Anna was already waiting by the entrance of the airport when Anthon arrived. Those thirty minutes of waiting for him was like an eternity of torment. Her heart was pounding loudly as she kept on staring at the drop - off area. When he finally stepped down from a car, she was overjoyed. He's coming back, he's coming back to her!
She wanted to run and hug him but in the next moment, she saw him holding Jian. Then, Kuya Nap followed. She stood calmly with a smile, trying hard to conceal the turbulence she felt inside.
"Hello, Jian! " She said smiling as the three approached her.
"Hi, auntie! " Jian smiled back at him while clinging on to his dad.
"Jian, just call me mommy from now on. I and your dad are getting married soon so I will be your second mom. " She said while pinching Jian's chin .
Jian suddenly looked hurt and his eyes instantly turned red. " Dad, I don't want you to get married. "
Kuya Nap laughed. " Do you want to let your dad go old and single forever? "
" She's only joking, my love. We're only workmates. " He rubbed the top of Jian's head to comfort him as he cast a sharp look at Anna.
"I'm sorry, baby! " She apologized though humiliated. It only meant that Anthon was never ready to acknowledge her.
Soon, the three bid goodbyes but Jian did not cry hard again as before. "See you soon, my love. Now, that daddy Jim is not feeling well , I will go home more often. When he will get well, I'll take you all to Dubai. We will do crazy things there together. Okay? "
"Yes, dad. After that two years, please, don't go back there. "

While Anthon and Anna sat down by the waiting area, Aijohn and Grace came by and sat down beside them.
"Going back to Dubai? "Aijohn asked, a big grin broke in his face as he saw Anna.
"Yes. " Anthon answered as he stood up and tapped his shoulder.
" I thought you will have your wedding first. "
"We changed our plan. "
Aijohn laughed lightly which seemed inappropriate for Grace. " Is there something funny? " She asked softly while shifting her stolen glances from Anthon to Anna.
The more Aijohn laughed. "Sorry, Ton. I just remembered something, 'The Broken Vow'. "
Anthon stared at him. "You know about that ? "
"Of course. What are those things I do not know? "
Anthon shook his head and blurted, "silly girl. "
"And it broke your heart. " Aijohn was giggling this time.

"What are the two of you talking about? " Grace was already irritated. It seemed that they were hiding a secret.
"It's a movie, dear, that we watched together. "

Anthon changed the topic, then. " By the way, we have not introduced our girls. "
He , then, looked up to Anna. "Anna, I would like you to meet Dr. Grace, Dr. Aijohn's wife. "
Dr. Grace smiled at Anna and she stood up to greet her with a kiss.
"And you're Anthon's fiancee? "
Anthon met Grace's eyes but he remained silent. Yet, he got startled when Anna spoke.
"Yes. " A big grin spread out in her face.
Anthon was already fidgetting. He just didn't understand why he did not feel proud. He had already decided. They would live together as couples.
Then, Jim's statement came back into his mind. "Love her again. "
Though he never stopped loving her, he just couldn't accept the fact that Jim was going to die and that this was a dying man's request. He would instantly feel goosebumps every time he recalled it.
Why? He could still go on loving her at a distance but she should only be his brother's wife.

While one plane soared high towards the skies of Arabian Gulf, another landed to the runway of Atlanta.
Grace got nervous at the thought of meeting again her favorite designer who was now her biological mother. She could never hold grudge at her. She remembered how she always cried everytime they met, how many were her pairs of clothing from her childhood years until up to the present. In every new design of Hailey's Apparel, her auntie Maxie always made sure that she would have it first. And that was a token of a mother's love!
When the door chimes clattered the moment Grace and Aijohn opened the door, Maxine came out to greet them. She thought that they were just their regular clients. But when she saw that it was Grace, she hurried to greet and hug her. And as she usually did, she cried again.
"Sorry, Gracie. Your auntie Max just misses you so much. " She chuckled in between her snifflings, as she released her.
"Correction. It's mommy Maxine. " She smiled with quivering lips, which in a moment twisted down as she cried.
Maxine was caught offguard by the great surprise. She stood motionless for a moment as her eyes widened and her heart raced. She wanted to say something but words would not come out. She just couldn't believe it.
"Mom told me not to go home without a bespoke which is personally made by you. "
So, it meant she was forgiven. She felt a great load was pulled out from her chest that she cried hard, feeling the sense of freedom engulfing her. She waited long for this moment. She dreamed for the day to come where she would be recognized by her daughter.
"I'll start making it now. " She laughed as they hugged again.
When they both calmed down, Gracie looked at Aijohn and then to Max.
"Mom, meet my husband, Aijohn. "
