When Jim went home that night, he decided to tell everything to Jia. The truth may be too much for her to handle but it would set him free. He knew that she would understand the great troubles along the way.

"I am right from the beginning. I could tell those sharp glints in her eyes." Jia sadly said. She felt a sense of pain stucking on her throat but she held it back.

"She had many tricks back then in our IM training but I ignored her. Why can't she give up and look for someone else? " Jim said in a frustrating tone.

"Isn't she beautiful? Isn't she good enough? "Jia asked, masking her pain inside.

"I would be lying if I say she's not. But it's difficult to teach a heart." He shrugged and then he looked into her eyes.

"It's just you, Jia. Always remember that."

The tears she was holding back were now falling fast. She brushed it away and smiled.

"Likewise, Jim." She reached out to hug him and her eyes fell into the two plane tickets he placed over the center table.

Jim caught her eyes and said, "I'm sorry, sweetheart. But you have to go."

She managed a smile. How could she be angry with this man in his shortcomings? This man who did so much for her.

"I'll go and pack now. I'll ask Auntie Elsa to cook for you."

"Don't bother her anymore. I'll learn to do it by myself. I have also called up Ate Nita and informed her of your arrival."

Jia nodded but she had something else in her mind. Damn that research thing! It would no longer give her peace of mind. Why are those who are already wealthy were the ones who were hungrier for more wealth than anyone else? Why would they need to break someone else' dream in order for them to build theirs?

Later into the night, when everything they need was ready, Jim asked to sleep with her. After tonight, she would be sleeping alone and probably, he would be sleeping with her. Anger would always well up inside her everytime the image of his dad would flash in her mind. "You can never bring that Hailey's Pen down to your grave with you! "

After some moments of their intimacies that were slowly deepening each time, they both slept well in each other's embrace.

When Jim woke up in the morning, she was already prepared. All luggages were placed by the door. They would be leaving after she would drop Jim to the hospital.

Jim silently ate his breakfast. He remembered the loneliness he felt when Jia left few months ago to see Anthon. Dr. Grace had everything a man could ever wish, but surely not him. It would always be Jia. Perhaps, love can be learned. Just as how Jia did with him. Just as how she claimed about forgetting Anthon.

Mr. Phyllis Wayne watched Jim as he passionately kissed Jia before he alighted from the car. He was standing in a hidden corner as he waited for Jim to arrive. He was, somehow, moved. He could see how he, indeed, love her in the way he looked at her. In the way he held her.

But Jim had to forget! He must forget for someone better. He must forget for a brighter future. He must forget for a greater fame.

Back at home, as Jia went inside the house, he heard a sound of a car pulling in front of the house. She ignored it and went directly inside the room to prepare Jian. But soon, her doorbell buzzed.

With Jian still sleeping in her arm, she opened the door. And right in front of her, was Mr. Phyllis Wayne.

She, suddenly, became confused on what to say and how would she address him.

"Please, come in. " She managed a thin smile.

Mr. Wayne looked around the living room as he remained standing by the door.

"Jia, I already understand why my son is deeply in love with you. You are naturally so beautiful. Even more beautiful than Gracie girl."

The mention of Dr. Grace name made her heart skip a beat.

"Most of all, in all those ways you cared for him to which I am so thankful of. You filled my own shortcomings. You were there in my absence. You filled his home with life, love and laughter."

"But, Jia, please understand that you were born in different worlds. Jim is meant for someone in the higher society. He has a reputation to protect. As of now, he is just blinded with your presence because he only knew your world and his life rotated only in it, preventing him from seeing the better worlds outside."

"I will give your son a good future but please, set Jim free. You're beautiful. Many others would surely want you. Forget him and love someone else. It won't be easy but not impossible. Just as it won't be easy with Jim as well."

"Forgive me, Jia. But if you truly love my son, please, set him free."

He, then, told her about the offer the Ybañez family offered them. The medical breakthrough. The fame and profit.

He told her about Dr.Grace love for him. And he told her about Dr. Grace' attributes and why she need not compete with her. Because, she can never be like her!

Jian woke up and looked around. His brows creased as he saw Mr. Wayne.

"Mommy, who is he and why are you crying? "

Jia did not answer. She did not know how to introduce him.

"I'm your grandpa. Call me, 'LoLo' from now on. "He smiled as he stretched his arms, inviting the child to come to him.

Jian loosed himself from her and hopped on to Mr. Wayne's arms.

"Lolo! " He, then, clang his tiny arms around his neck and planted kisses on his face.

Mr. Wayne laughed. He was never overjoyed like this. He was even distant to his own kids, how much more to a grandchild?

"Lolo, can we play horsey-horsey?"

Jian asked as his arms was still around the old man's neck.

"Sure! Teach me how to do that."

He laughed. Then he turned to Jia.

"Jia, you can leave the boy to us. "

"Over my dead body, Mr. Wayne. "
