Henry took out his sword and signaled Madel to put her sword out. She nodded in return but judging from his looks there are a lot of things that he wanted to ask. If those were not questions in his eyes, she does not know what else could it be. There are mixtures of unexplained emotions painted on those pitch-black eyes of his.
"Okay, we will use the Heaven lift technique, watch me first." Henry said completely forgetting that Madel does not have any zhenqi.
As he raised his sword the dried leaves on the ground as well as pebbles where lifted, with a swift lateral movement, the stones and the leaves where sent flying forward.
"The technique used in this maneuver is simple. We use the sword as an object to channel our energy from the ground. The threads of zhenqi are placed in the core of each objects until these objects are released. Though this technique is not that powerful we use it as a distraction for warriors at level 6 and lower." Henry explained.
[He is acting weird today] Madel did not have any zhenqi but she did not dare to react.
He was acting weird that day indeed. Henry knew the rule of the shadows. It was why the shadows they encountered had the purest intent to kill them. Anyone who saw the creatures of the dark must die. He was haunted with fear for the past 24 hours.
It was yesterday afternoon when they were attacked and it was already lunch time but they are still safe. He was bothered and thankful that they are still alive. The weak girl in front of him was a big mystery as well. Perhaps she could have been marked in the history as the most useless girl for not having a zhenqi, when even a baby have at least a few. Attacking an immortal shadow was totally impossible but she was able to.
After Henry was done explaining, Madel held her sword pointed downwards and swatted a rock from the ground, like a baseball. Henry was surprised to see the targeted rock shatter.
Madel looked at Henry trying to get some response or praise from what she did. But she was amused upon seeing his distorted face. Henry almost cried as he saw Madel's misuse and abuse of the sword that he gifted her.
If he had known earlier that she would use it as a bat he would have just given her one. The sword was specially chosen by him out of his grandfather's collection. It was appraised by a world-famous appraiser.
His grandfather won the bid for the sword spending enormous amount of fortune. Even he was not able to lay a hand on it. Without using his secret weapon, his grandfather would have never given it to him.
