"Of course I am! Jun Fan, even if you are far stronger than me, all is equal beneath the law. You better listen to me otherwise things may be quite messy."

Jun Fan simply nodded not speaking a single word. Seeing that he was complying, Xiao Lang waved his hands at his men to scatter. The men scoured around looking everywhere making sure they missed nothing. Dozens of men were tied up and carried onto a carriage. Not a single man was spared. The process was long as a majority of them where knocked unconscious by Chilong. While this was happening, Xin Fan and the rest were being interrogated.

"You say that you're name is Xin Fan?"

"Yes. From Dragon Root Academy."

Xiao Lang frowned for a moment as if he remembered something.

"You don't happen to be a first year do you?"

Xin Fan tilted his head for a moment before nodding.

"If I wasn't a civil servant I would beat you up right now."

"Huh,Why?"

"I heard you made my precious niece cry. I even offered to teach you lesson back then. Now she wouldn't even talk to me."

Xiao Long became a bit moody. His emotions shifted from serious, to happy then to depressed in a short span of a minute. After a moment of contemplating, Xin Fan finally realized what Xiao Lang was talking about. Ah...So he is Xiao Yu's uncle. He must be talking about back then when she challenged me.

"I'm sorry."

"You better be...What happens if she never talks to me again," said the captain as he puffed up his chest.

Before long the men were rounded up and they were loaded up onto the carriage. All of the children who were still remaining had their cuffs removed. They were also loaded onto the carriage to be taken back to the station.

"Well, These men are going to be locked away for good. Got to go now."

Xiao Lang slowly climbed on to the carriage before turning back to Jun Fan.

"Oh right before I forget. Jun Fan, I need you to be at the station by midnight. For reasons you are very familiar with."

He hopped on the carriage and rode off to the distance. Now all that was left was Xin Fan, Jun Fan, Xiao Xing and Chilong. Xiao Xing was not taken away as they just assumed that she was with Xin Fan from the way she was gripping onto his shirt. Xin Fan turned to Jun Fan.

"So what now?"

Jun Fan gave a gentle smile and said the words that Xin Fan hasn't heard for a long time.

"Of course we go back to school."

Jun Fan extended out his arm with Xin Fan and Xiao Xing wrapped around his left and Chilong around his right. From Xin Fan's point of view, everything came and went like a flash. One moment he was at lot 41 and the next he was back at school. He dropped off the kids at the infirmary to get their bodies checked. As usual, Yang Bing was still the only one there to check up on them.

"This burn mark...Looks quite familiar."

She took out an ointment from the drawer and started to apply to the spot. Xin Fan squealed for a moment as he felt the cold paste touch his skin. His back still had the residual pain from the branding but that was all gone when the paste was applied. The results were immediate as his burnt skin started to stretch and smooth out. All the cuts that he had previously gotten were all healing. As this was happening, Xin Fan thought of the teacher. If this thing exists, why does Teacher Jun still have that mark?

-

"Headmaster I am back!"

Jun Fan cheerily entered the room with a spear still attached to his back. The principal was sitting there calmly drinking a cup of tea.

"So you succeeded."

"Indeed."

"You know what to do."

"Fine."

Principal Yao handed over a orb that was sitting on the desk. Jun Fan put his palm over it and injected qi into the orb. Almost immediately the orb shot out a chain aimed directly at him. The chain entered his body as if the skin wasn't even there and coiled around something inside. Almost immediately, Jun Fan felt a drop in cultivation. He couldn't even muster a projection of his spirit. After trying his best he sighed and let things be. After all, this was part of the contract that he signed so long ago. He took off the spear from his back and threw it over to Principal Yao.

"You wouldn't mind putting this away for me right?"

The principal simply nodded his head and waved him goodbye.

Somewhere Inside the City

"Beast Master. The bear has failed. He was killed by an Ex Joker"

A man with a lion tattoo bowed at a man playing darts. He was aiming at three targets simultaneously and landing on the bullseye every time.

"Of course he would. I never really trusted him in the first place."

He threw a dart at the exact spot his previous dart landed knocking it off the board.

"Hah...Whatever. Lion just get another refinement realm fodder to replace him. He can be the new bear."

"Very well."

The man with the lion tattoo left leaving the beast master all alone with his darts.

"Ex Joker eh? I wonder if he is any fun."

-

"Xiao Xing, I think you should live with Uncle Xu."

"B...But."

"Don't worry, I will make sure the school takes care of him. And besides Xiong Dazhan is now gone so he probably won't be harassed."

"But still..."

Xiao Xing looked quite torn from being separated with Xin Fan. Even so, as much as he wanted to take care of Xiao Xing personally, he simply couldn't. Xin Fan believed that the best course of action is to make her live with a relative, someone she actually knew rather than a person she met for a week.

"Don't be like that. I can still visit you. Uncle Xu's house isn't that far."

The girl gave up trying to convince him otherwise. At this point, she knew that if Xin Fan decided on something, he would stick to it till the end.

The two slowly exited the gates to head over to Uncle Xu's house. From the last time he visited, the house seemed a bit newer with new furniture and everything, although this is probably because everything old was broken. When Uncle Xu saw his niece, he almost dropped everything. You could just see the tears of joy as he saw the girl he thought he had lost holding Xin Fan's hands. As Xin Fan narrated the story, Uncle Xu's expression became solemn.

"So this is what happened."

He didn't seemed as aggrieved as he found out of Xiao Xing's kidnapping. Instead, he felt a sense of connection between him and his nephew. He knew that had he been in that situation, he would have done the same. Instead of grieving, he simply looked up at the sky with a proud expression seemingly approving of his nephews actions.

"There was a third option after all."
