Raph and Lovely lay on their backs looking to the sky, damn that boss was hard and they still had three waves to go by the indicator. A couple more system announcements came through explaining how other cities and kingdoms had failed to defend their keeps throughout the servers. They couldn't fall behind here. Raph got up not seeing his mother, she was most likely helping Yellowpuppy. He helped Lovely up and they moved back towards the keep. They decided to stay with Yellowpuppies group on the ground to help striking surprise attacks on the enemy's flanks.

Newbones threw Ki waves, pulse attacks, and a variety of other range Ki blasts at the enemies before him. He had never seen so many enemies appear all at once. This was things of legends when cultivators would fend off massive attacks of monster beasts to protect their homes. He had read about this when he was younger from his uncle. Just in the first day of gameplay he had received various tips from his friends on to maximize his efficiency. With this much fighting everyday it was no wonder they were all so good right away. He himself began to maximize the power for his own form of martial arts.
Newbones had been born into a cultivation family, but because he was not talented with cultivation at all he had stayed at the first stage for most of his life. His family didn't pressure him to stay in the cultivation world and let him lead a normal life. His family was not that prominent anyways and had always served one of the larger clans.
Even now at the age of thirty-three he barely had managed to make it to the third stage before he joined the game. Now that he had met up with his friends from school from way back in the day. He tricked them a little bit to join knowing that in this game he could advance faster. He also wanted to try one of these games with his friends too they seemed to enjoy themselves way too much when they played and he felt a little left out. He had come to enjoy the first day of playing together so much especially because he had made it to the fourth stage in one go. The Second Realm was no longer a dream to him at this stage, eventually he would grow strong enough to help his family and no longer be a burden.
He continued to pace himself striking calmly one eagle monster beast after another. Then he saw behind flock of eagles the boss
<Grand Blue Eagle>
<Colossal Claws>- Area 5 meters grabs all targets and deals 500% damage
<Headwind>- Increases wind around Boss deflecting 20% of arrows.
<Screech>-Anyone within 40 meters receives the following debuff. Reduces attack speed by 30% for 10 seconds
A control type boss this would slow the rate they could destroy monster beasts significantly. Newbones began to clear a path to the new boss. He needed to find a way to pull him away from the keep, he knew he was the only one that could do that for now. I'mcold and Roxie were now in the northern part of the keep fighting the bulk of the waves. He needed to give the rest of the team time to fight and clear the remaining monsters for them to have a chance. He then channeled his Spiritual energy then used <Five Sphere Elemental Blast> Five elemental spheres formed around him targeting the huge bird. The strikes got its attention. It moved straight for him, this would have made him panic before but after getting a few tips from Yellowpuppy he stayed calm. He continued to attack using <Twin dash shot> which moved him ten meters after he used the skill.
SLAM!!! The claws of the Blue Eagle missed, Newbones continued jumping at the boss <Speed Ki Absorption> taking its enemies speed by ten percent and making it his own. The giant eagle went in for a bite but he was too slow Newbones moved backwards then struck the Eagle's eye with <Power Ki Absorption>. Then he activated <Spirit bomb blast> which would normally knockback an enemy but because the Eagle was so big he had been thrown back instead. This was a quick combo which managed to throw him backwards away from the eagle.
He had learned this in the last dungeon when he had panicked and tried it against the boss. He had learned the distance from the explosion and managed to get farther from the Blue Eagle. The Blue Eagle flew towards him. Although he was on the walls this side had almost been cleared out due to the rest of the archers moving away from the giant eagle giving room to move around. Newbones had to keep it here, but even he knew that it would take a miracle for him to keep the Eagle there. It really had a good chance to rip him apart.
He was only trying to buy time, and he had two more Ki absorption techniques to land. He had to make the boss a little easier and his combo would do just that. He got back up calmly watching the Eagle fly down at him he threw a few Ki blasts before the eagle was upon him once again. This time he rolled out of the range of the Eagle's claws the managed to hit with <Armor Ki Absorbtion> taking it from the boss and making it his own. Then he used another <Twin Dash Shot> keeping a good distance from the boss launching more Ki Blasts at him.
This time though the boss let out a screech making everyone around the keep cover their ears. This gave way to a good charge from the monsters. Both Nohair and Wayslick had to activate their strong passives to keep most of the soldiers alive. The soldiers had not been ready for that and it gave the monsters a good chance to kill the soldiers. Nohair changed to a defensive aura increasing their armor by fifteen percent.
The attacks had slowed down throughout the keep 10 seconds of grueling combat had begun. Newbones had no way of stopping the boss from using that move. He could just hope the next wave would not come soon so they could hold the fort down. One more absorption to go he needed to get it so they could take down the boss fast. The Blue Eagle turned once again to Newbones this time striking hard with its beak. Newbones managed to jump out the way then activated his last absorption this time though he was a second too later to land it. It was the attack speed reduction, <Mind Ki Absorption> landed but he got caught by the Eagles talons.
Newbones was being crushed, he had timed the attack wrong and would now pay for it. He instantly lost twenty percent of his health even with all the buffs he had stolen. Yellowpuppy would scold him for sure not taking into account the attack speed reduction he suffered from. The he got crushed once again losing another twenty percent. He had managed to land his four breaks so he wasn't going to give up here he continued to struggle, trying to break free to no avail. Then a shadow landed on top of the Eagle.
<Captain's Hammer Crush>!!!!!
A huge hammer like fist appeared on the back of the eagle dealing a heavy amount of damage Captain Sun appeared besides Newbones. Where had she been all this time just overseeing the battle? Newbones snapped out of it then activated his last technique now that the Giant Eagle was occupied <Grand Break>. This ability only worked when all four breaks had hit against an opponent. It lowered all defenses by fifteen percent and reduced status affects from the opponent's attacks in half.
Newbones and Captain Sun readied themselves for the next round of attacks.

Yellowpuppy was sitting down recovering mentally watching Rekiller from afar kiting the boss they had managed to drop it down to ten percent of its health very quickly. Getting up he saw the next wave of monsters approaching this time it seemed like winged demons came with the wave adding another hundred monsters. This was getting a little out of hand as the battle continued so did the system notifications of other keeps falling at least these ones fell until the sixth or seventh wave....
