Sensing the tension in the air, Amy understood that Ryan is not happy with her decision. She wants to convey her thoughts to him. So after a while she called him in a low voice. "Ryan.."
When he turned to look at her, Ryan's eyes are filled with coldness. Unconsciously Amy stiffened upon his gaze. She wanted to talk to him but now she swallowed her words.
Before hearing her voice, Ryan was busy threatening Rachel with his look. So when he heard Amy's call he directly looked at her without changing his expression. Only after seeing Amy's shock he understood his mistake. He hurriedly changed his demeanor and asked in a gentle voice: "Have something to say?"
Though these exchanges happened within seconds, they didn't escape the sight of Rachel. She sighed upon seeing Amy's tensed look. "This girl... can't even withstand a cold look. How is she going to survive among foxes and snakes?" Her protective nature flared up and again she decided to teach Amy everything she knew.
On the other hand, For Amy it's not like she has not encountered these looks. In both her previous and present life, she has seen plenty. But what shocked her is the fact that Ryan can look at her like that. From the day they meet, Ryan is always gentle towards her.
She doesn't care about others, but Ryan, he is different. She doesn't want him to look at her with a face void of emotion.
After Ryan's question, Amy just nodded without answering. Seeing her spiritless nod, Ryan cursed himself in his mind. In future, he has to be careful around her. He absolutely doesn't want to hurt her, even as a mistake.
"I'll leave you two alone to discuss." Rachel doesn't want to disturb the two, so she decided to give them some space.
As soon as she left the room, Amy looked at Ryan. "I'll stay." She said without beating around the bush.
Ryan raised his eyebrows. "So..you just want to inform me about your decision. Then why am I here for? You can do everything by yourself."
"It's not like that. I really want to learn from Rachel. You yourself said that being with her will help me a lot." Amy hurriedly explained.
Hearing this Ryan really wished to slap himself. If he knew that this will happen, he would've never created a plan like this. Instead, even if he has to tie her up, he would've have forced her to work for him. But now it's too late. "I've gone soft.." he sighed within his mind.
He closed his eyes and said: "Fine. The decision is yours. It has nothing to do with me." Though he knew that Amy's decision in right he is still angry.
Amy wants to explain it to him again but suddenly remembered his previous gaze. She closed her mouth. She really doesn't want him to look at her like that ever again.
The room is eeriely silent. When Rachel returned after ten minutes, she felt that something is wrong. Glancing at the couple, she chuckled and asked: "Lover's quarrel..Huh?"
