Qi Chenglin looked through the menu casually, then he asked her spontaneously, “Is there anything that you don’t like to eat?”
“I’m okay with anything, I’m not picky.” Ruan Danchen felt awkward because she was unwittingly dragged out for lunch by him.

Qi Chenglin sneered. “Less than what I imagined.”
“Told you, I’m really not a picky eater,” mumbled Ruan Danchen with a weak voice.
Qi Chenglin raised his eyebrows and looked at her with a smile. “What flavor do you like the most?”
“I like spicy food,” answered Ruan Danchen hurriedly, she did not want to embarrass herself in front of the waiter again.
She could feel that Qi Chenglin was very satisfied with her reply. The contentment in his eyes became more apparent, he ordered several spicy dishes and asked the waiter to serve them quickly.
It was already half-past twelve when the dishes were served. Ruan Danchen was already starving and the tastes of the dishes were to her liking, so she quite enjoyed the meal despite Qi Chenglin’s presence.

She stopped about half a step behind Qi Chenglin, and she looked away diffidently. She dared not look into his eyes because she felt that it was extremely embarrassing to be caught staring just now.
She heard Qi Chenglin’s typical mocking voice from above her head. “You’re not my subordinate, why are you behaving like my attendant?”

Ruan Danchen was clutching her handbag’s strap tightly, she felt incredibly confused. Apart from the spicy taste of the food she had just now, she could only taste Qi Chenglin’s odor in her mouth. Besides, the car was filled with the fragrance of his perfume and it caused her to be unable to slow her heartbeat.
“Here we are.” She heard Qi Chenglin’s indifferent voice.
Ruan Danchen collected her thoughts and realized that he had stopped his car in front of Chengshi.
She lowered her head, and her hands were trembling. She frantically unfastened her seatbelt. When she wanted to get out of the car, he grabbed her arm with his warm hand

“Goodbye,” said Ruan Danchen quietly. She turned her body around to open the door, but he pulled her back in again.
At that moment, there was not even enough time for her to look at him before she was pushed against the door. Then, he leaned into her. One of his hands supported her back and the other hand held the back of her head, then he kissed her lips.
He could feel a fire burning in his private part, it was so hot that he felt like his whole body was aflame. He truly wished he could have sex with her in the car straight away. He did not know how long he could control himself.
Ruan Danchen felt like he had sucked away all the air in the car. She was quivering in his arms and she felt like her body had melted. She could smell the fresh scent of his breath and it was intoxicating. She felt like she had been drugged. She felt elated and aroused.

However, his arms were still placed on her body and she was still pushed against the door. Ruan Danchen dared not move.
“Changed your mind?” He raised his eyebrows and rubbed his lips against the corner of her mouth. He laughed attractively with his deep voice.
Ruan Danchen was speechlessly enticed by his voice, she stuttered, “You… you have to let go of me so that I can get out.”
Qi Chenglin paused.

“Young Master Lin!” shouted Director Zhao in astonishment. “Why are you here?”
Qi Chenglin glanced at Director Zhao nonchalantly. He still appeared calm and collected. He said with a cool voice, “I’m just passing by. I stopped my car to rest for a while.”
Director Zhao could not help but feel disappointed that he was not here to discuss business deals with Chengshi.
However, no one in Chengshi was close to Qi Chenglin.
“Then I shall not disturb you. If there is anything that I can help with, Young Master Lin can just call me directly,” said Director Zhao with a smile, he hurriedly took out a business card from his pocket and handed it to Qi Chenglin.
Qi Chenglin took the card and looked at it, Director Zhao’s number was on it.
“Sure.” Qi Chenglin nodded seriously, it seemed like he said it with intent.

Qi Chenglin was startled for a while. “I… Cough!”

“Do you like spicy food?” asked Ruan Danchen suspiciously. “You don’t need to put up with me if you don’t enjoy spicy food. All the dishes you ordered were spicy.”

