Two new names were added to the party Blckoldsun and Machobro as they were teleported in by the scrolls Rekiller was just handed. Captain Sun was surprised she never though they would bring more people instead of running back to the city. They were true soldiers not leaving their comrades to die alone.
Captain Sun didn't understand the Gamer's mind, they knew if the quest was almost impossible and hard to beat the rewards would rain down from the sky. Everyone but Newbones and Roxie was thinking this way to the victor goes the spoils.
"Dad you know the song isn't black old sun, right? Its black hole..." Raph said to him
"I know I know it's a play on word get it black old sun cuz I'm old." Blckoldsun said.
"Dad jokes just kill me now." Machobro said pretending to puke. "By the way I've been sending you messages for about two hours now how come you won't answer huh I had to team up with this old man just to keep up with you guys."
They called Raph's father old man because he was eight years older than the rest of them he had just been playing casually when he had joined their guild. They noticed his high end strategical value and had him set up fights later on to push their guild to the top. He had always played games casually concentrating on his business but this time it was different. He had always been a workaholic making his businesses very successful, but since his son had gotten sick. He decided to veer away from that form of life style.
He had actually set up very good workers to keep his businesses going so he could spend time with his family. After all that a miracle had happened and his son had gotten better. He decided to put one hundred percent of himself this summer to make up for lost time.
"So, what is the situation." Blkoldsun said.
"Take a look for yourself." Wayslick showed him the large army that was amassed waiting to destroy the keep.
"Let's get to work the enemy will attack soon." Blkoldsun said. Then a system notification came up.
<Four of the eight cities/kingdoms have decided to stay at the keep good luck adventurers>
<The battle will begin in ten minutes>
Most of the soldiers looked dejected they were feeling tired and looking at the wave that was coming for them it looked pretty hopeless. Even with the help of the new experts they felt as if it would take a miracle for them to win.
"If we don't do something about this morale it won't matter what plans we come up with we won't be able to hold for long against the enemy." Wayslick said noticing the soldier's attitudes.
The soldiers were moving slowly looking at the incoming wave, knowing it would be the last fight they would ever see.
"I got an idea." Raph said looking around at the soldiers. "Who here is the fastest one out of all of you?"
Most of the soldiers pointed to one man who a little too young to be fighting on the walls.
"Alright you come with me I got a mission for you." Raph said pulling the man aside saying some words to him than letting him leave the keep as fast as he could. Just as he was leaving the boy seemed to have a serious look on his face running out of the keep. The rest of the men were both jealous and surprised that Raph let him leave just like that, was it mutiny?
Then Raph came back into the camp looking directly at the rest of the men yelling so everyone could hear. "Who here is from one of the outlying villages outside of the city." All the men who were part of the outlying villages raised a spear it was actually most of them.
Raph approached one of them speaking loudly so everyone could hear, it actually wasn't that tough to hear either. Everyone was wondering what he would do know was he going to let this soldier go too? "Tell me soldier what is your name?" Raph asked with a commanding voice.
"Lu Fang sir sword division." The soldier responded loud and crisp standing in attention.
"Lu Fang tell me do you have family in the village that you're from?" Raph asked
"Yes, sir I do." Lu Fang remembering his family and friends that lived in his village.
"What would you do if these monsters were baring their fangs at your village right now." Raph continued.
"I would grab my and shield to defend them Sir!! I wouldn't leave anyone of them alive to come close to my family!" Lu Fang said tightening his grip on his sword and shield.
"Would you drop this sword and shield even if you were stabbed and beaten by these monsters here?" Raph pressed.
"No sir!!! I wouldn't drop either even if they managed to kill me!!" Lu Fang continued forgetting the feeling of being tired standing back up and looking at Raph with burning eyes.
The rest of the men felt Lu Fang's resolve but why was he asking Lu Fang these questions,what was the meaning of his words.
Raph waited a few seconds to continue with a loud and commanding voice. "I sent out that soldier to warn every village to evacuate to the city. He will need time to get everyone to safety we might not be able to defeat the opponent today, but that is not what is important. We will stop as many of these monster beasts from raiding our villages."
The men began to feel a little more motivated some began to stand tall.
Raph continued yelling loudly. "WE WILL STOP THEM FROM KILLING OUR FRIENDS!!!"
Then more of the men began to stand up griping their weapons getting a second wind.
"WE WILL PROTECT OUR FAMILIES!!!"
Then a shout came from the group of soldiers "OUUHHHH!!!!!"
"WE WILL PROTECT OUR KINGDOM AT ALL COSTS"
Another shout came from the men they all lined up on the wall ready to receive the enemy they would give the young soldier as much time as they could. They had to protect their homes from invasion, even the soldiers from the city felt the power of the speech and readied themselves for the incoming wave.
Raph's father gave him the thumbs up, then the group closed the gate and began to get ready for incoming wave that would be upon them soon. It was a good speech giving the troops a much needed boost to their spirit.
Blckoldsun was going to do his best so these soldiers lived to fight another day.....
