'He is worrying about me just as much as I worry about him. I know that it is within our natures to worry about each other but he and I both have jobs that need to get done. It is not like I will get hurt on site. It is the opposite and I already know that Liz will not let anything happen to me.' Kitty quickly washed up.
Leo looked back at the bathroom before sitting down on the couch and pulled out his laptop. He started to sort through the emails and saw that there were some reports but also a reply from the surveillance hunter.

Thank you for your generosity. To be very honest this is the type of work that I was supposed to be assigned to in the beginning and my deceased partner was happy to do this kind of work as well. He was a bit of a coward but he was a good person. We had an attack order and even though I said that we were not ready Valdis still sent us out on that job. I never did find out why but what I do know is that Johnathan was scared and didn't want to go on the mission but that did not stop it from happening. One odd thing about that mission is that the vampire we were hunting was straight out attacking Johnathan but he was killed as I finally was able to kill the target. I decided that at that point a partner might not be a good idea.
If you feel that you want me to have a partner will you allow me to choose a new recruit and train them from scratch? In all honestly, though I would prefer to work alone.

Leo thought about it for a moment and replied back.

I understand how you feel but there are reasons you are supposed to have a partner. Of course, I will not force you but remember if you get ambushed you are more likely to be a goner. If you decide you want a partner I can set you up with a person of your choosing that does not have a partner or someone new as you have requested.
Once you make your choice if it does not work out you can always change your mind. For instance, if you choose to keep going solo but feel later that it is too dangerous you can request a partner and vice versa.
I honestly know how it is to work with someone you can not trust and there are some complaints that partners do not match up. I am honestly going to be actively working on remedying that. There is nothing worse than working with someone that you can not stand or can not work with. Just keep me informed of what you want to do. All the luck on your current target and we can talk more in person upon your return.

Kitty finished her bath and pulled the plug. She got out of the bathtub and walked into the room with a towel wrapped in her hair and a towel wrapped around her body. Since Leo was focusing on his laptop she snuck up behind him and read the email. \"I think that she is a good person and if she survived this long she will be okay on her own but at the same time she should be careful as not all targets will travel alone so I can see why you are concerned.\"
Leo looked up at her, \"I knew that you would understand. I will abide by what I said in the email. I do not want my workers to do things they are uncomfortable with. I may lend her Brielle or Will. There is a watch mission that I know I will need a few people on and I was thinking about creating teams of those I can trust to watch him.\"
\"Ah, that is not a bad idea. Thank you for setting the bath up for me. I quite enjoyed it. I have to get dressed in something easy to change out of.\" Kitty walked away and pulled open the closet and pulled out a pale lavender dress that was easy to slip on. She stepped into the dress and adjusted to the top. The dress looked like it was overlapped. One side over the other on a diagonal angle. The skirt reached her ankles and overlapped but only until the fabric reached the opposite side. On the left side of her body, there was a bow that was tied up and looked as if it was holding the dress together.
Leo looked up and saw how beautiful Kitty looked. \"Wow, that dress may look simple but it is rather unique. I want to try and undo the ribbon next time I have a chance. I want to see what it does but don't spoil it for me. Come sit down and I will brush your hair for you. I know that you are getting it professionally styled today so I will not style your hair but I want to be able to brush it so that you don't aggravate your shoulder any more than you have to.\"
Slowly Kitty walked up to him and saw that there was a slight fire in his eyes. \"I will wear this for you tonight then, Darling. On the condition that you take care of yourself at work today.\" Kitty sat down and let Leo brush her hair.
\"I will be safe in the office today so there will not be a point in time where I will be endangered, Sweetie.\" Leo began brushing her hair, \"but if at some point I must leave the office then I will be on my guard and Ketan will be there with me. I hired him as a guard for you but I am using him more. It is a good thing Sylvie, Emerson, and Stella are here as well. There is a chance that another vampire may come and seek Stella out. I am not sure when but he was turned by her. His name is Peter.\"
