"I'm sorry, Miss Max, got into daydreaming again."
"Yes, I understand. Who would not do so when you are planning a lovely wedding set up? " Miss Max smiled and swayed elegantly as she walked towards her.
"Church, garden or beach?"She asked her with wide eyes.
"I dreamed of a botanically - inspired set up, Miss Max."
She said while her thoughts went faraway, imagining the lush greens and the myriad blooms of a kaliedoscopic garden.
"That's perfect! I'll let you sort out through flower arrangement designs, from the set of bouquets, to the centerpieces and hanging flowers. "
"Miss Max, could you please spare me the trouble of thinking and planning about it? I want to be surprised as well. I just want to touch on the major decisions like where our wedding be held and so with the reception area. The guests to be invited and the wedding entourage. I want all the rest to fall into your magical choices, if Jim allows it. "
"Of course, dear. I envied you so much the moment he first came to talk to me about the wedding plan."
Jia's head ached when she saw all those wedding guides. What mattered most was her man...
Back at home later, she got conscious about what Jim had said. "I'll make it twelve hours as a reward tonight!"
She was troubled with the possibility of giving herself to him tonight. What right did she has to refuse? After all, he had already purchased her with a great price. Accepting her and his son as his own, giving her her dreamed educational attainment, loving her unselfishly, and now, that glamorous wedding plans!
She busied herself in the kitchen and in cleaning the house while Jian and Jim were playing in his toy room. She saw to it that all her chores won't be done until Jim would fall asleep ahead of her. She would then be able to make an excuse not to sleep beside him. And it would be because she would not want to disturb him.
However, after Jim tucked Jian into her bed, he saw him slouching in the couch, obviously waiting for her.
She almost had nothing to do anymore.
"Sweetheart, aren't you done yet? "
Her heart raced. He only called her "sweetheart" everytime he was making an endearment.
"In a while but if you are sleepy already, you may go ahead."
"No, I'll wait."
She could no longer make any excuses. So, she walked towards him, trembling inside.
"Shall we go inside your room? Baby is already there." He said casually, in contrast to her pounding heart.
"Okay."
He walked with her to the bedroom with an arm around her shoulder.
"Jia, thanks for today.I'm very
happy."
She was touched. She should have been happier than him and would have been the one to thank him first.
"I'm happier, Jim."She said as she hang her arms into his neck.
"Then show me." He looked into her eyes tenderly as he waited.
Her heart was already pulsating wildly as she reached up to him and claimed his lips... in a most sensual way...
Jim was carried away. His hands moved down into her shoulders then slowly to her body then to her waist..
As she felt his hand crawled into her back, slipping inside her blouse ready to unsnap, he stopped... gasping for breath!
"Go to sleep, now my dear. This can wait until our wedding night." He gave her a tight hug until his beating slowed down.
What could ever make this man imperfect? She asked herself, in silent admiration for him.
While they were both asleep in each of their own bedrooms, somebody was calling in another place, not so far away from them.
"Dr. Grace, these are the informations I have gathered about Miss Jia..." A voice from another part of the earth went through..
And somewhere else in the face of the earth, another call also went through..
"Jay, please help me. I could not bear it any longer. Please give me Jia's contact details.. "
