The boy walked to the edge of the bed, bent down, and pulled Huo Li’s cheek.
“Thank you for looking after me…”
Huo Li’s warrior heart nearly melted because of him. Hell, it made him want to have a child of his own.
“I’m done, uncle. Can you bring me to Yangyang now?” Huo Xu put his chubby hands around Huo Li’s neck.

“Let me take you to breakfast, and then we’ll go to her, alright?”

“Okay,” little Huo Xu replied readily. If Yangyang was busy, he would return later!
On another floor of the hotel, Lu Zhaoyang had just finished showering and putting on her clothes when Huo Yunting entered her room again with an annoying snicker on his face.
Lu Zhaoyang immediately went to him asked, “Where is Xuxu? Give me back my boy!”

Is she only ever thinking about her son?
Lu Zhaoyang yanked his collar and looked him in the eye.
Xuxu had never been separated from her before. Of course she was worried!
“Give him back! He must be awake now. A three-year-old waking up to an unfamiliar place without his mother must be terrified!”
“You have so much energy. Is the pain gone already?”
Huo Yunting looked down at her teary eyes and pulled her into his arms. “Do I look like a human trafficker?”

“You were drunk last night and you took him away without explaining anything, so what do you think? Take me to him now!”
Huo Yunting noticed that breakfast was left untouched. “Why didn’t you eat?”
“Give me back my boy!” She did not relent.

Huo Yunting reached his hand out to wipe away her tears.
Lu Zhaoyang shivered at the touch of his fingers.
Suddenly, the door opened. It was Huo Li with her adorable little boy.
“Yangyang!”
Little Huo Xu saw his mother and quickly reached his tiny hands out toward her.
Lu Zhaoyang pushed Huo Yunting away and rushed over to pick her son up. “Did you sleep well? Have you had breakfast? They serve really good food here.”
She took her son to the dining table and looked him up and down before finally relaxing when she was convinced that nothing untoward happened to him.
“I ate just now with Uncle Huo Li.”
Young Huo Xu sat down and immediately noticed her red eyes. “Yangyang, did someone bully you? Was it… him?”
Lu Zhaoyang followed his finger and looked to see Huo Yunting with his arms crossed. The latter was studying them with apparent detachment.
“No,” she quickly looked away and changed the topic, “I haven’t eaten anything yet, come join me.”
“Okay!”
The boy sat obediently with his mother but kept his eyes on Huo Yunting, who had moved to the sofa.
Huo Yunting was watching Lu Zhaoyang eat with a smile.
After so many years, she finally learned to take care of her stomach.
