After entering the cafe, both of them ordered latte. Settling down on the nearby table, Amy again scrutinized the man in front of her. "So the reason?"
Snapping out of the flashback Ryan stumbled a bit and asked, "Ah...Yeah?"
"The reason?" Amy frowned.
"Yeah... the reason." After taking a deep breath, he answered with a straight face: "It's my father's wish."
Technically what he said is not totally a lie. His parents has been forcing him to marry but the girl is totally his choice.
Hearing his answer, Amy again frowned: "Your father?"
"Mmm...My dad saw you at an interview and it seems that you have impressed him. I don't the reason but after giving me your details, he asked me to marry you." Though Ryan's face doesn't display much expression, his heart is beating faster while saying this. He forced himself to calm down. Anyway she will not meet his father for a while. Moreover he already knew that she has been in search of a job.
"You want to marry me just for your father's wish?. You don't look like that kind of person." Amy still can't believe this guy. Well, who'll believe these kind of excuses.
Ryan felt the pressure rising around him. "This is the first time my old man has asked me to do something for him. So I have no way to refuse him." Anyway I've already started, so it's better to keep up the act.
After a period of silence, Amy sighed: "Do you think that I'll agree for the marriage?"
Ryan smiled: "I know you won't. I have proposal for you. Willing to hear that out?"
Amy looked at him with a surprised look. "Proposal?." After a minute of silence she said, "Ok, What is it?"
"Your family's situation I'll take care of it. Your father will get a stable job. I'll also help your brothers with their education." This is a trap that Ryan has prepared for her. He knew that this girl loved her family to the core. In order to get her permission for marriage, he has no other choice but to use her family as a bait.
But Amy's expression darkened upon hearing his words. "You want me to sell myself to you?". She is furious.
Ryan sighed. "Don't misunderstand. If you agree for this you'll get what you want and I'll get what I want. If you don't like our marriage in the future then you can leave me. I won't stop you." But I don't plan on letting you go Ryan vowed in his mind.
Hearing this, Amy's face relaxed. In her mind, she has already started to analyze the pros and cons. If it's before, she would never accept such a deal. But at present she knew her family situation. It's already been a great struggle for her parents to pass each day. Moreover their house is also a rented one. If this guy helps them, then it'll greatly enhance their family situation.
As for leaving him in the future, Amy has no intention of doing that. "If I marry him then I'll make him stay with me till the end. Even if I'm not that beautiful if I put my heart into it I can definitely make him fall for me. Fine! then that's that. I'll just seduce him."
Deciding this, Amy glanced at him. Ryan felt a deep chill on his back. After taking a deep breath Amy smiled brightly: "Ok, then that's a deal."
Though he is happy, Ryan deeply felt that something is different in that bright smile.