Qi Chenglin ended up just staring at her while he ate, and for the majority of the meal, he just stared at her. As a result, he had only eaten a small portion of food.
Ruan Danchen felt extremely uncomfortable with his stare. She ate slower and slower as she became stressed.
As a result of his stare, she felt like she was suddenly already full even though she was initially quite hungry.
Ruan Danchen laid down her chopsticks. Her scalp felt numb due to his stare. “I’m full.”
Qi Chenglin raised his eyebrows. She obviously ate much less than she wanted judging from the way she relished the food in the beginning. Qi Chenglin smiled confidently and checked the time. He said, “I’ll send you back to Chengshi.”
After saying that, he got up from his seat and walked toward the exit. Ruan Danchen followed him and stared at his long and straight back nervously and suspiciously. Her heart strangely began beating faster, and she was blushing.
After they exited the restaurant, Qi Chenglin suddenly stopped in his tracks. He turned his head around unexpectedly and he managed to catch Ruan Danchen’s expression when she was gazing at him absent-mindedly. It seemed like she was infatuated with him.
He raised his eyebrows proudly and stared deeply at Ruan Danchen with his bright ebony eyes, Ruan Danchen immediately blushed and swiftly averted her gaze, but she made it more conspicuous when she tried to hide her feelings.
She stopped about half a step behind Qi Chenglin, and she looked away diffidently. She dared not look into his eyes because she felt that it was extremely embarrassing to be caught staring just now.
She heard Qi Chenglin’s typical mocking voice from above her head. “You’re not my subordinate, why are you behaving like my attendant?”
Ruan Danchen was stunned for a while, becoming slightly infuriated. She raised her head, wanting to retort. However, she found that he had leaned toward her, and his body now almost touching hers. He lowered his head and looked down at her.
When she looked up, her forehead rubbed against his lips, and she felt her face burning.
Ruan Danchen blushed furiously and was left dumbfounded. She retreated immediately as if she was scalded. However, he had embraced her with his long arms, encircling her waist. She was unable to retreat and saw him lower his head even more—his gleaming eyes were staring at her lips. Ruan Danchen felt her whole body become blazing hot and she forgot how to breathe—unknowingly holding her breath.
Qi Chenglin’s stared at Ruan Danchen’s lips with intensity. They were slightly swollen because of the spicy food she ate. Her cherry-red lips looked extremely soft and mesmerizing.
He lowered his head straight away and kissed her lips without hesitation. He stuck his lips onto hers and began to wildly rub them against her lips. The moment his lips touched hers, he threw out the idea of pecking her gently and inserted his tongue into her mouth.
His arms held her tightly, and he instinctively stretched his tongue deeper in. Ruan Danchen was quivering in his arms and she put her arms softly on his chest. She was unable to resist his kiss and responded to his advances submissively.
After quite a while, Qi Chenglin took a deep breath and let go of her lips.
He anticipated that Ruan Danchen would be too weak to stand, so he did not withdraw his arms and let her rest in his arms. He lowered his head and saw her face had turned as red as a peach.
He rubbed the tips of his nose and lips against her face. He could smell the pleasant scent of her skin as well as the heat emanating from her, and he could not help but sniff her body.
He used the tips of his nose to rub against her hairline and ears, while his lips rubbed against her delicate skin.
Ruan Danchen was stupefied, she did not respond to him and remained in his arms.
After a while, Qi Chenglin finally let go of her, otherwise, they would never have left Dynasty.
Ruan Danchen dared not raise her head. She started to inhale some air and her brain slowly started to function again. She realized that they were still standing in the corridor of the restaurant. She stood there and let him kiss her, it was too bold!
Didn’t he know how to be low-profile?
Besides, what had she done that caused him to think that he could treat her like that? That he could hug and kiss her as he liked it!
When she was just about to reproach him for his actions, her body was turned around by Qi Chenglin’s arm and pulled forward by him as they walked.
Immediately after she turned her body around, she saw Li Zhuoan who was standing with a waiter just a few steps in front of them. They were stunned and stared at them in disbelief.
Even though the waiter of Dynasty was well-trained, he was not calm at all at that moment.
Li Zhuoan was especially shocked.
Most of the people who came to Dynasty were quite distinguished, even though some of them were not so well-distinguished, they would try their best to avoid losing face at Dynasty because of the setting of the restaurant. No one would make out here because they would want to maintain their positive image.
For the waiter and Li Zhuoan, they least expected Qi Chenglin would be the one making out with a woman in public. This was because he has never been caught in any scandals with other women before—especially because he has been single for many years. He has maintained a positive image over the years and not dated anyone. Some gossipy people even worried that he suffered from a medical ailment because he has abstained from sex for too long.
