Sid was grinning from ear to ear looking extremely pleased with Laurice's reaction. She was completely shaken to the core. The words that left his mouth kept echoing in her ears it was deafening. And her heart was beating just as loud. 'Calm down heart! Stupid, heart!' All the words she was about to say earlier were stuck in her throat. She can only stare at the man's now crafty and beaming eyes revealing an inexplicable sense of joy in them. Somehow, she was feeling quite happy herself. 'What, why?'

Well, it was a given that she was also attracted to the man himself but, aren't they moving on way too fast? So, are they in a relationship now then? She haven't said yes to him though!'

'Damn it.'

And why the h*ll is this man looking so delivishly handsome in her eyes? He was making her feel itchy all over.

His gaze was bewitching enough and with that flawless face of his, she was feeling quite remorseful and a little self-conscious, too. The man's features are way beyond handsome while she was looking extremely ordinary. 'If they were to be in a relationship then, won't people look down on her? This man was almost perfect while she was completely flawed. It wasn't such a good match, is it?'

Laurice was deliberating inwardly when the man suddenly kissed her slightly parted mouth.

She gasped sharply and released one hand from the man's firm grip to close her mouth.

Sid snickered. A mischievous glint flashed past his deep brown eyes.

Laurice was obviously getting all self-conscious now. Goodness! She remembered she haven't even brushed her teeth yet! The man just kept on attacking her with kisses, she worry her breath might actually smell.

As if reading what's on her mind, Sid spoke nonchalantly while uncovering her mouth with his own hands.

"What are you worried about?"

Laurice puffed her cheeks and groaned, "You! Stop kissing me already! It was too early in the morning and i ... i haven't even brushed yet!"

The moment she finished speaking, the man brazenly kissed her full in the mouth again! His tongue flicked the insides of her mouth, tasted every corner and sucked her dry. Her entire body froze. The man's kiss was so hot and indulgent. Laurice did nothing to stop him at all. Was she enjoying his kisses that much that she wasn't pushing him away at all?

Sid released her mouth as they both gasp for air. They were both inhaling each other's breath while looking at each other with deep warm gaze. He smiled. It was a sly smile but a tender one. 'F*ck!' Laurice felt feverish all over her body. The man was such a great kisser. It nearly drove her crazy. And that smile, it was insanely sexy!

Sid gently caressed her face with his palm and said nothing afterwards.

"Hmmm." He mumbled.

They both stood there close together for as long as they could remember. Laurice dismissed all her previous thoughts and just enjoyed the man's presence before her.

...

Sid felt his heart was bursting with joy and satisfaction. The woman no longer protested despite his rash behavior. He was immensely contented after the kiss. He was looking at Laurice with the same expressive eyes. It was divine. The woman looked so angelic and beautiful. Well, beautiful is actually an understatement. Laurice was simply exquisite. She was unlike any other. She was both delicate and bold, it was quite amusing to watch. And he wanted to see more from her. He knew he wouldn't get enough of her even if he spends all his time with her.

Laurice was the first woman he fell inlove with and he vow to cherish her and love her all the days of their lives.

'His darling spitfire.'

...

Sid broke the silence first as he recalled something and said to her, "Come and order any food you want to eat for breakfast. I was about to call for room service when you woke up."

For some strange reason, they were back to square one, it was almost as if nothing bizarre had happened. They were both unbelievably calm and composed looking as if they have come into some sort of an agreement that only the both of them understand. What's more suprising is the fact that they were soon having such a decent conversation like that of a normal couple.

'What progress is this?! Someone tell me!'

These were Laurice's thoughts alone.

...

Sid interlaced both their hands oh-so-naturally while walking as he led her out of the bedroom.

Laurice was surprised with the sudden contact she almost jerked his hand off. But Sid held her hand firmly with a gentle squeeze while glancing at her bewildered face.

He was starting to enjoy seeing her surprised expression. It was undeniably adorable.

Laurice averted his gaze and cleared her throat.

"Hmm. Where am i exacty?" Laurice ignored his question first and asked instead. She had no idea where he took her. 'Were they still at the metro?' She wondered. It seemed like the place was a bachelor's pad or some condominium unit. The entire place was fully furnished with an open-floor plan concept. She was led to the spacious living area with high ceilings.

'Click, click.'

Sid retrieved something from the desk and pressed on the gadget. It was basically a remote control. Soon the blinds from one corner wall revealed a floor to ceiling glass window from which Laurice had a full panoramic view of the city proper down below. The morning sun bathe the beautiful man and woman together.

Laurice recognized some familiar buildings and realized they were currently at East City at the Capital.

'East City huhh ... It's the least place she desired to be at, at the moment.'

"My penthouse." Sid spoke beside her. Laurice was stunned. She realized the man was still holding unto her hands and they were standing close together.

"Oh!" Laurice uttered. 'How wealthy is this man, really?'

The entire place was well kept. She could not guess if Sid frequented this place which is obviously far away from the Walsh Villa. She actually have no idea what he actually does besides the fact that he was both a farmer and an engineer. And she was too shy to ask.

"What do you want to eat?" Sid asked disrupting her thoughts.

Laurice looked around her and saw the kitchen. Sid followed her gaze and could somehow guess her intention.

His eyes sparkled in delight.

If the 'wife' wants to cook, then he'll be more than glad to oblige. Luckily, his penthouse was regularly maintained properly by his people so knew he had stocks of food in the fridge and pantry. Normally, he has his own chef to cook for him when he's around but he wants to be alone with his 'wife' today so he dismissed the idea of sending him over. He was also initially planning to just order food from the in-house restaurant in the building but who cares, Laurice cooks way better than those cooks and chefs anyway.

"Do you have anything to cook with in the fridge?" Laurice asked.

Sid answered indulgingly, "Yes, yes. Are you sure you want to cook?" He did not bother mentioning the restaurant anymore else the 'wife' might change her mind. He didn't want to tire her but he would rather have her food than anything else.

"Yes. I'll borrow your kichen then." Laurice walked towards the kitchen and Sid followed enthusiastically beside her.

Laurice halted when she reached the kitchen counter and tilted towards the man who was absentmindedly smiling while looking at her. Laurice shivered inwardly.

'He's not having some weird thoughts now, is he?'

What is the man so happy about?

Sid noticed her gaze and collected himself. "What is it?" He asked.

Laurice gave him an incredulous look and lifted both their hands that were still laced together and said, "Can you let go of me first? I won't be able to cook with a handicap."

"Nope. I'm good." Sid ignored her and pulled her towards the fridge. He was already picking out meats and some vegetables. Not once did he let go of her hand.

Laurice: " ...? "

Laurice gently slap her face with her free hand. She somehow felt conflicted.

It seemed the man was going to help the 'wife' cook breakfast!
