After finishing my meal and bath, I was contemplating on bed.

Through that fight against the Eagle Warrior Chief, I am now painfully aware of how powerless I personally am. I was supposed to be 2 times faster than my opponent due to my equipment, but none of my attacks connected.
If the skull ring effect didn’t activate, it would have been alot worse than what transpired. The girls are saying that I don’t have enough combat experience, but that is still frustrating.
I’ll set that problem aside for now, my current sighing is for something else.
[Besides that, I have been thinking about something I haven’t done for quite awhile now.]

Yep, it’s the gacha. The last time I rolled was when I got Estel. It’s been quite some time since then. We haven’t doing much hunting as well, as of now I only have 4 manastones. This looks pretty bad.
If a new campaign period were to start as we are now, it’s gonna turn into another Death March.

Sensing danger from my words, Noru carried Estel (like a sack of potatoes) and made for the door.
Looks like she intends to run away and avoid the problem.
The moment her hand touched the doorknob, she and Estel became particles of light and disappeared. After which those same particles of light gathered before me and the 2 of them appeared.
[Pyaー!? Why, why are we infront of Okura-dono!?]
[Phew, I anticipated something like this happening and set up a Beacon beforehand.]
Noru yelped in surprise when I suddenly appeared infront of her.
Her attempt to escape was within my expectations, for that purpose I secretly set up a Beacon in the bed’s shadow and covered it up with a sheet of cloth.
Then the moment she tries to run away I tap the selection on my smartphone, I have the beacon selection screen prepared beforehand, and use that to transfer Estel and Noru as a group.
[So anyway, it’s about time we start collecting manastones again.]
I restrain the confused Noru’s arms from behind her, to stop her from moving. Estel slipped out from under her arm before I noticed and moved to my side.
I sit on the bed, all the while restraining Noru. Noru is forced to sit on my lap, and I entangle her legs too so she is unable to move at all.
[Wait, wha- what are you doing!? Le- let me go! Nyuuuu! I don’t want to go back to doing that sort of hunting anymoreー!]
[Hold on Noru, calm down already. What are you panicking so much for.]

She struggled to try and break free from my restraint. She struggled for awhile, and then finally settled down after realizing she can’t break out from my restraint.
It’s impossible for me to overpower Noru under normal circumstances, but if she isn’t ready for combat then things are slightly different.
She is in her casual clothing for sleeping, which means she currently doesn’t have her weapon equipped. Additionally I have my Power Bracelet equipped.
All of this is within range of my assumptions. My timing for talking about this topic was also planned from the start.
After telling Estel what happened during our last hunt, Estel looked at me with reproachful eyes.
Uuu, stop it, don’t look at me with those eyes. That makes me feel like I have done something bad.
[Onii-san, you clearly overdid it. Although I’m happy that you rolled me after that process, but that’s just awful to Noru.]
[Muu, I chose to do it that unreasonably only because the amount of time to prepare was so short. I’m planning to do it more moderately this time, so please rest assured.]

[That, is the gacha. The question of how to make yourself stronger is always there. And my best answer to that is to “Roll the gacha, and you’ll get stronger with better equipment”.]

The shortest route to strengthening oneself in GC, is rolling the gacha and getting stronger equipment.
Sure there are lots of people who raised their levels and managed their parties. But all that training requires the use of manastones for stamina recovery.
If that’s the case, dumping all your freely acquired manastones to roll the gacha in GC was the real manly way. Fortunately the game management generously gave out a good amount of manastones, so F2P players were able to enjoy the game too.
[Think about it this way. You’d be able to defeat monsters more efficiently with stronger weapons which means it’ll be easier to level up. In addition, in the gacha rolling process, there’s the chance to get UR units too if luck is on your side. That’s pretty efficient isn’t it? You’ll be able to level up, get better equipment and even get new party members. How wonderful is that.]

Even with all this, she(Noru) is still giving off an atmosphere of uneasiness. If she keeps feeling uneasy like this, it’s going to affect her sleep which will show in her performance tomorrow.

She was pretty heavy when I carried her before, but she’s much lighter now as she isn’t wearing her armor. I do feel slightly bad for her, but I’ll get her to sleep forcefully this time round.