However, they now unexpectedly saw him hugging a woman and kissing her, totally oblivious of his surroundings.
They saw that Qi Chenglin had hugged and kissed that woman so ferociously, he should have just carried her into a room and threw himself at her.
If anyone had witnessed that scene just now with their own eyes, they would never suspect that Qi Chenglin had any medical ailments.
Ruan Danchen was blushing, she felt like her head was going to explode. She wished she could choke Qi Chenglin to death—she was extremely embarrassed.
She felt deeply ashamed of herself, but Qi Chenglin dragged her toward Li Zhuoan.
“Young Master Lin,” said Li Zhuoan as he tried to calm down with great difficulty. However, he still stole a curious glance at Ruan Danchen.
Qi Chenglin nodded, not embarrassed at all. He calmly introduced her to Li Zhuoan with a calm expression. “Ruan Danchen.”
Li Zhuoan immediately stared at her differently, Ruan Danchen was unsure whether she misread his stare or not because she felt that he exhibited respect in his stare.
“Miss Ruan.” Li Zhuoan called her name respectfully.
Qi Chenglin was satisfied with Li Zhuoan’s attitude toward her. He nodded coolly and left the restaurant with Ruan Danchen.
Ruan Danchen was still bewildered when he brought her to his car. They had already nearly reached Chengshi when she finally came to her senses.
Ruan Danchen was clutching her handbag’s strap tightly, she felt incredibly confused. Apart from the spicy taste of the food she had just now, she could only taste Qi Chenglin’s odor in her mouth. Besides, the car was filled with the fragrance of his perfume and it caused her to be unable to slow her heartbeat.
“Here we are.” She heard Qi Chenglin’s indifferent voice.
Ruan Danchen collected her thoughts and realized that he had stopped his car in front of Chengshi.
She lowered her head, and her hands were trembling. She frantically unfastened her seatbelt. When she wanted to get out of the car, he grabbed her arm with his warm hand
She turned around and looked at him nervously. Qi Chenglin said with his husky voice, “Not going to say goodbye to me?”
“Goodbye,” said Ruan Danchen quietly. She turned her body around to open the door, but he pulled her back in again.
At that moment, there was not even enough time for her to look at him before she was pushed against the door. Then, he leaned into her. One of his hands supported her back and the other hand held the back of her head, then he kissed her lips.
He could feel a fire burning in his private part, it was so hot that he felt like his whole body was aflame. He truly wished he could have sex with her in the car straight away. He did not know how long he could control himself.
Ruan Danchen felt like he had sucked away all the air in the car. She was quivering in his arms and she felt like her body had melted. She could smell the fresh scent of his breath and it was intoxicating. She felt like she had been drugged. She felt elated and aroused.
If he wanted to have sex with her right then, she felt that she would not be able to refuse.
She felt his thin, warm lips rubbing against her lips before slowly moving toward her earlobe and then to the side of her neck. She felt itchy and numb and felt as if she had no control over herself anymore.
Suddenly, he stopped moving. His lips still stuck on the side of her soft and delicate neck. His face was buried in the pit of her neck. His breath was making her skin felt extremely itchy.
“Qi Chenglin,” shouted Ruan Danchen helplessly.
Qi Chenglin took a deep breath and withdrew his face. He pinched her back and relaxed his arms. “You can go now.”
However, his arms were still placed on her body and she was still pushed against the door. Ruan Danchen dared not move.
“Changed your mind?” He raised his eyebrows and rubbed his lips against the corner of her mouth. He laughed attractively with his deep voice.
Ruan Danchen was speechlessly enticed by his voice, she stuttered, “You… you have to let go of me so that I can get out.”
Qi Chenglin paused.
He kissed her forcibly as if to punish her for saying something wrong. He sucked her lips until they were swollen, then he released her without uttering a word.
Ruan Danchen hurriedly got out the car. This time, Qi Chenglin did not pull her back into the car.
Qi Chenglin looked at her figure as she frantically ran away from him. He stopped staring at her when she entered the elevator with a crowd that had just returned from their afternoon lunch break.
He lowered his head and looked at his protruding zipper and laughed softly as he was in a good mood.
This feeling was pretty good.
He could not drive a car in this state, so he took out a box of cigarettes. He put a cigarette between his lips and lit it.
He took a puff of it and lowered his head to stare at his private part again. He thought that it would be perfect if he could release it by taking it out completely.
When he recalled the feeling of her soft body when Ruan Danchen was in his arms and the feeling of her hugging him tightly, the heat that was burning inside of him became stronger.
He really wished he could rush into her office and drag her out of it so he could take her back home immediately!

