The next day, Henry was still busy. His friends went to the meditation room after lunch. The letters were being prepared and he remained in the office to evaluate its contents before signing it. The selection process will begin in two months. They were busy preparing the rules for the games, the promotional materials, the venue, looking for referees and coaches.
He realized that there was so much to be done. Madel gave him the fruits before entering the mediation room. He stood up and went into the balcony. As he was breathing fresh air and exercising his neck he saw a very handsome figure of a young man.
[Oh my gosh] he was captivated by a man who was standing below him. He was talking to some of his friends and smiles from time to time. Henry could not make out of his features, but to his eyes, the man below was already being stripped naked.
He could not help but to bit his lips and drool over. He was dreaming that the man would look his way and that their eyes will meet, he would smile sweetly at him and he would act shy and modest.
He was salivating and his stomach were filled with butterflies. Moments later, when the guy left with his friends, Henry was still in a daze. [What a dreamy sight] he gladly went back to his work. He will tell his friends about the man.
Suddenly he felt a strong presence enveloping the whole campus again. It was the same feeling when they were attacked by shadows. It was beyond his means to stop them so he did not move.
[what if... they are here to seek revenge.]
He immediately stood up and asked the officers to go to the evacuation area as soon as possible. The atmosphere was becoming heavier. He can feel his adrenaline rushing with his heartbeat and breathing increased. He flew to the meditation room in great hurry. He was so worried because he had lost a dear friend once. The school sounded an alarm urging the students to enter the evacuation area.
He can't help but to re-live the same horror. Henry felt at ease when he saw Helen and Francis in the lobby. There were streams of students coming out led by professors of the hall. Amidst the crowd, they found Cheska. The professors urged them to follow the line but they stayed and looked out for Madel.
"sir we are looking for our friend, can we look for her in the rooms?" Henry asked.
"No, there is not much time. Come with us, there is safety in numbers." He said.
Before the Professor could finish answering he leaped towards the second floor. He searched room one by one. The pressure was becoming denser.
[The shadows are closing in] he said to himself.
Soldiers immediately rushed to the point where the pressure was most dense. It was within the meditation building.
Madel was not in the second floor, he immediately went through the third floor and the fourth floor. He almost keeled when he felt a sudden surge of pressure.
[Cheska, go with other students bring Helen and Francis to safety.] he sent a telepathic message to Cheska. She immediately followed his instructions with no questions asked.
[Madel where are you] he said as he forced himself up. He cannot use any spiritual power to scan the environment. The shadows might become alert and come after him before he finds Madel.
Then as he opened the 5th door in the second floor he saw Madel. She was lying in the middle of the room in a meditation mat.
"Madel, wake up" he shook her shoulder "Madel he repeated.
She did not woke up, he checked her carotid pulse and breathing, she was still alive. He slipped his fingers under her head, then neck, at the back, going downwards. He wanted to check for bleeding, contusion, or any injury. There was none but she won't wake up. He lifted her body to carry her. She slowly opened her eyes as Henry was drawing her closer. Their eyes met and he stopped.
"Tsk, how can you sleep like a log" he said in a very sassy voice. He was pissed.
"Henry, what is happening, why are you here." Madel mumble. She was still sleepy.
"get up shadows are here again." he said.
"again?"
Shadows never made such grand entry as this, they were always discreet when they wanted to kill someone. But, it was already the second time that they went over to the school campus to kill.
Henry held her waist and jumped from floor to floor, they quickly reached the ground floor and there was nobody else left in the building. There was no choice, all they could do was to hide. He pulled her towards the nearest meditation room and they stood inside a small cabinet where gowns for meditating are used.
Madel started to realize that she was only wearing a single layer of clothes when Henry took her. The gowns for meditation has long sleeves and skirts covering almost entirely her body. But, it can easily be untied with a single pull of ribbon on her waist.
Now they were in a very awkward situation. The space inside the cabinet was only good to hide them both. Her body was pressed against his, while one of his hand was still around her waist. Her face was on his neck and the top of her head was just reached to touch his chin.
Henry did not notice anything strange with their position, he arranged a barrier to hide them both before he lose his consciousness. The barrier has the ability conceal their presence, and aura. If they do not change position, not even the school principal can locate them. Meanwhile Madel's face was as red as tomato.
"Madel, we have to wait until they pass, this is not a battle that we can win." he said. Henry was referring to the shadows vengeful nature. You kill one and they will kill you even if they bring all their army.
The pressure became even more pronounced. Henry's soul could not take it any longer he became unconscious while standing, Madel hugged him to support him to stand up, it was awkward. But with him, she never felt afraid.
"Henry, with you I feel totally safe" Madel said.
A powerful burst of dark aura enveloped the school, everyone was knocked out, even those who were inside the evacuation area.
