share. Get lost! I’m not going with you!”
“Suit yourself, but if you want this incident to pass sooner rather than later, you had better listen to me.” Gao Jingqiu shrugged in indifference as he did not really care about her future.
Fang Anji pulled a long face and said frigidly, “Please go out first. I want to talk to Sisi.”
Gao Jingqiu shrugged again, and then he left the room.
Fang Anci closed the door behind her. Gao Jingqiu did not know what she said to Mu Sisi, but about half an hour later, Mu Sisi came out of her room obediently. Even though she still had a long face and she glared at Gao Jingqiu furiously, she followed him home.
Gao Jingqiu snorted in disdain and walked out of the door first. He did not care whether Mu Sisi followed him or not. When they were in the elevator, they still did not talk to each other.
When the elevator reached the ground floor, and the door was just about to open, Gao Jingqiu grabbed Mu Sisi’s hand. Before Mu Sisi could react, Gao Jingqiu had already walked out of the elevator with her hand in his.
Mu Sisi could only follow his lead and started the pretense after she saw the number of reporters who waited outside of the building.
As they walked out of the building, the reporters immediately surrounded them. Amidst the chaos, Mu Sisi lowered her head, and then she felt Gao Jingqiu embraced her shoulder to shield her body from the onslaught. At that time, she thought that Gao Jingqiu had a firm and solid chest, and that led her to the misconception that she could rely on him.
“Miss Mu, can you tell us about the identity of that guy?”
“Miss Mu, would this incident affect your marriage with Mr. Gao?”
“Miss Mu, did you marry Mr. Gao in a hurry because of this incident?”
“Miss Mu, why did that guy carry you to the hotel that day?”

The events that happened between the Mu family and the Gao family did not affect Qi Chengzhi and Song Yu. After Qi Chengzhi handed over his work, they had plans to go to Greece with Cheng Dongge and Qi Chengyue for their honeymoon.
Before they left, they sent Little Youjin to Xia Wenna’s house. They had prepared Song Yu’s breast milk and infant formula for the baby. They could only travel for one week because Qi Chenglin could not handle the double duties for an extended period.