When Director Zhao returned to the office building after his lunch, he noticed a Benz was stopped on the roadside when he was just about to enter the building and found it to be familiar.
He slowed down his footsteps and looked around him. He pretended like he was going about his day and snuck to the front of the Benz from behind.
Then he turned his head and looked into the car and he saw Qi Chenglin resting his elbow on the window. He was holding a cigarette with his fingertips and took a puff of it with his eyes narrowed.
“Young Master Lin!” shouted Director Zhao in astonishment. “Why are you here?”
Qi Chenglin glanced at Director Zhao nonchalantly. He still appeared calm and collected. He said with a cool voice, “I’m just passing by. I stopped my car to rest for a while.”
Director Zhao could not help but feel disappointed that he was not here to discuss business deals with Chengshi.
However, no one in Chengshi was close to Qi Chenglin.
“Then I shall not disturb you. If there is anything that I can help with, Young Master Lin can just call me directly,” said Director Zhao with a smile, he hurriedly took out a business card from his pocket and handed it to Qi Chenglin.
Qi Chenglin took the card and looked at it, Director Zhao’s number was on it.
“Sure.” Qi Chenglin nodded seriously, it seemed like he said it with intent.
Director Zhao was overwhelmed with joy after hearing Qi Chenglin’s response and he left.
After a cigarette, Qi Chenglin’s fire had almost completely disappeared. He started his car and left.

