Back at the house. John took off and went back to his place for the evening. Anna looked at Nettie and Tobias. "Will you two be staying here or are you two planning to go back home? Not to rush you guys. I am just wondering if I need to prepare the room for you two."
"No, we will go back home. I trust that you won't let Kitty stay here alone. I do know what Leo is up to but I am sure it has something to do with his work. I trust that he will come home though. He has a lot of traits that are interesting for a hunter to have. I am happy that we could help Kitty out." Nettie pulled out her business card and held it out to Anna, "if for any reason she becomes weak and or unstable please call me right away I will come over with my husband again."
Tobias pulls out his card as well and holds it out, "take mine as well. If you can't get a hold of my wife I will gladly pick up the phone and we both will come over again. Kitty seems like the type of person who won't ask for help and would rather do everything by herself."
Anna took both cards and smiled sweetly, "thank you. I will call if anything seems to happen. I do not want her to be burdened or feel like she is a burden. I will store this by the phone in case I need to call and I will let Leo and the others know that if she seems to be struggling to give you guys a call. I haven't met her midwife but I know what room she is staying in and when she arrives I will inform her as well."
"Thank you, Anna. We will take our leave then." Nettie got up and walked to the door and glanced back at Kitty before leaving.
Tobias got up and followed his wife slowly to the door. He watched Nettie and smiled. 'She is showing so much concern for another individual. It is refreshing to see her so excited about something once more. I know that she is concerned about Kitty and it goes without saying that I am worried as well. All we can do is what Kitty will let us do. I will put my trust in the people here and hope that they will call when we are needed once again.'
Anna watches the two leave while holding the cards. Once they left she snaps out of it and runs the cards back to the kitchen and places them on the corkboard so that the cards do not get lost. 'I doubt Leo will have an issue with these being placed here. Kitty is after all his top priority.' She walks back to the living room and starts cleaning up the dishes quietly.
Kitty wakes up as the door opens and the light turns on. Leo walks through the door and sees her in the living room. "Darling? I thought you wouldn't be home until tomorrow?"
"We finished everything earlier than I expected. So, we were able to fly back right away. Why are you on the couch?" Leo takes off his shoes and goes to her side.
"Kitty fell asleep after her visit with both Nettie and Tobias. They were here for a while but they went home." Anna got up for the chair, "since you are now home I will take my leave and go back to my quarters. Goodnight Leo, Kitty, and your guest." Anna bows and leaves.
"Thank you, Anna. Have a good rest. Ketan it is good to see you again." Kitty sees that Ketan is here with Leo.
Leo nods at Anna and then looks back at Kitty, "I saved Ketan as promised. I also offered him a job here. If we let him go, then he might get killed and that would defeat the purpose of saving him."
"I am willing to work for Leo since I will be able to be close to a clan leader. I am fine with the work Leo has for me and it's not like I sleep all that much. I will be able to help you after all the help that you gave our clan," Ketan smiles.
"Thank you, Darling. I am glad that you have saved Ketan. You offered him a job? Will it be a difficult job?" Kitty looks a little confused.
"It's an easy job for me. You already know that I am stronger than most individuals, so would it not make sense to have a vampire bodyguard. I can't go back to the clan at thins point in time. Then hunters will think that I turned out to be a human and not a vampire if they show up here. Besides you are not well and can't protect yourself properly." Ketan walked to the chair Anna was sitting on and sat down.
"I am concerned that you are left unguarded here and when I go back to work do you think Luke, Carlos and Cindy will be enough to guard you? I don't think it will be enough and besides, you can't argue with this." Leo picked her up and then sat down with her in his arms.
"I understand. I haven't rebuilt the barrier that went off. I am too weak for that so it makes sense to have a bodyguard and with it being Ketan I will be able to rest easy. I take it you went over everyone that is here and you will introduce them to Ketan when they come back?" Kitty looks between the two then rests her head on Leo's chest.
"I was informed of all the people that are allowed to come here I met Brielle and Will and I was told that Will may bring his fiance to come to visit you. So once I see her I will be able to add her to my list of people who are safe. I have now met Anna so I know that she is a kind, sweet lady. Kitty do not worry about the barrier I will keep you safe. If it is alright with you two I will go and grab a bite to eat. I was locked in the basement for quite some time and I am feeling my hunger come back. I will go to the woods to the right and run for a while. Once I get my fill I will then come back to the house. While I am out there I will also get familiar with the layout of the grounds." Ketan looks at the two and his eyes glimmer shifting from honey gold to a deep dark blood red.
"Go, you were starved for a while, I understand the importance of you needing to feed. I will not put the barrier back up. I will be calling it a night and I am sure my Darling will go with me."
