"The connection between a vampire and their partner is rather deep but I am free-willed but I can feel certain things from Sylvie. Her emotions come to me and I can always tell what is going on in her mind and the same for her with me. I am not used to having emotions but I know she can sense mine. I am not sure if this is because of who she is or if it happens in all cases. Having a partner negates having to hunt for a blood source also it is rather lonely to live without a partner. Whenever you are separated from your partner, you feel a sense of loneliness. Having a partner helps if you become weak as having someone by your side makes it so that you can gain back the power you lost." Emerson looks at Luke and then Leo.
"I see. So in a sense you are like a battery charger?" Luke's eyes shone at the newly acquired knowledge and he yawned.
"Luke you should head up to bed. Tiana is going to wear you out tomorrow so you need to get all the rest that you can." Leo watched as Luke got up and waited until Luke went upstairs, "so you must know everything that is going on between them. What is the thing with her saying that her birth in unnatural?"
"I will tell you about that tomorrow Leo. You may be able to stay up but you have to keep your mind sharp for Kitty's sake." Ketan came back and looked at Leo.
"Alright, I will go to sleep but you guys will explain this so that I understand what the fuck is going on. I do not like not knowing what is happening." Leo got up and went to the bedroom. He looked at Kitty sleeping peacefully. He snuck into the bathroom and showered quickly. He snuck into the bed and fell asleep.
In the morning Kitty woke up and realized that she had the most unnatural sleep and she slightly cursed under her breath.
Leo felt her stir. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer towards himself. "Good morning, Love. Did you sleep well?"
"Sylvie put me to sleep. I slept alright but it is not fair as I wanted to ask her something but she wouldn't let me and with the dreams I had all night long it was a strange sleep. I think that I know more of what happened and I saw things in very deep detail." She shudders and turned around to face Leo.
"It will be alright dear. I think that they will explain everything after some time. You can probably take what you saw as the truth. Your powers are only getting stronger. I think it is good that you are coming into your powers. Although it may not feel like you are enjoying the powers right now it seems like they will develop nicely in the future. I learned a little bit last night but nothing that you don't already know." Leo looked down into her eyes.
"Darling, I probably do know what you learned last night. I know a lot about their unique situation but Sylvie is always so hard on herself." Kitty leaned into his chest. "You showered before coming to bed. You don't smell like blood anymore."
"I did. I did not want the scent to linger and it is not nice to feel like I am covered in someone else's blood. I may be a killer but I do not like killing every single time. I only kill if it is necessary. There was no way around it yesterday." Leo thinks back at everything that happened yesterday.
"Yes, I can understand that, Darling. You do not need to worry about that when it comes to me. It is not like I have not killed before. There are those that come after me because of who I am and they attack unrelentingly. If I didn't kill them then they would just keep coming back and trying to kill me. I am a very calculating individual so I try to stay ahead of my enemies." Kitty smiled and yawned a little bit.
"You can go back to sleep, my dear. Only I have to get up and get ready for the day. Luke can take care of Tiana with Cindy's help. It is also Nathan's first day on the job so I should check in on how that is going." Leo touched her cheek gently.
"No, I do not feel like sleeping anymore. I also want to see how the two are getting along in the kitchen. Carlos does not normally get along with anyone in his kitchen. He does well with Cindy as he sees her as his mate. I want to see how he will do with someone who is good as he is." Kitty smiled and stretched her arms.
Leo took the opportunity and started tickling Kitty's sides. "You should worry about yourself first."
"Ha ha ha... Leo, ha, please, pffffft, stop." Kitty laughs and tries to swat Leo's hands away.
Leo moves his hands away and looks down at her blushing face. He leaned down and kissed her on her lips. The kiss started off as a quick peck but Leo was hungry for her lips so he went in for a second kiss. He took her breath away and kissed her deeply. He ended the kiss and he wanted more but knew he shouldn't start something when there was so much going on already. "Get ready to eat and then I have to get ready to go do my work." Leo climbed out of bed and started putting on his hunter clothes and tried to calm himself down.
Kitty was breathless and looked at him with moist heavy-lidded eyes. "Okay, Darling but will you be alright?"
"Yes, I can manage on my own. Besides we should not add more strain to your body. I have not been thinking logically but now that I have you here I will be wiser about everything. I do not want any harm to come to you or the baby. It will not be long before our little one comes home to us." Leo smiled and turned towards her. His chest was on full display for Kitty to see.