Ruan Danchen bumped into Yang Yunshu unexpectedly after she walked out of the elevator.
When Yang Yunshu saw her appearance, she gave her a suspicious stare. Her hair was messy, and her lips were very swollen. Her cheeks were red, and her eyes were smiling joyfully. She guessed that Ruan Danchen had just finished making love with someone a while ago.
“Ruan Danchen, why are your lips so swollen?” asked Yang Yunshu suspiciously.
Ruan Danchen was lost for words, she did not have time to look in a mirror. She recalled that Qi Chenglin kissed her many times on the way here. She was unaware of how her lips looked like after being repeatedly kissed by him. She quickly pursed her lips and said, “I had Sichuan cuisine 1 for lunch, that’s why my lips are numb and swollen.”
“Really?” Yang Yunshu stared at her skeptically. “You went to meet with a client in the morning?”
“Yeah, what’s wrong with that?” asked Ruan Danchen coldly.
She knew that recently, Yang Yunshu frequently came to the design department because Song Yu was not around. She was planning to find an opportunity to return to the design department, therefore, she has lingered in the design department and gossiped about others whenever she was free for the past few days.
“Nothing wrong.” Yang Yunshu sneered at her scornfully and she snorted. “I was wondering why your lips appear swollen just now because I don’t know you had Sichuan cuisine. I thought you ate something else.”
Ruan Danchen was not an innocent little girl anymore. Although she only had that experience once when she did it with Qi Chenglin, it lasted for a whole night. Besides, she read news about those matters before and the married staff in the office did not feel embarrassed talking about them at all. As a result, she overheard them talking about those matters a lot and she could easily take a hint.
Recently, the number of her clients had almost reduced by half, and Yang Yunshu always poked fun at her with sarcastic remarks when she came to the design department. Yang Yunshu was hostile toward her because she was close to Song Yu.
Was Yang Yunshu implying that she offering sex to clients to increase her business?
Ruan Danchen clenched her teeth furiously and she said frigidly, “Yang Yunshu, if you want to comment on anything, just say it directly, you don’t need to mock or sneer at me. If you have any proof, just show it, don’t gossip about me and tarnish my name without any evidence.”
“What did I say? Tell me, what sarcastic comments did I make about you?” Yang Yunshu raised her voice and crossed her arms. She laughed coldly. “I did not say anything sarcastic, maybe you misunderstood my words? If you aren’t guilty, why would you misunderstand my words? You’re the one who is involved in filthy matters, don’t accuse me of giving you a bad name!”
“Yang Yunshu, you know who the one with shady intentions is. Have you forgotten the reason you were transferred to another department to work as an ordinary clerk? If you really want to return to the design department, you should apologize sincerely and correct your attitude. Stop thinking about those dirty ideas and focus on your work. You don’t need to come here and provoke me every day. Do you think that I will leave just because of your offensive words so that you can return to this department?” said Ruan Danchen disdainfully, she felt that Yang Yunshu was slowly slipping into evil.
She was a dishonest person, and she had chosen to invest her effort in the wrong way. She never thought of working hard to excel in her work, instead, she kept thinking of ways to make use of men to gain success.
Didn’t she know that it always ends up badly that way?
She envied other people, but she did not know that she would be unable to outdo everyone as there were some rare exceptional talents around her.
“You…” Yang Yunshu’s expression turned angry. “Ruan Danchen, don’t be so proud of yourself. You think that you are close to the Qi family because you managed to get close to Song Yu? Song Yu’s not around now, and no one in the Qi family cares about whether you’re alive or dead. Stop acting like a good person, you’re a pretentious bitch. “My work is my business, I’ll take responsibility whether it’s good or bad. I never think of relying on anybody,” replied Ruan Danchen bluntly. “I’m friends with Song Yu, but I never planned to make use of her or ask for any help from her when we became friends.”
“Do you know what I hate the most about you?” said Yang Yunshu as she stared at Ruan Danchen contemptuously. “I hate you because you always act like you’re a righteous person. It’s as if nobody is as righteous as you. So pretentious.”
After she said that, Yang Yunshu turned around and walked toward her office.
Ruan Danchen was trembling from anger as she rushed to the rooftop to calm herself down, feeling the wind brushing her face. After a while, she went back to the office when she felt that her lips were no longer as swollen, and her face would appear normal.

