Tobias looked at the couple and smiled. "Right this way then." He carried one menu and lead them to the table. He watched as Leo pulled out Kitty's chair and then placed the menu in front of her. "There are a few specials today but since they contain seafood I wouldn't recommend them for you. I do hope that you are able to find something that you would like and if you need anything feel free to flag me down. Do you know what you would like to drink?"
Kitty looked at the teas. "I would like to try chamomile tea. Something new that is caffeine-free and also could I get a glass of pineapple juice?"
"I'll get the usual." Leo had sat down across from Kitty and was watching her as she looked at the drinks in the menu.
"Okay, I will be back with your drinks shortly." Tobias walked to the counter and started to grind the coffee beans for Leo's coffee and the placed the beans in a cone filter over the coffee mug. Slowly he poured the boiling hot water. It slowly dripped down as he waiting for the coffee to filter he set up the tea in a see-through glass pot and he placed the chamomile flowers in and the rest of the ingredients in the pot then he added to hot water and placed the lid on top. Once the water was done dripping he added more water to the filter. He continued this process until the mug was full and started a second mug. Tobias took the tea pot and a tea cup and saucer to the table. He placed it in front of Kitty then went back and grabbed the coffee and a glass of pineapple juice. "I will be at the counter wave at me when you are ready to order food."
Kitty looks at the tea pot in wonder. "This is beautiful. I will let it steep a little longer and decide on what I am going to eat." She picks up the menu and looks at all the different sandwiches. "Hmmmmmm. There are so many options. I look forward to being able to eat seafood again."
"I would go with the sandwich tier set. It has cookies and desserts as well as sandwiches and it's a mix of everything and it will go well with the tea you got." Leo looked at her expression. 'I wish that she could easily make choices but I understand that it takes time to get used to a new place but I will help her when she seems to be struggling.'
"I was looking at those and thought that it might be too much food but I guess I could take to baked goodies home with me. I think I will go with the strawberry set." Kitty smiles and then closes the menu.
"The strawberry set is what I thought you might like. I ate that a few times from here as it reminded me of you and our first meeting and our first meal together.
