"Yes and no, there is only life and death with werewolves. Once bitten you will either die in the process or you will have an excruciating painful transformation process. From what I have seen and witnessed, there is a higher death rate than living. I have not had personally changed a human into a werewolf but I have seen it been done three times. I must say it seems like it would be a good torture method. As a natural-born werewolf, I do not need to worry about a forced transformation. If you bite a human our DNA mixes with theirs and slowly the werewolf DNA will override the human DNA. The older the person the harder it is on the body. Luke, for example, completed his first change this year and it takes years to get to that point. Whereas a human bitten is forced to make the transition all within a day. All it takes is one bite from a werewolf. I've only seen it be done when the werewolf is transformed and under the full moon. So I am not sure if we could do it in our human form. That is something I have never tried or seen. I must say it is a great torture technique. There is nothing more painful than being forced to transform without the proper precautions." Carlos looks at Ketan as he says this.
Cindy listened to when Carlos had to say and shook her head. 'Don't think about it. You already transform with ease. I doubt if you became a werewolf it would hurt you.'
Luke had listened to what was said and was a little shocked. "That would be very painful. I am glad that we get to transform over time rather than all at once. I wouldn't want to use it on a human that I did not deserve that as a punishment but I guess that is something that I would not need to use."
"Luke, I would never ask you to do that. It is not something that we will be concerned about. Carlos, I thank you for sharing that information with us. Also, I thank you for all the stories Ketan. I think we should call it a night as it is getting later and we have a lot to get down tomorrow. I will see you all in the morning so please have a wonderful sleep and Ketan have a good evening." Leo got up and walked away from the table.
"Goodnight Leo. I will be on patrol and I will get your blood from you in the morning while we are out and about." Ketan bowed his head and watched Leo leave the room. "Now for the rest of you please hold out your hand." Ketan smiled and waited for them to do as he asked.
Cindy held out her hand and watched as Ketan sliced her palm open and he drank a mouthful of her blood. He cut the palm of his hand, dabbed his finger in the blood then traced the cut of Cindy's hand which disappeared from sight. Cindy looked at her hand in amusement. "Interesting, it really does heal external wounds rather well."
Carlos took the knife and let Ketan repeat the process. "That is a strange sensation. I do not know if I could do that again but this is a bit of an emergency. Do you want us to test the connection?"
"I can tell you that Cindy is focusing on the color of the curtains she doesn't know whether the color is pale blue or midnight blue. So I know that the connection with Cindy is working. If you want to think about something then I will tell you what you thought about and if I am right then the connection is set up properly. I must say normal supernatural blood tastes really good." Ketan giggles and then goes to Luke. "I will not force you but just know that I will help you when the time is needed."
"I trust you Ketan and I know that Mother trusts you as well." Luke copied what was done with the other two and lets Ketan drink his blood. He watched his hand heal and then touched the spot. 'How interesting that I didn't feel as much pain as I thought that I would. I am glad that the cut wasn't too deep and that it could be healed so easily.'
"Well one thing is for sure I can hear Luke's thoughts quite easily. I would hope that you would heal that fast I used my blood to heal the wound. You are like an open book Luke. Which is not a bad thing but I do hope that you learn to keep your thoughts to yourself. As for Carlos, I will not say what I heard but I heard your thoughts quite clearly. As Leo said you should all go get some sleep and I will be downstairs here on the couch." Ketan looked at those around the table and was smiling.
"I will be in my quarters then. Have a good evening everyone." Carlos got up and went to his room finailly.
Cindy got up and went to the door, "Have a good evening everyone."
Luke sat in his chair and then started to clear the dishes away. "I need to finish my chores before I can sleep. I will take these to the kitchen and load up the dishwasher."
Ketan helped Luke by picking up the dishes. "You are very diligent. I will give you a hand so that you can go to sleep quicker. I will bring you the rest of the dishes while you do what you need to do in the kitchen." He placed the dishes on the counter and then left to grab more from the table.
"Thank you for the help Ketan. I really appreciate it. It is not all the time that I have help and there is a lot left on the table." Luke loaded up the dishwasher and quickly got it loaded and carried the ones that were hand wash only to the sink.
After Ketan got all the dishes from the table he sat down and watched Luke finish his work. "Do you think that you will be happy with what has yet to happen? I know that is is a hard time for you and with you being so young it will be a struggle for you. I know that Kitty had struggled in the past and now you are struggling as well."
"I don't know. My world was so small when it was just Leo and myself here but now there are more people and everything seems different. I was not expecting it to change so much but in reality, so much has changed. It is not like the change scares me but what the outcome might be will scare me. I have an attachment to Kitty but as a mother figure that I haven't had in a long time. I have learned so much in such a short time and it makes my brain think more than before." Luke finished loading the dishwasher and started it up before going to wash the hand wash only items.
