"Thank you for your help, Luke. Kitty is now resting in my bed. If you want, you are free to help me in the kitchen I can use help to prepare all the food that you will eat." Cindy looked at Luke and smiled happily.
"Is she going to be alright? She looked pretty out of it when I last saw her." Luke watched Cindy suspiciously but stayed in the kitchen to help with the cooking.
"Do not fret, she was sleeping after I left the room. I am not lying to you." Cindy opened the oven and pulled out the chicken parmesan. "She will come down for lunch and you will see that there is nothing to worry about."
Ketan transported them to the first location and Leo whistled, "Good work. I am surprised that when I explain a place you are able to pinpoint where it is located just on the coordinates alone."
Carlos holds himself steady with the fence. "I can not believe that you are used to this already. This is not a normal feeling at all."
"I take it that you have never fast traveled with Kitty before. Then again, I do not think that it would not be wise for her to transport with a person anywhere." Ketan looks at the house, "so what exactly are we looking for?"
"So in each of these places we need to see if he has housed a supernatural, get access to the chemical, or even just get solid proof that he is a bad guy. Although that shouldn't be all that hard as he is a guy with no standards." Leo shook his head. It was still dark at this house so he knew that there could be vampires lurking about. Leo went and opened the door with the key that he got as a spare from the office but the door was already unlocked. Leo pulled out his sword and slowly crept into the house. He heard a girl screaming he raced upstairs and the screaming stopped.
Ketan opened the door and saw that the girl was asleep but alive he let out a sigh and saw that the vampire had been turned to dust. He sniffed the air and caught the usual scent and was shocked. 'No, she was supposed to stay at the house. I can not believe that girl.'
Carlos could smell the blood but could not pick up on the scent of who killed the target. "Leo, I can not figure out the scent that is lingering in the air but the vampire that was attacking this girl is definitely dead."
Leo looked over at Ketan who had a straight face and was staring daggers at him. "Who was here just now, Ketan?"
Ketan gulped, "I don't think it would be right for me to say who was here as I have no real proof but I recognize the blood in the air. I will not be able to confirm unless I bother that person and that is something that I do not want to do at this time. I will tell you that the person is not a threat to us or the girl and that the individual is gone. That person should not come back."
Leo stared at Ketan and listened to his words. 'Why is it that he will not tell me who was here. It is not like I will kill that person I merely want to thank them for saving the girl. Unless...no I don't think that is the reason.' Leo lets out a sigh, "can you at least tell me if the girl was bitten? Also, since the vampire was in this house that means there could be more of them so be diligent."
Ketan picked up the girl and examined her neck and arms. He ran his finger down her neck and found the healed bite marks. "Unfortunately she has been bit. I do not know how many times but she has healed marks and not fresh ones. There were at least two vampires that have been feeding off of her."
The girl awakens and starts fighting against Ketan. He immediately lets go and steps back. "I-I want to go *hic* hoooome."
Carlos stepped forward, "It's okay we are not here to hurt you. We came here to save you. What do you remember happening?"
"I-I was out for an evening stroll like I always do...a-and I was knocked out from behind. The ones that brought me here where taunting me and they bound me in this room. I can no longer remember how long I have been here for. They would take turns on biting me at first, I didn't know what was going on. Slowly I realized that they were vampires I thought I was going to die." The girl moved as far away from Ketan as she could.
Ketan stopped and walked to the door. The second vampire walked through the door before he could say or do anything Ketan grabbed him by the throat and pinned him to the wall. "Do you think that torturing a human is fun? You are the type of vampire that gives the rest of us a bad name you know that?"
The vampire chuckled and gasped for air, "Tonight would've marked the night that she would've become *cough* one of our pets. Do you think that she will be able to go back to being a human again?"
"Ketan, feel free to dispose of that scum oh you see fit. Young lady, I am afraid that if you go home you may be in danger and that you might bring danger upon your loved ones. I will see if there is a job that you could do for us back at my association. Carlos, I know that she will be more comfortable with you so I will let her tag with us in the meantime." Leo looked at Carlos to see him shake his head.
"O-okay, th-thank you. Before you guys came I heard a voice say sleep and next thing I knew you were in front of me. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't come along to save me." The girl looked down and started to weep.
Ketan was afraid to kill the man in the room with the girl so he stepped out. "I don't usually partake in another vampire's blood but my thirst has been quite strong these days so I think I will take from you like you took from that girl." Ketan bit into the vampires neck and slowly the guys memories revealed themselves to him. He watched as the girl giggled and turned the man into a vampire. The same girl that he left with the guys. He stopped drinking and snapped the guys neck. 'It is a waste to not finish his blood but I want to see what this girl is planning. It is a rare trait to find a vampire that can turn a human into a vampire.' He rushed back to the room but before he could get into the door, the door had slammed in his face.
