William walked up to his room and once more began to cultivate, he cultivated diligently for a week then a month, two months, three months...

After eight months of cultivating...

Moj Dak suddenly appeared in the tower all scratched up full a of bruises, with his robe all torn up barely standing.

"Aahh! Damn it that golem was no joke! He almost got me again that time." said Moj Dak as he fell to his knees breathing heavily.

Nin Li flew into the tower at that time through a small window.

"Master! You've returned!" yelled Nin Li as she noticed Moj Dak

"Oh Nin Li, there you are. How are you?" asked Moj Dak as he began to stand.

Nin Li quickly flew over and turned into her human shape to help Moj Dak stand up.

"Master! I'm fine, it's you who doesn't look too well." said Nin Li with a worried face.

"I'll be alright after a warm bath" said Moj Dak with a smile.

"I'll go prepare one for you right away, let me just guide you a chair first." said Ni Li as she walked Moj Dak over to a chair.

"Thank you, Nin Li you are truly wonderful" said Moj Dak as he sat down.

"Master... How many did you use this time?" asked Nin Li with a worried face.

"This time it was bit tougher..." replied Moj Dak

"How many?" asked Nin Li

"This time it was twelve" replied Moj Dak

"Twelve! It was that difficult! These missions they're just getting more and more dangerous! Last time it was seven this time it was twelve! How many will it take next time?!" asked Nin Li worried

"Don't worry I still have more than nine hundred" replied Moj Dak with a smile.

"That's not the point! If you keep going on these dangerous missions it will only be a matter of time until you have... none left..." replied Nin Li with a sad look.

"Nin Li, I am one of the four greats. It is my duty get the scrolls, the others have their difficulties too. Besides, there's only one left now. Once, I get it I'll come back here and stay with you." said Moj Dak

"Until you find out where the other scrolls are..." mumbled Nin Li with a sad look.

"Anyways how are things at the tower, how's William doing" replied Moj Dak with a smile pretending not to notice Nin Li's mumbling.

"The tower is fine, the force field has be acting up a little but I've resolved the issue. The camouflage spell around the tower dispersed the other day so I had Mi Mi cast a new one. As for William... he's been cultivating none stop since you left" replied Nin Li

"I see, well that's good to hear" replied Moj Dak

"No, I mean he hasn't stopped even to eat or sleep." replied Nin Li

"Ah, well he is a bit odd that William." replied Moj Dak

"Odd? Even if the soul stones eliminate the need to eat or sleep. He should still feel fatigue and hunger, at least until he reaches the later realms of silver rank." replied Nin Li with a worried face.

"Just let him be, if he feels he can handle it'll help temper his mind." replied Moj Dak

"If you say so... I'll go prepare the bath I'll have my puppet's bring you something to eat." replied Nin Li

"That's alright, I'm not hungry" replied Moj Dak

"You're going to eat... specially since you're probably running low on soul stones you shouldn't waste them!" replied Nin Li with an angry look.

"Soul stones... I still have plenty" said Moj Dak with a smile.

"Don't lie to me, like you did William. Why did you tell him you got all of those soul stones from the scroll hunt? At best you probably only have a thousand low tier soul stones left. Those mid tier and high tier soul stones were rewards from the wizard guild." said Nin Li

"He needs them more than I do, besides he might not have taken them otherwise." replied Moj Dak

"William is young and smart he has plenty of ways to get them with time. You on the other hand need them too frequently specially with the seal always needing reinforcement. Which by the way, is coming up in another 3 years" said Nin Li

"I'll get more by then don't worry, if anything I'll just take another loan from the guild" replied Moj Dak

"If they knew about the seal, they would just give them to you" said Nin Li with an angry look.

"We can't you know how they'll react, if they get involved it'll only cause unnecessary panic. As long as we keep supplying the seal with soul stones it'll stay under control and everything will be fine." replied Moj Dak.

Nin Li stared at Moj Dak monetarily, then left to warm the bath for him. In the meantime a puppet brought a meal for Moj Dak and he ate it calmly, he then went to bathe an changed to a fresh set of clothes once done.

"Nin Li, I'll be off now" said Moj Dak.

"Stay safe master!" said Nin Li

Moj Dak vanished into thin air once more.

7 months later Moj Dak showed up once more, this time he wasn't scratched up or bruised.

He was however covered in snow and his skin was almost blue as if he'd been inside a freezer, he had a large fur coat on and was shivering from head to toe.

"D-D-D-D-a-a-a-m-m-m-m-m-i-i-i-t-t-!!! Th-that was-s-s s-so co-co-cold!!! Stu-Stupid Yet-t-ti!" yelled Moj Dak while shivering intensely.

"N-N-N-N-I-I-N-N L-L-L-I-I-I!!" yelled Moj Dak still shivering

Nin Li quickly came flying down from upstairs.

"Master you're back! Wow you seem really cold I'll prepare a warm bath right now!" yelled Nin Li as she flew away as quickly as she could.

After taking his warm bath and changing into some comfortable robes Moj Dak seemed to have recovered the red glow on his cheeks. Nin Li was waiting patiently for him outside.

"Ah! I've waited months to feel this warm." said Moj Dak as he walked out of the bath, steam coming out behind him.

"Master, you seem better now" said Nin Li

"Oh Nin Li! Sorry for yelling earlier, honestly it was the cold talking" said Moj Dak

"No worries master, how was your trip?" asked Nin Li

"I was successful, the ice scroll is in my possession. Before you ask, I used three this time. I'm not going to say it was easier, but it was certainly less deadly. The only reason I died this time was because of the cold, it was more own stupidity really... For relaying more on warm clothing than heating spells" replied Moj Dak

"I'm just glad it's finally over, at least for now." replied Nin Li

"So how are things at the tower? How is a our little magician cultivator?" asked Moj Dak

"William is the same as always never resting or eating. I check up on him on a daily basis, he seems to be accumulating quite a bit of mana already and in a few more months he should be ready to open his magic gate." replied Nin Li

"That's wonderful" replied Moj Dak

"It's the tower I'm having trouble with, it seems we may need to remove the force field formation entirely and set up a brand new one. No matter how many times I repair it with patches, another tear appears in another area within a week or two." replied Nin Li

"Mmm... That's odd, this formation should have lasted at least another 500 years or so. I'll go get a formation master to have a look at it, he might be able to figure out what's wrong. Setting a new formation will cost too much" replied Moj Dak.

Moj Dak and Ni Li spend the next five months working with a formation master trying to figure out what was wrong with the formation. They frustratingly kept coming up with nothing for five months. Until they discovered that magical beasts known as mole-eels, were consuming the soul stones needed to power the formation.

Once the source of the problem was found, it was only a matter of hunting down the mole-eels. The formation issues were then resolved with no further set backs.

Another four months quickly went by.

William was sitting in his bed crossed leg, his hair was significantly longer than is own body now even though he had grown several inches. He had a soul stone in his right hand, his eyes were closed and he had a calm look on his face.

Suddenly William began to frown with his eyes still closed.

"It's ready, it's now or never. OPEN!" thought William with a frown on his face.

William was picturing two large metal doors that were locked in front of him. The sound of chains rubbing together could be heard, and the door began to slowly open. A bright white light was coming from within, the doors suddenly slams open covering William in the white light.

William opens his eyes slowly.
