"Leona!"

I shouted again, but still to no avail so I decided to support her attacks by casting Rapid Regeneration to Leona before rushing to the struggling Lina that got struck to the rampage earlier. I held my hand and help Lina stand up as she struggled.

"Sorry for the trouble master," Lina apologizes as she cast heal on herself.

"Nah, the boss just suddenly attacked. We can't blame anyone on it," I said before I examine her armor. I was stunned to realize that her armor regenerates durability!

"Durability Regeneration?!" I was stunned as the Battle Maid Uniform of Lina slowly returned to its first form that was not damaged.

"Master Almira added it as a feature so that I won't be needing to frequently visit the blacksmith to repair my armor everytime, she said it was for insurance.

I don't know whether I will laugh or cry hearing that. Insurance? Is she afraid that I will lose Lina on one of my battles?

"Master, I am sorry but I need to let the armor regenerate first before I can return to the battle. Its too risky without a proper armor," Lina frowned as she checked the destroyed parts that are slowly repairing itself.

"Sure, just heal yourself. Let the others do so too. They are not on the good shape to continue the battle," I said to Leona.

"As you command," Leona bowed down before rushing to Harmless Sparrow and the rest that are still struggling.

I picked up my sword again and rushed towards the boss. This time, the boss was desperately attacking the fast Leona. Some of Leona's wounds are healing thanks to the Rapid Regeneration I casted on her. Still, its not enough to fill her HP back to full. She continue her assault by rapidly releasing Tornado Blades accompanied by a severe slap from the Iron Wing.

Peng! Peng! Peng!

A bird will be advantageous against a lizard but this time, it was like a stalemate. You can't possibly know who will get slain and who will survive. Of course, I won't let Leona die. She is my pet and it would be bad if she died. Once a pet or mount dies, it won't be resurrected again. An absolute death.

"Heal!"

"Sanctuary of the Sick!"

I cast those skills again on Leona and her wounds starts fading. Still, she keeps on assaulting the boss without stopping. She pecks the boss and scratch its hard skin out using her sharp claws but all of those seems ineffective on dealing damage. It even looks like it was just like a small pebble was thrown into a big and sturdy boulder.

I strike my sword hard on the boss and the Blood Greed Bar once again raised back to 100%.

"Blood Drain!"

Just like the previous bosses, the Terraform Blade struck inside the flesh of the boss even though it was considered impossible to pierce since I tried piercing its hard skin only to be stopped by its hard skin again. Now, its flesh voluntarily destroys its flesh like fresh butter melting on a hot knife.

My sword once again envelops my arm on a shadow-like arm gripping my arm which is like infusing it to me. As the blade was fully inside its body, the gurgling sounds once again rumbled around and this time, the boss seems to notice my sword's attack that it wriggle hard to shake me off from its body. I did not let go on my grip on my sword even the shaky boss keeps on thrashing about

Leona seems to get a chance and unleashes flurry of strikes against the Blood Bath Komodo. It pecks its eyes repeatedly using her sharp beak as her own weapon. Since it was shaking, Leona was not able to damage the eyes of the boss.

My HP that was not fully healed earlier once again filled itself fast as the sword sucks the vitality of the boss before ejecting me away. When I ejected, I also kicked the boss on its body hard, causing it to feel the strong force I expended causing it to tumble away.

Leona's eyes glint a bit and swoop down in a fast motion repeatedly.

Peng! Peng! Peng!

The boss did not get to react fast enough, not even able to recover, Leona swoop down again to attack. Its HP slowly fell to critical levels.

5%

4%

3%

2%

1%

When its HP fell to 1%, Leona stopped before spreading its wings wide and dealing a final blow.

Swish!

A large visible arc of wind swoop down and slashed through the neck of the Blood Bath Komodo cleanly. I recognize this skill of Leona. That is the Beheading Wind. Heh, I didn't know that Leona got to learn a new skill. The Blood Bath Komodo's head flew away from its body which is the end of the battle against the boss.

"Blood Bath Komodo was slain! Awarding 3,000,000 EXP and 500 gold to all players who participated."

The 3,000,000 EXP filled my EXP bar only around 30%. Its now getting harder to obtain enough exp to level up. Everyone leveled up once and they also got rich since they got 500 gold individually. Even though Leona dealt the final blow, Leona can't earn gold coins but she can earn EXP.

I approached Leona and pull out a jerky and throws it to Leona who greedily swallows the big Jerky. I rub her feathers and cast heal.

"Good job Leona but don't be reckless next time. The boss was not something you can defeat without help. If I have not helped you heal on the middle of your fight, you might get killed instead," I said as I kept on rubbing her feathers.

Leona seems to understand but she just nod and nod repeatedly. I don't really know if she gets what I really want to say and pulls out another Jerky to Leona for her to eat.

This time, Lina approached me with the pouch of gold on her hands.

"Master, here is the 500 gold," she said and held it out to me.

I just remembered that NPCs also earn gold individually too so when Leona slain the Blood Bath Komodo, Lina also earned 500 gold. To greedy players, this is a perfect opportunity to get rich however, I am not that dark of a person to take away a hard work's labor away from them.

"Take them, I already have one and besides, you earned them, you don't need to give it to me. In the first place, you don't have to hive the gold to me and keep it for yourself," I said to Lina.

"Master didn't need the gold?" Lina tilted her head.

"I already got my fair share. You don't need to present me more gold. Instead, you should use that for your own expenses. That would be better," I said to her smiling.

"I see, Lina understood. Thank you master," Lina said and bow.

I never expected that with just that gesture, another panel appeared and announced something to me.

"Battle Maid Lina has looked at you revered by your actions. Your relationship with her has risen to Relative!"

What the heck, she is now viewing me as a Relative! This is the first NPC that revere me as someone she can trust. If an NPC gets to the point that she or he gets to view you as a Relative, that means that she or he will always work hard to help you in any thing.

Harmless Sparrow smiled and tap my back.

"You are really something, so that is how you interact to NPCs. I never knew that," she nodded before looking at Lina.

"Thank you very much for helping us out in the battle and for healing our wounds earlier, we don't know what we can do if not for your help," Harmless Sparrow bowed down.

Battle Maid Lina courteously bowed down like a maid does.

"Its an honor to work alongside with you and your team Miss Harmless Sparrow," Lina said.

And with that, a panel appeared before them announces something which surprised Harmless Sparrow.

"It's really effective!"

So that is the case, Harmless Sparrow might have not discovered that NPCs are very intelligent and can engage conversation with you. She now found one and she was very surprised.

Harmless Sparrow and her team picked up the loot with them and happily put them in the bag. I am jut waiting for them to finish the looting.

I grinned at them. Most players might think that a dungeon has only a few hard bosses but the next one is not that easy. I don't really know what will their reactions going to be. I look at my fatigue level. It was already 70%
