Her head, without a care in the world, was resting against his broad shoulders while her feet were on his and he moved gently in a slow rhythm along with the music, swaying her along with him. His hands were securely wrapped around her waist, while she had one placed on his chest and the other one around him.

The candles on the table were gently flickering to dim and the lanterns had already reached a distance far enough to not look anything more than small dots of golden light glimmering in the sky that would eventually diminish as well.

"Ain't you tired?" Song Jia asked slowly as the music had now turned to a piece of soft instrumental music, that was soothing to the ears and suited the atmosphere well.

"My stamina is far better than this sweetheart." Wu Zhang whispered in her hair as mirth danced in his eyes, which she missed witnessing.

Had it been some other day, Song Jia would have giggled or shied away from embarrassment due to the underlying meaning of his words. But today her heart and mind were running on an entirely different track right now.

Tonight, she was gathering her courage to bring herself to speak out the words, that were the sole reason for which she had made so much effort in planning the night.

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

As they were moving gently a loud bang echoed in the sky which successfully drew their attention to it, followed by many more similar sounds.

Both of them lifted their heads to see a chain of firecrackers being launched in the sky, one after the other. The lanterns had all disappeared by now and there weren't many stars in the sky. The crackers were launched from all the directions and the glimmering colors were a treat to watch.

The commotion that the fireworks created, they failed to notice that the music playing in the background has stopped and the woman behind both of the actions, was smiling from afar.

Song Jia held Wu Zhang's hand and took him to the opposite end of the square-shaped pergola to look at the fireworks that were splashing the night sky with various vibrant colors, bringing it to life by perishing themselves.

"You planned this as well?" Wu Zhang asked astonished.

"No..." Song Jia whispered slowly while her eyes didn't leave the sky where the sparkles of the crackers were dancing for a brief moment before disappearing and letting the new ones do the same.

At the end of the pergola, where they stood, soft mattresses were placed there, which Song Jia had no idea as to where they came from because it was not a part of her plan.

However not paying any heed to it, she lifted the skirt of her dress and sat down, with her feet slightly touching the water. She then turned to Wu Zhang and tugged at his sleeve. "Sit with me, will you?"

Wu Zhang smiled and after removing his shoes, sat down right next to her, just like she was, with his bare feet hanging, the only difference being that his feet got soaked in water.

The firecrackers that raced to lighten the sky were like the cherry on the cake for this beautiful atmosphere.

A quiet night, under the open sky, water beneath the feet, two lovers lost in each other without any care in the world, and no one to disturb them. At such time, the firecrackers were not only lighting the sky but also igniting the fire inside them, that they had kept pacified until now.

Song Jia finally managed to gather courage inside her and turned to face Wu Zhang who was already looking at her. Only she knew how her heart was somersaulting in her chest when her eyes met with his. She smiled and asked in a small voice, "Isn't it beautiful?"

Wu Zhang shook his head and gently smiled. "Not as much as you."

Dang it! He is doing it again!!

Her smile faltered and she lowered her head, whereas Wu Zhang turned to look back at the sky to give her some space. He was very much enjoying the messed up expression on her face.

Not wanting to lose her focus, she gently reached for his hand that was resting beside him and interlocked her slender fingers with his slightly rough ones. She looked at him again and opened her mouth and the words finally came out. "Wu Zhang I love you."

Wu Zhang instantly froze in his place. It was his turn to get bewildered. His face was blank, or to be precise, it was pale. Like he has seen a ghost. "What. did. you. say?"

"I- I love you... I have fallen in love with you..." She started cowering because the expression on his face right now and what she expected it to be were not matching.

Wu Zhang immediately turned to face her and grabbed her shoulders. "Say it again."

"I love you." She whispered slowly.

The next moment a pair of thin cold lips crashed against her warm supple ones and she was totally taken aback. His lips pressed against hers to make her open her mouth, creating a path for his tongue to enter.

His warm tongue entered the little cave and explored every inch of it, meeting her tongue on the way as they twirled together inside her mouth and the fireworks rejoiced for their love by dancing outside in the sky.

He yanked her closer by one hand and slightly pulled her hair to align her mouth with his so that they could perfectly mold into the shape of each other.

None of them knew for how long they kissed as he pulled back only when she started to struggle to catch her breath. He didn't let go of her face and looked in her eyes that were slightly blurry. "You have no idea how much have I waited for you to say this. I love you too Song Jia. I have been in love with you ever since I saw you for the first time and I would always, no matter what comes our way, I would always love you."

And with those words said, their lips met yet again.

At a certain distance away from where the two people were, Wei Xin turned to Li Jing whose eyes were glued at the fireworks in front of him until his boss and future lady boss started to kiss and he had to divert his gaze. Not that he was looking at them anyway. "Are you just going to keep standing here like a potato?"

"Uhh, what?" Li Jing was not sure if he heard it correct.

"We need to give them their space and leave. Let's go!" She looked at him, taking her eyes away from the phone, with which she was monitoring the entire arrangements and making sure, no mistakes were made.

"Yes we should leave, but did you just call me a potato?" His forehead had horizontal lines of frown and he didn't look pleased with the remark, not even a bit.

She turned her focus back to the screen of her phone to type the final message. "Stop the fireworks and withdraw after dimming all the lights."

"I think yes I did. Let's go now." Without waiting for another word, Wei Xin turned around to get in the Ferrari that she was leaning against till now, and left with no choice, Li Jing was forced to leave as well and leave the argument for the next time.
