The next morning Gregor awoke to find Nin Li and William already up waiting in the living room. The servants were bit concerned when they first saw them, but since they were polite and well mannered. They didn't think much of it when they said they were Gregor's guest.
"Lady Nin! Young Master William! You're already up, my apologies I thought I'd woken up earlier than you. I was planning to have the servants prepare something for you, I'll get them to prepare something now" said Gregor apologetically.
"That's alright they've already attended to us, you should eat something first so that we can talk" said William
Gregor was reluctant at first but William and Nin Li insisted. After Gregor finished his breakfast, he led William and Nin Li into his study where they could converse in private.
"Guild leader Gregor, first here is the one hundred and twenty thousand gold you lent me yesterday." said William as he removed a pile of gold coins from his interspatial ring and passed it over to Gregor
Gregor knew that William removed Lord Has interspatial ring last night so he wasn't surprised by William's sudden increase in capital.
"You needn't return it all at once young master William, I only need one hundred thousand gold coins to pay the mu clan auction house. You can hold on to twenty thousand so that I don't leave you completely without funds" replied Gregor
"That's alright, lord Has had much more funds than that in his possession" replied William with a smile.
"Really? I always assumed lord Has was just a minor lord here at Feros. I suppose my knowledge of Feros isn't as grand as I thought" replied Gregor as he put the gold coins into his interspatial ring.
"Guild leader Gregor, what I wish to know is does lord Florence have enough influence to resolve the issues your having with the alchemist guild?" asked William.
"I believe so, he may not have the sole decision but he is one of the main pillars of Feros. Many of the lords support him, should he lean a certain way many of the lords are far more likely to agree with his decision solely on the fact that they trust his judgment." replied Gregor
"My other question is why are lords of city deciding who the guild leader of the alchemist guild should be? Isn't that something the alchemist guild should decide." asked William.
Nin Li seemed like she knew the answer to that but let Gregor explain it.
"The truth is they can't decide who gets to be the guild leader, only the alchemist guild can decide that. However, since most of the revenue from the alchemist guild comes from the noble houses. They are allowed to "suggest" who they don't want as guild leader." replied Gregor
"I see, so if they all agree to stop purchasing from the alchemist guild it wouldn't be good for business. So this meeting the lords are having, is mostly to see if they agree to boycott any purchase from the alchemist guild until your removed as guild leader" replied William
"Well... Yes, that's pretty much it." replied Gregor
"But why would the lords agree to this in the first place? It has no affect on them who the guild leader is anyways." replied William
"My guess is they were given promises from my competitors that they probably wont be able to keep for long" replied Gregor.
"I see, well for now let's just wait for lord Florence and see if he'll truly support you." replied William.
"Yes he should be here around mid day, would you like me to show you around the house or perhaps I can show you around neighborhood as well" asked Gregor.
"There's actually one more matter I would like to address, it's your driver" replied William.
"My driver...? Did you remember something?" replied Gregor.
"Well Nin Li and I were discussing earlier, after combing what I heard and what she heard I managed to piece together what happened..." said William
William proceeded to tell Gregor what he had learned.
"Poor Henry, although I am disappointed in what he did. He didn't mean any harm towards me, now I have tell his family about it." replied Gregor with a sad look
"When you talk to his family, can you give them this..." said William as he handed Bac's interspatial ring over.
"Bac's ring? Young master are you sure? Shouldn't you keep it?" asked Gregor
"It's fine I already removed all that I want from there, there's food clothing and forty two thousand gold coins in there. It should be enough for them to live a wealthy life" replied William.
"That seems a bit excessive but alright, I'll be sure to pass this on" replied Gregor.
The three continued on making making small talk until lord Florence arrived. Lord Florence looked completely exhausted as if he hadn't slept all night. After giving a few pleasantries they all stepped into Gregor's study. The servant's brought tea, and lord Florence was the first to break the ice in the conversation.
"Guild leader Gregor, I would like you to know that you need not worry about the upcoming review. I've spoken to the other lords and we've come to an arrangement, all lords will continue to support you're position as guild leader of the apothecary guild. Should the apothecary still replace you, the lords of Feros will relocate our business elsewhere" said lord Florence respectfully.
"Lord Florence do you truly mean it?!" replied Gregor surprised
"Truly, I am willing to swear an oath to prove it" replied lord Florence as he proceeded to swear an oath.
Gregor was shocked beyond belief. He then realized why lord Florence looked so exhausted, he most likely spent all night convincing other lords. Lord Florence most definitely made the other lords swear oaths as well, otherwise he wouldn't swear an oath himself expecting the other lords to simply keep their promise.
"Young master, may we discuss with you about the other matter?" asked lord Florence politely.
"After all you've done how could I not, please speak your mind Lord Florence" replied William
