When the best friends finally released themselves in tears, Anthon approached Jia.
"Best wishes.." He looked into her eyes and Jia returned his gaze. She felt his pain and it hurt her as well.
She then threw herself into him and hugged him tight. She could not stop her tears. This was the man she loved for many years.
Anthon hugged her tight as well and kissed her forehead. "Goodbye, Jia."
That was his most excruciating words...
Giselle sobbed again as she wrapped her arm around Anthon to comfort him. She was the reason of this pain, of their failed love story. It all started with her! She was the one to be blamed.

The judge looked at them with admiring eyes. Their vows were not articulated. It honestly came out from their hearts. He was touched the most when he saw the child.. It was such a lovely sight!
He then spoke." Jim, congratulations again.You have such a beautiful family. Take care of them well. "
"Yes, judge. I will." He smiled thinly then went on.
"I wish to invite you on our grand ceremony. It is such a heartache that my bride has no gifts, no bridal car, no fancy gown.. "
The judge chuckled." It is not the luxury of the wedding ceremony that matters, but the union which your wife desires the most. She knows what you want very well. I am even moved when she mentioned about your family... I could almost guess about it. That grand wedding may not happen at all! "

There were baskets of red roses at every corner. At the centertable and at the coffee table were centerpieces of fresh orchids and imported flowers. The room glittered in golden hues as the dim lights of scented candles illuminated the whole place.
Jian was already asleep so Jia tucked him into his bed. She then sat beside him and got lost in her thoughts. Lots of memories floated in her mind. She saw herself again when she was young, when she was in love with Anthon during their high school days. She saw herself when she was struggling to finish her studies but failed.
She saw herself wandering in that Blue Whale Moutain Resort and how she had given herself to Anthon. She saw her running and crying away until she met Jim.
Jim turned her difficult life into something magical. He gave them his life with no conditions. He loved them more than his own.
And now, she's officially Mrs. Jim Wayne.
Then her thoughts went again to Anthon's parting words.
"In life, the road is narrow and long. I will be waiting for you at the end."
A sense of pity for the man she loved before crawled into her heart again. She said a silent prayer. May he'll soon heal and forget. May he'll find a heart that would help him heal the wound. The way she did.