At night, after Qi Chenglin entered his house, Aunt Zheng helped take his bag. Then Qi Chenglin bent his body to untie his shoelaces and changed into slippers. Qi Youxuan dashed toward him immediately after he found out he was back.
“Dad, why did you ask someone to empty my playroom! Nothing is left in it now!” shouted Qi Youxuan as he furiously put his hands on his hips.
He habitually rushed to the playroom as usual when he returned from kindergarten today but unexpectedly saw a heartbreaking scene when he reached the doorway of the playroom.
He did not know when the workers came and removed the cupboards and cabinets in his playroom. When he reached home, they were removing the wallpaper.
Qi Youxuan burst with anger on the spot and asked them what they were doing.
Aunt Yang hurriedly rushed to the playroom and explained that Qi Chenglin asked them to come. They came at around two o’clock and his toys were alright. They kept his toys temporarily in the guest room, they were neither thrown away nor broken.
However, Qi Youxuan was still worried, and he was shocked. Could it be that his father emptied his playroom and would never let him have one in the future?

“Your playroom has been there since you were born, almost six years have passed. Aren’t you bored of it?” Qi Chenglin went upstairs and walked into his bedroom. He removed his necktie and threw it onto the sofa, then he took off his suit as well.
Qi Youxuan followed him into his bedroom. He was still shaking his head.
Qi Chenglin glimpsed at his son scornfully who he suspected to have a lower than average IQ. He said nonchalantly, “Your Aunt Ruan is a designer, she specializes in interior design.”
Qi Youxuan still could not get the hint. After thinking for a while, his eyes which appeared to be dispirited suddenly glowed brightly. He excitedly hugged one of Qi Chenglin’s long legs tightly, raised his head and ask, “Dad, are you going to ask Aunt Ruan to help us design the playroom?”
Qi Chenglin snorted softly, he appeared to be pleased with himself.
“Dad, you’re the best! Please quickly ask someone to tear down my playroom further!” From Qi Youxuan’s expression, it seemed like he wished his house was demolished so that Ruan Danchen could re-design every part of it again from the floor to the roof.
“That will do,” said Qi Chenglin as he changed into his leisurewear.
Qi Youxuan agreed with him after thinking about it. His playroom was completely empty with four bare walls. He rubbed his little belly against the long legs of Qi Chenglin. “So, Dad, have you considered asking someone to empty my bedroom too? I want to sleep in a room designed by Aunt Ruan.”
Qi Chenglin raised his eyebrows and looked around his bedroom quietly. He felt that the color tone of his room was quite cool as if something was missing.
“I have a dinner party tomorrow night. I’ll talk to her the next day,” said Qi Chenglin.
“That’s great!” Qi Youxuan was overjoyed, he turned around and went downstairs for dinner.
He felt that his father was finally enlightened by him, and that his great grandmother and grandmother did not need to worry about whether he would get married or not anymore.

At night, Ruan Danchen laid on her bed. She was tossing and turning because she felt agitated.
When she closed her eyes, she could see him hugging and kissing her. He could see his face leaning toward her—his eyes, nose, and mouth appeared so close to her.
She had already taken a shower, but her body was still hot. She could vividly remember the feeling of him touching her skin with his hands and lips. Even his odor seemed to linger around her, and she was unable to get rid of it.
He kissed and hugged her thoughtlessly, but she could not tell what his opinion of her was.
At first, she thought that he would at least text her, but it was already late—she was yet to receive any news from him.
Ruan Danchen took her cell phone from the bedside cabinet and looked at the time. It was already a quarter past eleven.
She was unable to describe her feelings now. She felt uncomfortable, but in reality, she did not truly understand what her opinion of Qi Chenglin was.
She only knew that she would become nervous whenever he came near her.

When she was just about to put her phone back onto the bedside cabinet, it suddenly rang. She was shocked by it and hesitated for a while.
She looked at her phone again and saw Qi Chenglin’s name on the screen. Ruan Danchen was very nervous, she did not know what she to do. She was unhappy when he did not contact her. However, when he finally did call, she was at a loss.
She turned over her body and laid on her side. She answered the call after her phone rang for a while and almost mistakenly hung upon him.
“Why did it take you so long to pick up my call?” Qi Chenglin’s voice was cool and steady, but it felt like he was complaining.
“I was sleeping,” answered Ruan Danchen softly. She pulled her blanket to cover her neck. She buried her pointed chin below the blanket.
“Really?” Qi Chenglin was sitting on his bed. His blanket was covering his lower body. His attractive six-pack and V-cut abdominal muscles could be seen, they were overwhelmingly attractive.
When he heard Ruan Danchen’s voice, he could picture her lying on her bed, and he was a little aroused by it.
Ruan Danchen was feeling inexplicably uncomfortable. She curled her body under the blanket and replied to him, “Mhm.”
“I’m lying on my bed too.” Qi Chenglin’s deep and husky voice was transmitted through the phone and it penetrated her ears like strands of threads—it was extremely seductive.
Ruan Danchen regretted answering his call while lying on the bed because it felt like something was going on between them. Her heart was beating wildly. Initially, she could not sleep because she was feeling agitated. After being teased by him, she curled up her body into a ball. She felt like she could not resist his tease.
“Are you wearing any clothes under the blanket?” Ruan Danchen was fidgety when she heard Qi Chenglin suddenly ask her with his husky voice.
“Qi Chenglin!” shouted Ruan Danchen. When did men start asking questions like this!
