When she was done talking, she felt his cold lips on the back of her hand.
Gu Jinzhi had planted a quick and gentle kiss on her hand.
Before she could protest, he let go of her hand.
“Wen He…” He smiled happily and said, “I’m going to sleep now.”
Gu Jinzhi closed his eyes and allowed the darkness to overcome him completely.
A short while later, the footsteps grew louder.
There was a commotion outside.
Then, Wen He heard someone moving the rocks away. As the rocks were gradually removed, sunlight finally shone into the car through the cracks.

Wen He hugged him back gently. “It’s because I cannot let you go yet. If I die, you’ll marry someone else!”
That was the honest truth.
Huo Chen lips arched slightly and his gazed softened.
Nevertheless, the moment was gone in a second. He narrowed his eyes dangerously and started to lecture her.
“Then perhaps you can tell me why you are right here, despite my orders for you to retreat? You destroyed T Country’s base! You even sent your escorts away!”
